Hey y'all! As we approach 2025, I want to give a quick update about where I want to take this channel. I've had an absolute blast producing these study videos, but I feel like there's a finite number of tips that I've been starting to repeat. I also feel like my content mostly caters to younger students who are early in their high school careers, and in the process, I've neglected some of my older viewers interested in topics beyond academics. As such, I want to lean more into "journalistic" pieces, similar to the video I produced about Math 55. I had a *ton* of fun producing that project as it pushed me outside my comfort zone, challenging me both creatively and intellectually. I'd love to continue with that style, exploring random (yet interesting) topics such as memory champions, nature vs. nurture as it relates to intelligence, weird college classes across the country, and more. Let me know how y'all feel about this! Would love any and all feedback. :)
What resonated with me the most was when you mentioned how people of today's age just don't read as many books today. I am, unfortunately one of those people who arduously fails at reading books. This is my promise to you: I will not only start reading books this winter break, but I will make it a habit to read them every day from today on, even if it's just a couple of pages.
i am the exact opposite, i love reading books, especially fantasy, i would reccomend something like wings of fire or warrior cats, i love both series (im not a furry tho)
Awesome goal! Just keep in mind, if one day you forget to read, don’t give up. Just keep reading like it didn’t happen. That’s the best way to keep a habit going long term
You can never skip a gohar vid. Im watching this to regain motivation to lock in as i have my gcse in 2026 and i basically just have one year to prepare. thank you
What resonates most with me is learning a new skill.Im more of a stem (maths) person so things like coding possibly might now make me seem special ,art however seems very interesting though I’ve tried many times but failed probably because it’s not something you can instantly understand with specific answers like maths but you need to explore yourself 🤓
There's wuite a bit of math in some fine arts stuff. Also, yeah, as someone in school band, it's not sometime that you can understand in a day for most people.
Im trying to do my best this past months, I got a new job on a great industry and even got some new hardware for my pc with my own money (Im 16y btw), but Im anxious about the future and if this winter Im going to improve some way, because all other times I got some real high goals and achived anything. But even so, I going to try my best and just continue, even if I cant do all, at least something I going to do! Hope all of you achieve what you need and have a great time doind so, gl
Thanks Gohar! Your videos LITERALLY guided me all throughout this year. I'm trying to read more but can never find the time 😭I checked out loads of books recently and want to read them all by the end of this year. WISH ME LUCK 😅
This video has SO MUCH important information. Wish I had this during July when it is winter in Australia and it is actually quite cold, especially in Melbourne. I'm saving this video for next winter, right now, it's like 35 degrees celsius outside :) What resonated with me was how a MINUSCULE improvement of 1% daily can compound rapidly into an improvement which shocked me. I'm ready to pursue a skill which I have avoided a lot - debating.
so glad to hear that!! I'm just as amazed by the 1% rule-the math seems unreal, but I think it's critical for everyone to recognize the impact of small, daily improvements compounded over time. best of luck on your debate journey and hope you're surviving the Melbourne heat haha :)
Genuinely perfect timing, my grades are the worst they’ve ever been in all my years of school. Hopefully I can salvage them . for this semester and do better next semester 💪💪
The whole video is just really inspiring. I hope I pursue my goals. I always try to do the "New Years Resolutions" but it never lasts. With the small step of trying to continue something through just the winter really makes me want to try to improve myself and maintain my academics. Honestly, I can't pick one part of the video, it's all very helpful.
notes: don't wait until the next year to accomplish your goals get out of the winter slump (being tired and sad) by prioritizing the sun develop a morning routine create semester feedback (using the google doc) set a winter skill goal (maybe something you have not done before) try to get 1% better everyday read an actual book cherish the holidays use your phone less
Okay so I loved the thing about doing something 1% of each day and that you will be like 2 times better at the end of the month. Provided great motivation to work on things I'm not that familiar with, especially since I honestly have been putting them off for the reason that my "majors" in college or in university is not going to be that. I think your video hit right on the spot for me as always.. please keep on the work 😅
I think I resonate with you because you said to focus on goals connecting the dots by learning different skills and still spend time with your loved ones.In short balancing being isolated for goals and involved for family and try different things and connect the dots 😃.
i don't have a local library sadly BUT, my mother used to read a ton of books! so i will always have a new book to read, maybe stories, maybe informational. this is definitely something i want to improve on, because sadly my attention span isn't at its best right now. but im trying to improve that now that i have some free time this winter! i hope i am able to get even 3% better this winter :') thank you gohar for the engaging video, and meaningful topics!! good luck to everyone starting a winter arc today! 💛
Thank you Gohar for the tips. I plan to improve some of my aspects too, such as developing new skills like cycling, instrumentals, speaking etc. My biggest challenge with all of these things is my discipline, determination and willpower though, which I also have to improve a ton. Once again, thanks for the video.
Thanks Gohar for helping me throughout my school career! I wouldn't be the (almost) straight A student I am if it wasn't for you! I'm boutta level up this winter arc 🥶
I always love how informative and engaging these videos are. Cheers to the path to productivity (genuinely though, Gohar is so helpful, now I’m ranked top student despite having no tutors. Thank you 🙏)
What resonated with me the most to be honest is reading books as well as trying to gain new skills. I've been trying to read and edit videos but i never make the time for it. I promise to you I will finish that one video AT LEAST and read for a bit everyday.
Gohar your video helped me a lot , My final and the most important exams are coming just in 2 months and i get to know how i should train myself for that arena by watching your video.
I am a RUclipsr and was forced to pause getting vids up because I am in marching band. But this video has made me realize that it's not too late to do anything with your life.
I wsn't even aware that such a thing as this winter tiredness or how that was called even existed. Like *actually* a real thing and not just a saying haha I'm for sure gonna try those tips, Gohar, you're a fucking angel for this content in the first place. I love you man (I literally got my maths exam back today and basically was half a point away from an F- did cry over that shit abut genuinely that vid motivated me) Stay save anyone who is reading this
I used to put off things too. Heres the system I used to improve, and the one i STILL use today. I name it the thermometer method. The reason being was because i wanted to become more attractive/hotter. Get it? Its just a stupid play on words. How it works is you start off as a 1/10. On a white board, i have a thermometer and i have 10 checkpoints. Where I start is 1/10. I write 9 Long term goals. Right now I have: play piano for 30 minutes every day. When I eventually play 30 minutes of piano every day, i can cross that off my nine set goals. Then I color it in. I am now a 2/10 When I get to 10/10 I restart, and I’m back at 1/10. Now lets say i stopped playing piano for 30 days. I take off 1 rating off my thermometer, so if i was a 5/10 then i am now a 4/10, and re-add play piano for 30 days. Ive gone through 4 thermometers so far, and had to re-add three goals. In all fairness, it is degrading to some extent. Calling yourself or seeing 4/10 might not feel the best. But for me, its the best. I also think having 9 goals vs 10 helped me too, since i always had ten goals at all time and that was a but overwhelming. But now, i have maybe 7 goals, maybe i have only 3 goals. And when i have none, i go back to 1/10 and get to reflect thoroughly in what i want from me. Seriously try it out.
I love that idea of honing a spike of a few different skills; that's genius right there. i'm in 8th grade, and I'm pretty humanities/creative-oriented (I enjoy journaling + writing, playing the guitar, as well as competitive tennis). but I've also picked up coding a few years ago and I've been taking on heavier medical research opportunities both online and in-person, as I have a strong passion for academic research within medicine. at the same time, I'm thinking about doing humanities research that is also related to medicine, but that might come later down the road. this was my way of fusing my creative + humanities quirks with my STEM and research side. not to mention that I play competitive tennis. I hope this example can help you guys as well to find ways to intertwine your interests together to be THAT student that colleges are fascinated by. thanks gohar
im a student in bangladesh. one of the top most important exam is coming up. this was the point where I change my self. thanks a lot. I'm going to hide my phone. i love your videos. wish to meet you someday. you help me a lot all the time. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
As an Aussie, it is too hot to even walk barefoot anymore well unless you want to get blisters and burns on your feet. Not related to the video but it’s so funny how the rest of the world is like covered in snow and we’re locked in side, aircons raring, zoopersoopers in hand and a shit ton of cold beers

I think its a great idea but don't stop doing these videos for younger high schoolers (like me) because we all need it!
Sounds like a plan!
It’s a great idea! 💡 You can touch on more people, who view your videos! Journalism piques my interest.
