Yeah, the game is enjoyable solo. My friends dislike DotA 2 and play LoL, so I have to play solo 99% of the time and I'm having a lot of fun. On the other hand I never had fun playing LoL unless I was playing with friends.

If anything, Dota 2 cosmetics can be pay to lose because you can locate where certain heroes are because their pets just give them away. Or in the case of the Mirana persona cosmetic, the sacred arrow where it usually is somewhat hard to spot during a fight becomes an ashe ult levels of visibility.
It happened to me, I spent around 6 years away from Dota2, but now I sometimes login and play a couple of turbos with some friends and thats enjoyable, I dont even have a "rank" anymore, I just turbo so I dont lose a lot of time in a game if its a bad matchup

Older i got the less entertaining macro game became appealing to me outside of an old school rts game. Turbo is more appealing because after work i want to sit down and just brawl it out amongst team not manipulate the map to my favor for advantages, camp pulling, freezing, stacking and the other macro play thats common practices ancient and above, it just felt like you arent playing a game anymore. Thats just my opinion though maybe ive been playing for too long dota 1 to today 21 years of dota

I play archon -ancient pup all pick solo and I would say 95% of the time games are pretty chill. It’s mostly ranked where the toxic players are.
