@@theunknown4570 u know wat, u r very correct. Now I'm not arguing with u I just want to point out that in my humble opinion Kevin Costner's Wyatt Earp film deserved nominations while I was not a fan of Tombstone. My point is that as a fan of realistic remakes or retelling of historical events KC n his version of Earp n all that happened was dead on from all the transcripts from the court appreances. Not to bore u to death but for buffs of this incident and that time in history, in future centuries wen looking back I believe that Jeff Guinns The Last Gunfight will be regarded as THE comprehensive report/paperwork OR ANY such writing on that period in American History. In my humble opinion wen all bs is shoveled thru and we get thru the whole "The guys that wore the white hats were the good guys... AND the man who wore black was evil" bullshit we will see history in it's truest form and finally able to admit as well as mature enough to understand exactly wat the comman men like my Papi and his Papi were tryin to explain. From here to the others side of the World and back again, not every good man has nothing but good in him and not every bad man is full evil intentions. Yes, there are many exceptions but for the most part no. I make nothing from suggesting Guinn's book or Costner's flick BUT if u want no bs type of entertainment those 2 r it. If u want big Hollywood type lines and over acting well then Tombstone is it. No disrespect intended. But yes I must say although Quaid did wonderfully as Doc Holiday, Kilmer and his method acting was not matched and as far as The Doors movie, it's ridiculous that Val was overlooked. No excuses. They were pathetic and scared to nominate him or anything Oliver Stone related. Denzel and Ethan, director n supporting cast as Training Day itself ALL changed Hollywood permanently. In that 1 way for the best. They grew balls n decided to give the evil guys or at least the Grey between Black AND White, their up comings!!!
Somebody asked John lennon if he hears the Beatles on the radio, is it pleasing. Lennon said he critiques everything and can always catch ,"something I'd change."
I love him in the first three parts he played one after the other in major productions, in 1974-75 : ‘The Godfather (Part II)’, ‘Taxi Driver’, and Bertolucci’s epic, ‘1900’. He was a true revelation at the time, and those films made him a worldwide star.

Finally someone who's honest about his own work. I don't know why jornalists keep asking actors what their favourite movie is when they are promoting a new movie. Of course the answer is going to be "the one I'm being paid to promote right now". De Niro has got nothing else to prove and can be honest about it.
Midnight run is my favourite DeNiro film but there are so many other great movies that he did, I just love the plot and the comedy plus the ending is the big payoff ( literally) in that film. 😂
Love love Midnight Run! I agree that it is so ridiculously underrated, unfortunately. I guess because other DeNiro films gets so much attention that it overshadows this gem.

He reminds me do much of my dad... they are from the generation that worked hard because they had to, are kinder, humbler, stronger & better than most people give them credit for.
I have to agree with you. The film is a masterpiece. Film students have been dissecting and learning from that movie since it came out. Tough critics have called it “brutal, flawless, mesmerising, and sublime.” Each scene is a story, and there is not-a-minute wasted. The mausoleum may be the most-perfect scene-of- the twentieth century. Every breath DeNiro/ “Noodles” takes, in that scene, has meaning. The entire film beckons the viewer to look more closely.
His best performance. I was 10 years old, I could not believe it was an actor. I thought it was a real person... Has been by #1 actor since. He's amazing!

Want to talk about robbed of an Oscar. Val Kilmer. For the doors, and tombstone
Star studded group
@@SkyNetGeneral-Silence of the lambs is also a crime thriller and it swept the academy in 92
Scorsese was robbed many times as well
Somebody asked John lennon if he hears the Beatles on the radio, is it pleasing.
Only love for mentioning 1900
That's a helluva start to an acting career.
I mean god damn.
He is so humble. It’s impossible to pick a favorite. The man’s a legend.
every thing R D has done is incredibly skilled , he is a legend
Noodles in once upon a time in America
YESSIR !!!!
"Mean Streets"
Casino, Goodfellas, and Raging Bull. I love that Bob is so self-effacing about his amazing talent. Bob, as the song goes, “There will never be another you”. You’re brilliant; never a false note in your acting, and I’ve had the pleasure of seeing all of your films. 🎬❤️🎬
My favorite De Niro movie in terms of his acting prowess: *Raging Bull*
Pretty easy choice.
Godfather 2. He nailed Vito Corleone.
Asking favorite Robert movies to Robert is classic.
What he’s saying is “not the film I’m promoting right now”. 😂
😂😂😂
Damn shame. Only doing bad movies to pay alimony.
Finally someone who's honest about his own work. I don't know why jornalists keep asking actors what their favourite movie is when they are promoting a new movie. Of course the answer is going to be "the one I'm being paid to promote right now".
De Niro has got nothing else to prove and can be honest about it.
Maybe they were promoting Bookie? It could be About my father, though.
He was really good in Ronin
Yeah that’s a great choice what a film.
God bless Robert De Niro, he looks just like my late grandpa, RIP.
Midnight run is my favourite DeNiro film but there are so many other great movies that he did, I just love the plot and the comedy plus the ending is the big payoff ( literally) in that film. 😂
Ridiculously underrated film 🎥
Love love Midnight Run! I agree that it is so ridiculously underrated, unfortunately. I guess because other DeNiro films gets so much attention that it overshadows this gem.
Midnight Run is so CRIMINALLY underrated that I actually actively looked in the comments to make sure that it was at least getting SOME love - & I’m glad it is! 👏👏👏
Great flick!
He reminds me do much of my dad... they are from the generation that worked hard because they had to, are kinder, humbler, stronger & better than most people give them credit for.
His performance as Jack Walsh in Midnight Run (1988) has always seemed overlooked to me. Love that movie.
Once upon a time in America the greatest movie ever
Masterpiece! And Deborah’s Theme is the most beautiful piece of music ever created ❤
@@Llphi We should demand the six-hour version
I have to agree with you.
The film is a masterpiece.
Film students have been dissecting and learning from that movie since it came out.
Tough critics have called it “brutal, flawless, mesmerising, and sublime.”
Each scene is a story, and there is not-a-minute wasted.
The mausoleum may be the most-perfect scene-of- the twentieth century.
Every breath DeNiro/ “Noodles” takes, in that scene, has meaning.
The entire film beckons the viewer to look more closely.
@@JaimeMesChiens oh yes ma'am that movie beyond description
Heat is pretty underrated.
“Great frickin flick!”
Not underrated. But it's a really good movie.
Not at all. A classic. They are even doing a sequel.
Are you kidding? Everybody I know says Heat is in the top five films of all time!
everybody you knows no nothing about movies my friend, top 5 ALL TIME? SERIOUSLY? @@You_Tube000
His performance in the awakenings is underrated
Sebastian, killing it 100% of the time!
What's the problem?
That was a good joke!
I say “Heat” he sold that role on screen entirely too well. Demeanor, talk, walk, cool, calm, collected, professional.
Midnight run and king of comedy are heroic!!
This comment section shows how underrated Awakenings is from his stellar filmography.
His best performance. I was 10 years old, I could not believe it was an actor. I thought it was a real person... Has been by #1 actor since. He's amazing!
It’s so strange to me that he’s aged so much since Heat but I remember he was 55 when they filmed that. What a legend
He was so amazing in Scarface.
Lol good one 😂
I love a corny joke
@Master.Debater if you like corny jokes , check out Tommy Lee Jones in "Cobb"
I'll wait.
@@silveredgrunion7196complete fiction but GREAT acting nonetheless.
