Thanks, Lisa, so much for reviewing the Juki F-600. I really appreciate and respect your opinion. I have a Brother se400 right now and want to upgrade to the F-600 real soon. You have helped me so much with different projects from my first tshirt quilt to a fleece lined panel blanket. I couldn't have finished either project without your advise and sweet, loving voice giving me the confidence I needed to succeed. I was flattered to have my name mentioned on your video as well as written in print. You are so sweet. Thanks again for everything. Will be listening for years to come. Hugs, Kathryn
It has made my day knowing that my videos have been so helpful for you! It can be intimidating learning something new, I am so proud that you've made your very first t-shirt quilt :) Many hugs sent your way!
I love the fact that you actually read and respond to questions that come up. VERY important. A lot of people don't. Love the review. Just ordered one. I have learned a lot, but I'm still a beginner. I appreciate the honesty.
thank you so much Morris! I like to respond the best I can to comments and questions.....although truthfully it may take me a day or two to get back hahahaa. I am still loving this machine!! I am so glad I upgraded to this.
Hi Lisa! I just found you on YT! I have had my Juki HZL F600 for about a month now. I have only used it to sew together a table runner and am now ready to quilt. I have been a hand quilter for life, but have not done any for about 15 years now. Hence, I purchased this machine for machine quilting to put out faster production. I, like you and another of your viewers, feel I am being called to something in this journey from ABBA, so here we go. I donated my last machine (BabyLock sewing/embroidery machine) to the Boys and Girls club, as they have just started a new chapter there teaching their boys and girls how to sew! Such a beautiful thing! I am no seamstress for certain. I love putting together quilts, table runners, lap covers, Japanese yarn bags, etc. I tried sewing clothing in 1973 (Home Ec class) and failed miserably. HAHAHA. I am eager to get started on the quilting aspect with my new JEWEL! Praying He gives me beautiful skills in this journey. Blessings to you and Maranatha!! Sharri
Loved the video. I just bought this machine, but haven’t received it yet. I haven’t seen in over 15 years. I’m really excited to start again with some fancy new equipment. Thanks for posting!
I, too, purchased my F600 on December 1, 2018 and I love it so much! It's by far the best purchase I've made in a very long time. I never dreamed that I would love sewing as much as I do on this machine! When I was researching machines, I had a list of things that I wanted and this one had more things than I needed, but thought at least it would give me something new to try. I've used so many of those 'extras'! I can't recommend it enough!!
I feel the same way Janice! And to be honest......all of those "extras" that helped me make the decisions......I thought would have drove the price point on this machine up.....so I was really pleased with the cost!
thank you. I've had my F600 machine for a while and ran across this video. I do garments and it's funny how we forget some of the things it can do. Love the video. One day I want to start quilting. 😊😊
Gypsy's Mom, do you still use this machine and is it your main sewing machine? I have seen some bad reviews so I wanted to ask this of someone who has used it for a while. Thanks
Hi Lisa! Enjoyed your video. I just purchased this Juki. Excited to receive it and get sewing. Enjoying the Medallion Quilt Along. First time doing applique. Thank you so much.
Great video. Recently purchased this machine and although still learning, love the F600. Will continue to watch your videos, great explanation on so many things. Thank you!
I just bought one as I was watching this video. I didn't realize she posted this 4 years ago. I'm glad to see you purchased more recent. I hope Its as good as she say...I guess you're happy with your Purchase as well!
This was a great review of this machine. Better than most reviews, thank you for taking your time to explain everything . I'm going to look at the other models also. Which I diden't know they existed so thank you for that
Thank you for your review of this machine! After reviewing other machines (top machines for 2020), I have settled on this one and can't wait to get one! Since being introduced to you (via this video), I've joined the Creative Crew (and I'm not a fan of FB or social media!) and watched the Jennifer Allwood video you referred us to. I feel God is preparing me for "something" and has directed me here to you all! Thank you again for your encouragement!
It is so great to hear from you Mari-ann!! I so appreciate you following me along in this journey. I absolutely LOVE this machine, and it's the machine I've been using in all of my newer videos on my channel for some time now. I totally understand your feeling of being prepared for "something" and so get ready my friend, God is so GOOD.
Great demonstration, Lisa. Sooooooo . . . , Cary Grant was a favorite actor of mine and the minute you said you hadn't yet named your machine, I immediately thought "Judy, Judy, Juki" LOL . . . just a thought. Have a blessed day and thank you for ALL you do for your devoted fans.
What a great review. I have certain criteria, too, for a machine: needle down, bright light, auto-cutter, detachable piece to sew cuffs, etc, and adjustable presser foot weight. This looks like a great machine.
That's cool you mentioned crafty gemini's channel. I literally just mentioned to my friend about her sewing through 8 layers of denim. Last night i ordered an f400 to replace my singer heavy duty. I already have a juki serger so i know there's quality there. I'm not a quilter but i do like all the options that eliminate some of the annoyances of my first machine. I often break needles on semi thick seams and have knocked it out of timing. (easy to fix though) after seeing her do the denim test i was sold
@@TheQuiltmakerHomestead I think I got mine in about 4 days. I have a couple of other machines from them also. Did you know there was a thread cutter just to the left of the bobbin Winder? I use it all the time when feeling several bobbins. It's a great machine
@@TheQuiltmakerHomestead I just ordered the F600 today from Sewing Machine Plus also, so the countdown to it being delivered begins...Do you still use your sewing machine and how are you liking it?
@@thywordistruth3546 the Crafty Gemini review said the needle must be in the top position for it to work and there’s a position on the wheel for it. I hope that helps.
Hi Lisa. I have a suggestion for you, plug in your machine in the surge adapter this protect your machine for the low and high voltage irregulations. My first machine I connected directly on the wall and with the irregulation of the energy my machine was burned. I hope you understand my English. Sorry.
aweeeee, I understand your English just fine :) Yep, the plug you see in the video is the surge protector and my cell phone hehehe. When I bought my longarm, the dealer told me the importance of the protector, so I made sure to get one for all of my machines after that. I'm so sorry to hear what happened to your machine, that makes me sad :(
I've been having my eye on this machine for quite some time. I read some not very nice reviews about it and the customer service of some of the companies that offer them, and I held back. Your review has renewed my desire to own one and encouraged me to purchase it. A review this good gave me the last push I needed. I heard good comments about the company that you purchased your machine from, and I will buy from them. I'll make sure to mention your review when I go there. (I live a short drivable distance from them). Enjoy your machine. You sound very happy with it. I even smiled a couple of times while watching your review. 😁
I have to say........I may be a little biased hehehee.....but I LOVEEEE this machine. The extra throat space is awesome.....I love that I can easily lower the feeddogs to do FMQ......I love all of the extra stitches included....I really love the large table that comes with the machine.....honestly, I thought I'd really love the knee lift that it comes with.....but I hardly ever use it.
I've purchased two machines from them now......and I've had WONDERFUL experiences so far with them.....and I save a bit of money too. I don't know them personally, but I love that you live close to them and can go in person! I've always had my machines shipped from them...which I was worried about the shipping part...and damage....but nope....they were perfect. Just my experience :)
I have also had my Juki for a little over a year. The more I use her the more I love her! I also turned the thread cutter on the foot pedal off for the exact reason and I doubt I’ll ever turn it back on. I learned something new from your review that I’m thrilled about and that is use the #2 for the 1/4 seam, didn’t know and was a little curious about the difference was between the #1 and #2 option! You never stop learning😁👍🏼
It's a great machine, and I'm loving all of the upgrades of this machine from my last, and the extra bit of throat space is perfect! Thanks for watching!
Love this machine. I have done about 9 quilts and toddler clothes. I am going to get it cleaned and adjusted. The button hole foot is great , they turn out wonderful. I bought a ruler foot. I love to quilt with it.
Thank you for your detailed review of this amazing sewing machine. I thought it was a "class act" for you to mention the CraftyGemini's tutorial review of this machine and suggesting your viewers watch it in case anything was left out. Again, class act. Between the both of yours & CraftyGemini's videos, (there were/are similarities, but also two different perspectives- both valuable), I purchased this machine today. 😀 * As impressive as I initially thought the pedal thread cutter was, I was concerned about cutting the thread accidentally until learning here that I can turn that feature off. So thank you again.
Oh my glory, I think you are going to LOVE this machine. I use mine daily and each day it performs wonderfully! Yep, turn off that thread cutter, I was glad I did that.....and then raise the table in the front just just smidgen. Ive found after sometime using the machine, there is a small lip on the throat plate that catches seams from time to time. Raising the front of the table helps a lot.
I am ashamed to say mine is 3 and a half years old!!! I bought it in Feb 2016 - a gift of my husband as I was going into hospital for a knee replacement...ever since I keep using my old faithful which is now about 45 years old! Anyway, I am 60 next week, so I have set myself the task of getting to use it. It really is a lovely machine isn't it? Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much Susie! That's so awesome that you love your machine, that seems to be the opinion of everyone I've talked to that has it....just another confirmation that I made an awesome choice hehehe, have a great day!
Hi Lisa, I have had my machine for 9 years and I love it, I did alterations for 20 years, and it does take a little adjustment with a new machine, I still have trouble with my button holes, have to get the book out each time!!! but as for sewing just love it, great area with lighting, you have made a great choice!, I have even learnt something from you with the 1/4 seam button!!! TFS, Cheers Anna.
I'm so glad I was able to pass along a tip that was useful! I am LOVINGGG this machine. I haven't yet had a chance to make button holes yet, it may take me a lot of practice hahahaa. Thanks for watching my video!
Great review Lisa! Thank you. I follow the crafty Gemini and saw her review of this machine which totally sold me. Just got mine the other day and am setting it up this weekend. Happy sewing!
I’m excited to know you love your new machine! It makes sewing even more enjoyable. I just got my machine back from spending 2 weeks at the spa getting tuned up cleaned etc. lol!
It really does Sandy :) You know.....and this may sound terrible hahaaa.....I've never sent off any of my machines for spa treatments hahahaa. Maybe because I didn't have a reliable spare to use in the meantime??? I know you'll be happy as a clam when you get it back :)
I take mine in for regular maintenance but this time she had a few problems that needed attention. The more whistle and bells the more crabby they can be. Now she purrs and I’m happy again. I have several backup machines but this one is my favorite. Tried sewing on one of the others and decided to wait to get Aria back. Lol
@@sandyrichmond2570 I don't have a wonderful machine like that but I sent my machine to get maintenance and the guy went out of business and I had no way to get my machine back. That person had been in business for over 20 years in the same location so that was such a shock. I never thought that could happen. I will never feel safe taking my machine or anything else if they can't fix it while I wait.
Sonia Guzman Wow how awful! Unfortunately most places that I’m aware of will keep a machine 1-2 weeks for routine maintenance maybe longer if parts are needed. I always get a receipt when I drop mine off at a shop. Don’t know if it would help in a situation like yours but at least I’d have proof I left it there. First I’ve ever heard of a situation like yours. So sorry that happened to you.
I agree with Ivette Ramos' comment. Get your computerized equipment on surge suppressors/protected power supplies! I thought my rec room was safe, but my sensitive computerized sewing machine got fried one day after months of using it in the same spot. No storm, no construction, nothing. Just one day it got fried. And a few thousand dollars down the drain. The replacement motherboard that got fried was almost as expensive as a new machine, so I gave it to a friend to use it for spare parts.
Hi Lisa ~ Lovely machine! I was quite impressed when at the end when you sewed on that strip of fabric. You were not guiding it and the fabric fed through straight without you having to guide it! A name ~ how about Jewel or Jool or Jule? When I read your descriptor comment and saw HZL, I automatically thought - Hazel. Have fun!
It really does feed the fabric through pretty straight without a lot of effort of keeping everything lined up. My Singer has a tendency to pull the fabric to the left as it sews and so I would have to pay attention to that. I like all of those names, they are cute!
Hello! I enjoyed your review of this Juki machine. Thanks for taking the time to show us all the features! I have 2 questions: ~What is the HEIGHT of the throat area? ~Can 2 spools of thread be used in this machine at the same time? Thanks much!
Yes i believe one of the accessories is a double needle. There is a second detachable spool rod. Oh also you can use the bobbin threader same time as sewing since threader doesn't use foot control. Oh and throat height is 4.4"
My Bernette Serger (early 90's) is still going strong. I also have a Juki Coverstitch. My sewing machines are Bernina 910 and a new Bernina B530 (I think I got that from Sewing Machines Plus too...when the model was closing out). The trouble is that I have only 7.5" of throat space. I will never be a good enough quilter to justify getting a long arm or an expensive sit down machine, so I started looking at domestics with more throat space. I bought a used Juki Kirei which has 12 inches of space. I feel like I've died and gone to heaven. Still getting used to it. It is feature rich to be sure. I am having to get used to the "big honking profile" of the throat plate. They should engineer that better, because it is very noticeable when you are feeding a quilt, even with a glide. But the thread cutter and even feed on that machine is a joy. And I don't care even I straight lined every quilt that I make until the day that I die. But I'm trying to get used to FMQ on this machine (having gotten used to the BSR non the Bernina). You have to pay thousands more to get the same features in some of the other machines. It did not feel like it had the same build quality as the newer coverstitch, though. But I'm happy with my good value and IMMENSE features.
Great tutorials! Thank you and this helped me a lot as I do have this machine haven’t used it yet for quilting after your review certainly I’m going to try yaaayy thx
It was fun to see someone else’s perspective on the same machine. I haven’t found many true cons either. The thing that pesters me though is that there is a lip where the bobbin area starts. My seams aren’t always going in the same direction so several seams would get flipped. I fixed it by adding a piece of painters tape. No the fabric and seams just glide right through. I turned off the foot pedal cutter too. I plan on turning It back on when I’m sewing scraps to the calculator tape. I think the cutter and the knee lift will make that type of scrap sewing a bit quicker and easier. I don’t usually name anything. I tend to just call It My Juki. My last machine was a Brother and It didn’t work to call It my Brother 😉. I like the name Juki. 🤷♀️
I have the same issue with the 'lip' and fixed it as you did, with painter's tape. I was eyeing the video to see if her machine had the same thing, but it was hard to tell. I have no other con though! It's a great machine!
Janice Britt I was looking too. 😉 It looks raised on Lisa’s machine too. My Brother machine was flat in that area. Not a big problem. I love the power and weight of this machine.
you are absolutely right! It does have that lip.........and it has caught and flipped some of my seams. I KNEW I WOULD FORGET some things hahahahaa......the painters tape sounds like a great solution, I'm so glad you mentioned it!
Are you able to do an update review on the machine? I love my Juki TL2010 and would like a small machine for buttonholes. If not, do you still recommend it?
Was your machine delivered super fast like mine?? I couldn't believe how fast I got it! For sure, the trimmer on the foot pedal is something that will take some getting used to.
Hello Lisa I'm rewatching this video that you provided and on the button you pushed to sew 1/4" inch seam automatically. I saw the numbers 1 2 3 My question is the number 3 on that button is it a stitch selector to sew an automatic 3/8" of an inch seam? I really hope so if you could let me know that would be great
I have been researching machines and I loved your review. I almost ordered the Babylock Brilliant which I’m sure is a great machine but I keep hesitating. When I saw your interview I really loved this machine. The next day my machine broke and I ordered this one from amazon. Got it yesterday and its everything I could ever hope for. Not only that but its beautiful too! I’m looking forward to watching more of your videos. Now I’m in the market for a serger. Is there any you recommend? Thank you for such a great review.
I hope you love your machine as much as I love mine! I am super impressed by it's performance, and it does more then I actually need :) I have not yet gotten a serger, so I'm not very helpful there, sorry :(
I know this comment is 3yo but i also was looking at the babylock brilliant but kept hearing it was picky on what thread would work and could be frustrating to thread. So then i saw crafty gemini do a video on the juki F series and i was sold on seeing her sew through 8 layers of denim with no needle breakage. My singer breaks needles at a basic denim seam!! So i ordered the f400 since i don't quilt. As for serger you probably already purchased one but i have a juki serger to which ive had over a year and wouldn't suggest any other. Japanese make quality stuff. How are you liking yours?
What a wonderful review of your machine. I currently have a Baby Lock Ellure Plus which I love for normal sewing. However it does not have enough harp space for quilting. In your opinion would the Juki have sufficient harp space to quilt a queen size quilt with a medium/high loft batting? Thank you!!
Let's see.......I'm thinking I could quilt a queen size quilt with this although the high loft batting would add a bit of a struggle, for me anyways. I think it's all in what you are used to and so we are all different.
Lisa thank you for this great review. I'm wondering if this machine has a place on the back of the machine. Two holes where a thread holder juki, for cone thread can be attached and used. Rather than a thread stand for cone thread ? I saw on Amazon where you can purchase this holder for juki HZL DX models ? I think ?
@@TheQuiltmakerHomestead I really think it's for a juki thread holder. that can be screwed in on the back. I saw it on Amazon. I would check it out, cone thread can fit on it. Or let's hope it does. When I saw this thread holder on Amazon. I was not sure about which machine it would fit. I hope it fits yours. 😁
I love this machine too bought it because of all the features and feet . I have been using the move the needle feature for 1/4 “ quilting - you just showed me a better way thank you ! My issue is thread bunching at the start of any project - I have tried retreading , new bobbin , tension adjusting but it still happens and has since the first day of use - my solution is to use a starter piece then cut it off but it is a pain - any suggestions would be appreciated?
My first thought is to check the size of the needle you are using vs. the material you are sewing with. If the needle is large sometimes it has a tendency to pull the fabric down into the throat plate. For me, I've always sewn with leaders and enders and I've carried that into this machine as well, so I haven't noticed the issue you are mentioning. Check your needle and see????
I have the same problem. I don’t use the thread cutter. Pull the piece back and clip the thread at the piece end. Then hold on to the thread when beginning the next sewing.
Hi Sherry, not so much. I mainly use AK Trading Thread or YLI for piecing and quilting with it, however I've also used tons of embroidery thread and no issues.
Hi Sherry, not so much. I mainly use AK Trading Thread or YLI for piecing and quilting with it, however I've also used tons of embroidery thread and no issues.
I like your new sewing machine , so happy for you Lise. You deserve it ! If i ever get a new sewing machine i think it would be a Judi . So many on RUclips have them. What kind was your old one or the one you was using?
My other machine is a Singer Patchwork, I bought it at Joann's. It's a great machine as well, and I've made countless quilts on her without any issues :)
Hey Lisa Great review 🤩🥰 thinking of buying me the Juki but the F300 the F600 is too steep for my pocket but she is a beauty question by any chance does it have a port for a USB?
Hi Lisa, I was just wondering if you could use your Juki also as an longarm machine. I have seen that some have that feature but didn't know if this one did.
What is the largest size quilt you have completed on this machine? Do you think it would work for king size? I want to be able to fully complete my own quilts and am looking for a reasonably priced machine to do so. Thank you!
Hi. Thanks for the video. I have the same machine and I love it. Can you please show how to sew t-shirt fabrics on this machine? I’m very unsure of sewing t-shirt fabric and so haven’t yet tried. Thanks
Hello :) when working with t-shirt material I always have an interfacing fused to the backside as I make quilts. I have several videos on my channel that shows the process if you wanna check that out :)
Just purchased this machine. I think I'm going to love it. I do have a question. The machine came with a second horizontal spool holder. Do you know if anyone makes a vertical holder that would fit the (looks to be a 3/8") hole on top of the machine?
Good question!!!! I am not sure..........I got a separate thread spool holder that sits behind the machine for large spools....I got mine from Joann Fabrics :)
Hello Lisa, I am on the process of making T-shirt comforter for my daughter. Love your video’s! I have an old singer and wanted to get a new sewing machine .
@lisa capen quilts I liked your review. I also watched the one on the Crafty Gemini channel. I went to Amazon to check out the reviews and there were a few bad reviews, like always on any product. I wanted to check with you now that you have had your machine for a couple of yrs, are you still happy with it? Is it your main sewing machine? Thanks
Other machines recommend 60 wt thread in the bobbin. Does it matter on this machine? I use 50 wt on top and 60 wt in the bobbin for my brother PQ1500 🤷♀️
Hellllooooo :) You know...I am not sure. Maybe if you go to the website you can see if they do. If you google "sewingmachinesplus" their website should come up.
hello great video please kindly film how to operate the juki sewing machine electric foot pedal and how to use the start stop button please ok ? thank you very much.
My Singer Patchwork has a automatic threader......and I noticed that if the needle isn't all the way in the up position, it won't thread the needle. Maybe check that :) Also, I'm thinking there may be a specific video about your machine and how to do it??? Maybe :) My machine has a speed dial so that you can adjust the speed
Hi I am really confused I was interested in K85 juki but some reviews made me upset... Now after watching ur vedio I am thinking of this machine.. Please suggest me dear.. M waiting
I have the HZL 600 JUKI and cannot figure out how to program the memory. I end up resetting my stitch options again and again. For instance, i often use the zigzag function at 7 mm wide and stitch length of .07. I have to reset continually. Can you give me a hint on how to program memory for that stitch combination?
Hi Bonnie! I wish I could be more helpful with this....however I have not used the memory function on this machine at all........maybe I'll look into experimenting with it.
I have tried sewing a very thick material and the tension is out. I now have to use the tension on +3 to sew a proper stitch. I need to know how to get it back to the auto setting. Please help!
Hi Jenelle! I really wish I could help you more with this, however I've never used the Juki DX 7. My best advice is to see about joining a Juki Facebook group and post this question there. I'm sure you'll get lots of great advice in a group with Juki members, some who probably have used both machines :)
Looking for a machine to replace my 39 year old Kenmore. It is still a workhorse for heavy duty fabrics but it is starting to have some issues which even a spa visit didn't seem to help. I like that this has a free arm like my Kenmore. I have two brother sewing/embroidery machines but they just are not the same as older all metal machines.
They certainly don't make them like they used to.....the older metal machines were built to WORK that's for sure! So far I am very pleased with this machine :)
Thanks, I just got my new Juki and it’s in the box for Christmas! It’s going to be a long wait! Hahaha! I thought I’d start gathering supplies to work on quilt projects after I figure it out.
Good question Pamela, I've looked through the manual and don't see where that is an option, however I could just be overlooking it. I'll have to investigate further hehehe :)
Hello! I have a question about your thread cone/holder. Did that come with the machine? I have this machine and I’m interested in using a thread cone and I actually came on RUclips today trying to see if a cone can be used on the machine!
I thinking to buy juki portable machine but now i get confused between f600 or dx7. I was thinking that auto foot lift on dx7 is not big deal because the f600 have knee lifter like dx7 too. But what do u think? Really need your opinion before burn my money, currently i using industry machine but i want something portables
I wish I had some experience with the dx7 to give you a more balanced review however I've never worked with one. I do really love using the knee lift however it's taking some time to get used to it, or really remembering to use it as I've never had one before and my hands automatically reach for the leaver to raise the presser foot hahahaa. I suggest checking out all the videos you can find on both machines and maybe making a list of pros and cons for each....that may help you make the best choice???
I just purchased this machine. I want to sew a button on a pair of shorts (not make a button hole). Does this machine have that ability? Would appreciated being pointed in the right direction. Have not been able to locate any videos about how to do this.
hahaha, I though surely the manual would give instructions......so I just checked and NOPE.....none! How did they leave that out?? Hopefully you find some help online somewhere. Wish I could help more but I haven't had any buttons to sew on yet to figure it out :)
I hope you get some awesome and useful feedback to help make an informed choice. Unfortunately I can only give advice on the Juki as I've never used the Eversewn Sparrow.
Lisa Capen Quilts I did Lisa and I thank you! The F600 was my dream machine but to save a couple bucks, I was going to order the F400. You’re video was the clincher! When I got to the store, though, for just a tad more, I was offered the HZL-1500qvp, which is a very similar machine with all the bells and whistles. (It offered more warranty support at the local level, and I adore my community, so that weighed into my decision, as well.) It’s paid for and I’ll be picking it up Monday! That’s for help in this! As a new subscriber, I’ll be looking for your vids for more help, tips and hints!
Hi Sonia :) The price point on this machine has fallen quite a bit since it was first released. I happened to catch mine on sale which was really awesome, but also because I use my machine in my business it helped justify the purchase. I'd keep an eye out on all the sites and see if the price comes down as new machines are released :)

I have the same machine and I absolutely love it. Congratulations on your new machine.
thank you so much :) I am really loving it too!
Thank you!
Welcome aboard!
Which I diden't know they existed so thank you for that
So glad this review was helpful for you Marion!
Have a blessed day and thank you for ALL you do for your devoted fans.
hahahahhaaa, that's so cute :) And you are so welcome, I like sharing the info when I can :)
What a great review. I have certain criteria, too, for a machine: needle down, bright light, auto-cutter, detachable piece to sew cuffs, etc, and adjustable presser foot weight. This looks like a great machine.
I love my F600. This machine sold me on Juki. I end up purchasing a Juki Serger, MO623. I love them both. Thanks for the tips.
I really love mine too :)
I love that machine. I got mine a little over a year ago from Sewing Machines Plus.
Was you machine delivered as fast as mine was??? I was super impressed!
I also bought one from Sewing Machines Plus. Love this machine (mine is the F-400). My automatic threader only worked. Two or three times, though.
I'm so sorry to hear what happened to your machine, that makes me sad :(
Thanks I will but it would have to come down to less than half of that price for me to be able to afford it.
@@soniaguzman762 check out the Juki F300 Is a little less than the F600
Thank you for the great coverage of this machine…
I have this machine too and am absolutely loving it!
It's a great machine, and I'm loving all of the upgrades of this machine from my last, and the extra bit of throat space is perfect! Thanks for watching!
Super review. I bought this one also and I’m very happy. 🤗🤗
Love this machine. I have done about 9 quilts and toddler clothes. I am going to get it cleaned and adjusted. The button hole foot is great , they turn out wonderful. I bought a ruler foot. I love to quilt with it.
ohhhhh......I'm going to have to investigate the ruler foot! When you say "adjusted".....have you noticed any issues?
What is a ruler foot?
Thank you for your detailed review of this amazing sewing machine.
I thought it was a "class act" for you to mention the CraftyGemini's tutorial review of this machine and suggesting your viewers watch it in case anything was left out. Again, class act.
Between the both of yours & CraftyGemini's videos, (there were/are similarities, but also two different perspectives- both valuable), I purchased this machine today. 😀
* As impressive as I initially thought the pedal thread cutter was, I was concerned about cutting the thread accidentally until learning here that I can turn that feature off.
Thanks for sharing.
aweeee, you have the sweetest husband!!! I'm so glad you are going to branch out and give it a go with your Juki! Keep me updated :)
I have this one as well as an MO-1000 serger, and I love love love them! I also highly recommend both of these machines!
I've never used a serger before.....something to look forward to in the future maybe :)
You did an awesome job Lisa. Thank you. I have one and love it. Love your haircut!
That is so exciting! She did a GREAT review of this machine, I am lovingggg mine so much :)
@@TheQuiltmakerHomestead Me too!
So sorry that happened to you.
congratulations on your new sewing machine! enjoy!!!!
Thank you so much Becky :)
The replacement motherboard that got fried was almost as expensive as a new machine, so I gave it to a friend to use it for spare parts.
ohhh Bonnie, that is so disappointing :( Yeppers, the plug you see in the video is the surge protector and my cell phone hehehee.
I have 2 questions:
~What is the HEIGHT of the throat area?
~Can 2 spools of thread be used in this machine at the same time? Thanks much!
Yes i believe one of the accessories is a double needle. There is a second detachable spool rod. Oh also you can use the bobbin threader same time as sewing since threader doesn't use foot control.
Oh and throat height is 4.4"
I love your Juki machine Lisa ! enjoy it
thank you so much!
Congratulations! Happy sewing on the new machine.
thank you Linda :) And thanks for watching !
Great tutorials! Thank you and this helped me a lot as I do have this machine haven’t used it yet for quilting after your review certainly I’m going to try yaaayy thx
thank you so much Cecil!
Just bought hope you still like looks looks a great got it do to auto cut
I am in love with this machine ♡
Video just started and I already like it.
Hi Lisa those guides are great for rag quilts
You are so right Linda! It's been a long time since I made one that I had forgotten how useful they were :) Maybe it's time to make another hehehee
Lisa Capen Quilts It is an amazing machine so I was surprised that they missed this little thing. Quilters know how to adapt 😉
Are you able to do an update review on the machine? I love my Juki TL2010 and would like a small machine for buttonholes. If not, do you still recommend it?
I bought mine from the same place you did. I turned the thread cutter off on the foot peddle.
Was your machine delivered super fast like mine?? I couldn't believe how fast I got it! For sure, the trimmer on the foot pedal is something that will take some getting used to.
@@TheQuiltmakerHomestead I absolutely love the thread cutter!
I bought mine some years ago, my only gripe would be the lack of a quilting bar for the even feed / walking foot.
Hello Lisa I'm rewatching this video that you provided and on the button you pushed to sew 1/4" inch seam automatically. I saw the numbers 1 2 3 My question is the number 3 on that button is it a stitch selector to sew an automatic 3/8" of an inch seam? I really hope so if you could let me know that would be great
The 123 button is used to program the decorative stitches in the machine. I am not aware of a pre-programmed 3/8" seam allowance, only the 1/4" :)
Thank you so much for the review. I am curious how you now feel about the machine having it for 3 years now?
Hi Natalie, I LOVEEEEE my machine. I use it every week during my live videos :)
@@TheQuiltmakerHomestead I am so happy to hear this, I have ordered this machine and it should arrive today. BTW I like your videos, easy to follow .
@@nataliewyant348 woah, that is so exciting, I think you are going to love it!
I think ?
I do see two holes back there, however to be very honest I can not say what they are for lol.
Start with needle down.
Old comment i know but thinking hand wheel turn first few stitches. Ty
Hi Lisa lovely tutorial. I'm wondering if this machine is fussy about thread?
Hi Sherry, not so much. I mainly use AK Trading Thread or YLI for piecing and quilting with it, however I've also used tons of embroidery thread and no issues.

Hey Lisa Great review 🤩🥰 thinking of buying me the Juki but the F300 the F600 is too steep for my pocket but she is a beauty question by any chance does it have a port for a USB?
Nope, no usb port ♡
Hello Lisa, what store did you mention we should check out for comparison?
I bought mine at Sewing Machines Plus online :) You may have a sewnvac place near you that carries them???
Hi Lisa, I was just wondering if you could use your Juki also as an longarm machine. I have seen that some have that feature but didn't know if this one did.

Other machines recommend 60 wt thread in the bobbin. Does it matter on this machine? I use 50 wt on top and 60 wt in the bobbin for my brother PQ1500 🤷♀️
I usually use a 40 wt thread in both top and bottom.......you could certainly do the 50 on top and the 60 in bobbin in this machine as well

Hi Frank, I put that on my video "to-do" list. To be honest, I never use the start/stop button, so that will take some practice :)
Hey Lisa! Where did you purchase this sewing machine?
I have a singer embroidery machine and it has an automatic threader and I can't figure out how to use it. Does it have 3 speeds on it?
My Singer Patchwork has a automatic threader......and I noticed that if the needle isn't all the way in the up position, it won't thread the needle. Maybe check that :) Also, I'm thinking there may be a specific video about your machine and how to do it??? Maybe :) My machine has a speed dial so that you can adjust the speed
It has 7 speeds, 90 to 900 stitches per minute.
Hello. I'm wondering if you have had any issues develop after using it for some time.

Hi Bonnie! I wish I could be more helpful with this....however I have not used the memory function on this machine at all........maybe I'll look into experimenting with it.
Hi! How are you liking it after a year?
I have tried sewing a very thick material and the tension is out. I now have to use the tension on +3 to sew a proper stitch. I need to know how to get it back to the auto setting. Please help!
Hi Sandra, if you turn the upper dial to auto.....that sets your tension back at the default :)
Hi, how do you compare this toJuki DX 7? I’m debating between the two
Hi Jenelle! I really wish I could help you more with this, however I've never used the Juki DX 7. My best advice is to see about joining a Juki Facebook group and post this question there. I'm sure you'll get lots of great advice in a group with Juki members, some who probably have used both machines :)

Does it come with the straight stitch needle plate ?
no it does not
Is this suitable for newbies?

Looking for a machine to replace my 39 year old Kenmore. It is still a workhorse for heavy duty fabrics but it is starting to have some issues which even a spa visit didn't seem to help. I like that this has a free arm like my Kenmore. I have two brother sewing/embroidery machines but they just are not the same as older all metal machines.
They certainly don't make them like they used to.....the older metal machines were built to WORK that's for sure! So far I am very pleased with this machine :)
How does it do with thick layers?
I like using denim in my quilts, and making t-shirt quilts.....it has handled thickness REALLY WELL
What kind of thread stand do you use?
I got my thread stand from Joann Fabrics.....it's the basic one they carry :)
Thanks, I just got my new Juki and it’s in the box for Christmas! It’s going to be a long wait! Hahaha! I thought I’d start gathering supplies to work on quilt projects after I figure it out.
Is the length left after cutting adjustable?
Good question Pamela, I've looked through the manual and don't see where that is an option, however I could just be overlooking it. I'll have to investigate further hehehe :)
What is the price
This machine is price for Bangladesh please Answer my question.
If you start sewing slowly the thread will not come out of the needle. The thread cutter saves you at least 25% of the thread on a reel 👍
Also, if you remove your fabric from the back of the machine, rather than from the side, that helps a lot, too.
Juki HZL F600 price plz mam
Hello! I have a question about your thread cone/holder. Did that come with the machine? I have this machine and I’m interested in using a thread cone and I actually came on RUclips today trying to see if a cone can be used on the machine!
Hi Hannah! I got the thread come holder at Joann's :) yep, you can use those big cones...YAY!!
Lisa Capen Quilts thanks for replying! I may have a thread cone holder hidden somewhere. 🤪 Does it attach your the machine?
Why didn't you show how to thread the machine?
I just purchased this machine. I want to sew a button on a pair of shorts (not make a button hole). Does this machine have that ability? Would appreciated being pointed in the right direction. Have not been able to locate any videos about how to do this.
hahaha, I though surely the manual would give instructions......so I just checked and NOPE.....none! How did they leave that out?? Hopefully you find some help online somewhere. Wish I could help more but I haven't had any buttons to sew on yet to figure it out :)
Yes it will sew on buttons. Stitch number 23 foot I. Hth
I love my machine too but sometimes I get bird's nest at the beginning of my sewing
hmmm.....that's interesting. Have you tried using leaders and enders?
I’m sitting on the fence between this machine and the Eversewn Sparrow QE. If anyone can offer some advice, let it flow!!
(It offered more warranty support at the local level, and I adore my community, so that weighed into my decision, as well.)
It’s paid for and I’ll be picking it up Monday! That’s for help in this! As a new subscriber, I’ll be looking for your vids for more help, tips and hints!
That machine is $1050. I wish I could afford one!
Size matters……lmao
