Niavaran Palace Complex کاخ نیاوران is a historical complex situated in the northern part of Tehran, Iran.
It consists of several buildings and a museum. The Sahebqraniyeh Palace كاخ صاحبقرانيه, from the time of Naser al-Din Shah of the Qajar dynasty ناصرالدين شاه قاجار, is also inside this complex. The main Niavaran Palace, completed in 1968, was the primary residence of the last Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi محمدرضا شاه پهلوي and the Imperial family until the Iranian Revolution.
The main palace was designed by the Iranian architect Mohsen Foroughi محسن فروغي.

wanderterful filming and helpful comments. just one thing: the title of "Sahib Qaran" is derived from Arabic, meaning the "Owner of Two Centuries." This was a wishful title given to kings, wishing them to live (or rule) for two centuries! This was more commonly given to rulers who had already lived or ruled for a long time. The poet Sa'di makes fun of this by a pointed poem, telling the kings that they die like others, and none lives longer than other people....

Before I was watching this on You Tube, I was watching Britney Spear's "Work Bitch". It's truly amazing not only how women dress and behave in different time periods in history but how women dress and behave in the same time periods in history. Seems like Iranian architecture started off exceptional and truly amazing and gradually ended up as mediocre, whereas European is the opposite. We have the arab/islam influence to thank for our decline ofcourse.
Anywhere Islam goes, there are always issues & decline.

Ghajar sold half of the Iran to Russia, France and England from North to South and build these buildings to live in them. Ghajar ruined Iran and shame on them. These building are the symbols of the shame. What they just left after their death to remind us how they left Iran on fire.

Still repeating the Pahlavi propaganda, eh? Who built these? Who protected Iran against two giant European colonial empires, leaving Iran the largest country in the Middle East? How did the Ottomans fair? How did the Mughal Fair? They lost everything. The Qajars preserved all that there is to in that country, not the Pahlavi (who gave up Bahrain, the Ararart land, The Firuza district of Khurasan.....etc etc)
