In my opinion, Origin of Symmetry is a true masterpiece. For the longest time, the only sings I knew from it were Plug in Baby and Feeling Good which I still love to death but then when I heard Micro Cuts, Citizen Erased, and New Born I was just amazing and completely mind blown. The way Bellamy uses falsettos all throughout the album is incredible and I really love the use of the really strange chords like in Hyper Music and the chorus of Micro Cuts.

I'm not stupid, I know what a guitar sounds like. Not sure if it's a riff that they use a phaser to make it repeat over and over in the background, but I do wish I knew how they made that sound.

i remember being like 12-13 and finding this song with my friend, we would always go out to the train track and listen to it, it was the only songs i listened to for a while
Genuinely gutted that Matt's sorted himself out...This era of "self-expressed" and introspective Muse was easily the most deep and impactful, thematically and musically. For me it instantly resonates on a personal level, and I'm still moved by it 18 years later. Don't get me wrong, still a hugely talented band, but who's going to well up listening to the same "them-vs-us" anthems getting regurgitated over and over - not pointing any fingers: Uprising or Supremacy or Revolt or Resistance or Thought Contagion or...basically the last 5 albums.

I've always listened to this song in bed. It carried me away into the space and I felt I could fly. Once at that time I thought I was dreaming, but somehow I was both in a dream and in reality. I felt like i was flying in open space on my back with the arms open like a star. That feeling was so overwhelming, I cried. I just lied in bed and cried silently. That feeling I had just once in my life and it would never come back... It is a special memory, I can never share it with anyone, because it is hard to explain. But I'm writing it here because perhaps someone can understand me...

Muse has changed genres and is less progressive nowadays, than in the past. However, their music retains quality (though older listeners might dislike their newer material for obvious reasons) and are still better than 99% of the 'music' being made today,

deepflame28 Yep. I'm so disgusted of people who say the 2nd Law was shit. Did anyone even hear Big Freeze or Liquid State? Those are fairly old school-ish. And besides, the entire album was great. So hyped for Drones. Dead Inside is epic and so is Mercy!
Kebabscout Yeah, I know. The album had slight production problems for my taste, but the songs were mostly great. I'm hyped for Drones as well. Absolutely loved Dead inside and reapers. Mercy will probably grow on me like starlight did.
