I like this song, it's not about the video, but it's about the music! I knew this song for a long time by listen to the radio. Clips doesn't matter to me, as long as the music is good, I like this song!
The video completely reflects me and my current boyfriend. I am so comfortable at his house when I wake up and he's gone, making coffee and hanging on the couch checking out his books. I can sit there on the porch and have a beer without being judged and it is such a free feeling. If we get married, this song will definitely play at our wedding
Wife and I had it as our first dance, back in 2012. It's out 10th wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks, so I'm being nostalgic. It is a HARD song to dance too, plus I was pretty drunk. Still, great memories. 😄
It's funny everyone is criticizing this video and the woman. This woman is actually Nathan the front mans wife. The video may not make sense to us but it does to them, which is the best part about it. They make the videos from their perspective of the music not from what they think everyone wants to see.
First of all the girl is not ugly she is pretty, and she represents something real. She is like an everyday real person living a real live. The clip is not wearing a mask of coolness or drama or entertainment. I love the song, and its about the song. If you can really hear the song, you don't need a ADHD clip to fill up your gap. I am sorry for the people who want a flashing clip to fill up their boringness or lack of ... i dont know something. The video fits for me.
Besides the excessive slow motion, I think it relates well to the lyrics (if I'm interpreting it correctly). The lyrics are all about finally get past the awkward stages of dating and embracing the relationship, and it seems like the video shows this because the woman is comfortable being in her partner's home by herself, like it is her own home. She isn't stunned when she wakes up alone, and is at ease when looking around, relaxing, and dancing. Either way - it was made from CWK's perspective of what they have written and shouldn't be bashing it because we don't understand it.
WELL. I like the video. And of course the song is epic. Sorry it's not all flashing lights, half naked girls, smoke and mirrors people. I tihnk it fits the song nicely.
Is a lovehate video, but i rather to love than hate it :) i just heard all the album first, watching the video is complementary and it doesn't affects me. I like the video..not my favorite but at least is real...or what? did you wanted a drama? Watch drama in movies or theather
This song is in my playlist rotation and probably my favorite song of this year-it's really unfortunate the video is so lame... I can usually turn my daughter onto songs I dig especially if the video is cool, however this video would probably have the adverse effect...too bad, I could picture 20 other ways to make this video, all better than this nonsense.
What a shame. This is an amazing song/album yet the videos for them are just plain AWFUL. Mine Is Yours was marketed all wrong. Or maybe people are just stupid, idk. Not many were that enthusiastic about the new CD, even calling it their worst. It's a musical growth that has spawned many great, accessible songs yet its reception is hardly warm. I for one don't get it and bad, snooze inducing videos don't help.
Yeah, it's just some woman messing about doing random stuff. Has nothing to do with the songs content, not that that matters much, but it being in slow motion is also annoying. Shoulda done a video for Sensitive Kid, I like that song way better than this one.

So 13 years later, did everything work out?
I don't know why I love the beat. The chorus part, there's something about jt
Who needs a video when the song is good enough
still one of the most played on my playlist
Just discovered Cold War Kids, love it!

Well then they're mis-using the point of making music videos and are clearly too self-involved to give a shit.
Which isn't surprising because she's painted with hipster cliches.
i found myself liking the video. stunning photography and actress, of course it did help that the song is lovely

this album rules

this remembers me of me getting to a bed and breakfast after hysterical days.
I need to push this song once again!
Great song!
amazing!
Too bad I couldn't get tickets to the show Friday :(
its about someone who,s depressed.that makes the video make sense
oh love this song (:
the rifts are catchy
A better film clip would be just watching the lads rock out!!
Please explain how this video fits the song's meaning, message, etc.
This might have been a hit if it had an acceptable video.
beautiful song, beautiful girl, it can't go slow enough for me :)
@TSBA92 Because it's youtube. not iTunes.
seems they've moved towards a very mainstream sound but I still love his voice and this is great pop-rock ballad.
i loved the video of Audience. but this is borning as hell
Wait isn't that the lead singer of School of Seven Bells (SViiB)?
WELL. I like the video. And of course the song is epic. Sorry it's not all flashing lights, half naked girls, smoke and mirrors people. I tihnk it fits the song nicely.
I thought this was Brandon Flowers when i heard this on the radio, lol
The video sets a mood nicely, and is well done. However, I fail to find a solid connection between the video and the (amazing) song.
can someone explain the so called brilliance of this video. I love the Cold War Kids but this must be some kind of joke
@freelollipops that's why i minimize the window when i start this song :P
Yeah this video is really odd. Good thing the music is so spectacular as seen from the amount of likes even though the video is SOOOOOOO AWKWARD.
Anyone from 2016?
LOL, somebody shops at IKEA!
Why do people care so much about the music video? I thought this was more about the song then anything. Besides, the video isn't even that bad
What are the chords for this song, I really like this song and want to learn it on guitare
Someone who knows please write

Basically, this song is about the average day in the life of a hipster
Superplaat !
This girl makes me think of unemployment
@pokabeb
Please, enlighten us.
Agreed, I don't even like music videos that much. Also, am I the only one that finds excessive slow motion in music videos really frustrating? :S
People don't know much about music these days.
love this song! album is nearly flawless! Thanks for uploading!
Wait, people care about videos? The song sounds familiar, like they used someone's beat.
I'm afraid the video will take away from the song, for some people, unfortunately =/
This song is in my playlist rotation and probably my favorite song of this year-it's really unfortunate the video is so lame...

CWK finally got ass and thats all they can think about... this sounds like Kings of Leon
Following a hipster around for a day isn't art. She's cute but I think that might be the only thing this video has going for it.
Sounds like Taio Cruz isn't so original. (Dynamite?!)
Like this song, but yeah video is lil boring. But I just listening it, I usually don´t watch videos. Song is more omportant.
love the song, but not too crazy about the video :(

Is this video really for this song? It doesn't make any sense.
Ick. This video sucks. I love this song, though. Total injustice.
Yeah, it's just some woman messing about doing random stuff. Has nothing to do with the songs content, not that that matters much, but it being in slow motion is also annoying. Shoulda done a video for Sensitive Kid, I like that song way better than this one.
is it just me or did this album disappoint a little? it feels like theyre trying to be mainstream or something...
the video does not match the song at all!.. Love the song though.
A better film clip would be just watching the lads rock out!!
