Amazing, This was Bambie's Eurovision gift to Zionism, released the day before the eurovision performance. Perfect timing! Surprisingly the EBU didnt stop it being uploaded on the EBU website, surprising with the meaning of the song etc.

Because they could _ah well y'see_ it being about the Troubles rather than the Israel/Hamas conflict.
Though to me, there are parallels between the two conflicts that I can't miss (not least them having to step up security at the first ESC held in Ireland at least if not the ones in the 1990s)

Here Bambie Thug has created the most hauntingly beautiful and incredibly moving cover I have ever experienced. ❤️ They are the most expressive and creative artist I have ever known and this song and video fills me with many different emotions. Being Goth, it brings me tears of happiness and awe as it embodies the sentiments, aesthetics and world views which I ascribe to this way of life, and the subject of the song and the emotional pain expressed bring me tears of sorrow and despair at the atrocities happening in the world even still today. 🖤 Bambie is a brilliantly talented artist and wonderful person who is always speaking out and standing up for what is right, there are so many reasons to love and admire them. 💜

Bambie's "Zombie" took over my life from the first second!⛧ Our beloved witch and their life-changing art entering my life in January was a moment of epiphany and their magic has literally been saving my life in the darkest hours ever since - my heart and my soul being in deepest love with what Bambie creates and stands for is the reason why I will continue to spread their (witch)craft all over the world, way beyond Eurovision and long after the hustle and bustle caused by the contest has calmed down. Even now we can already see that Bambie left a mark on the world - coming 6th at Eurovision, which is Ireland's best result in decades, giving the people a performance they'll keep talking about even in 20 years. And I wouldn't even be surprised if their clear statements against injustice gave Ireland's prime minister Simon Harris the last push to recognize the state of Palestine officially!🇮🇪🧙‍♀️👑🖤✨️🌙
A cover of "Zombie" is the most haunting call for peace an Irish person could ever make ⛧ - and one of a million reasons why Bambie became one of my two favourite artists and a human being I deeply admire.🇮🇪🧙‍♀️👑🖤 I can't even express how grateful I am for the Irish Eurosong 2024 and Eurovision bringing me this dark treasure of an artist and shaking up my life to an extent I would never have believed is possible - but I'm also very thankful for your thoughtful reaction to this mesmerizingly spectral version of a legendary song, Kyle and Alanna. It was a pleasure to see how you actually recognized the foundation of "Zombie" just after Bambie sang a few lines, that already shows the iconic status the song has since the 90s!🥰 But it also touched me on a profound level to see that you really understood the statement Bambie wanted to give by carrying "Zombie" over to 2024, and how we all agree on the insanity of warfare and on the abhorrence of profit made with arms. I won't repeat the reason why Bambie covered this history-making song right before Eurovision, as they have always expressed their stance on Gaza in a very outspoken manner which was the right decision. And on top of that: Bambie and their smashing performance of "Doomsday Blue" came 6th at Eurovision 2024, which is a reason to celebrate ecstastically - Ireland's best result in decades and a theatrical, enchanting performance people will be talking about even in 20 years from now! You two, be prepared - Bambie is definitely in line for further reactions!🕸🇮🇪🧙‍♀️🦇
Being Goth for decades, it's impossible not to burst into tears of endless joy when watching this masterpiece of dark art: I couldn't be represented in a more beautiful, in a more artistic, in a more mesmerizing way!🖤✨️🌙🕯It feels like magic that alternatively minded people like us - souls who are prone to love mysticism, ethereal gloom, spiritual depth and contemplative melancholy - were having a voice singing and speaking for them on the biggest stage of the world! All sorts of generic pop have never touched our hearts, hence we oftentimes stayed away from Eurovision, but this journey together with Bambie was the most wonderful experience I can imagine and this once-in-a-lifetime artist is rendering me speechless over and over again!🖤✨️ I mean, just look at these enchanting aesthetics: This is Trad Goth par excellence, a feast for the eyes, beautifully seductive darkness luring through the screen, shots from another world and clothing I would instantly wear for the rest of my life, and we shall not forget about their make-up which is not only on point but an additional layer of art on top of this immaculate cover!🌙
To release a cover of "Zombie" right before Eurovision was a stroke of genius - not only for an Irish representative and considering that this is THE Irish anthem, but also because we need a voice standing against injustice more than ever before! In sorrowful times like these, where people are being eradicated and the sorrow isn't even seen by many, music can sometimes be the strongest statement to open hearts and eyes. Social criticism has always been something very close to my heart, and I'm insanely proud of Bambie expressing what needs to be addressed and for showing true character and authenticity! And speaking of music, Bambie couldn't have covered this legendary hymn in a more beautiful way: Putting their own stamp on it, filling the melodies with even more darkness and an ethereal ambience, but still paying tribute to the original in the most honouring and respectful way. If you need any more proof for the fact that Ireland and Bambie deserved all the Eurovision hype they got recently, just watch this otherworldly masterpiece as well as their show-stopping Eurovision performance! As we all say: CROWN THE WITCH, because a boundary-breaking, hard-working and transcendentally creative artist like this deserves support and love from all over the world!🇮🇪🧙‍♀️👑🌙✨️🖤

I'm British, I'm so glad Bambie covered this song, it's so pertinent to current times.
In the UK, the first Cranberries song I heard was Linger, not Zombie. For me, as a British person who remembers the Irish Republican spokesman being a more than a couple of men called Actor's Voice whose speech never matched their lip flaps (until I realised that the truth was, the government had banned their voices from being broadcast on British TV and radio, but not their words)
Zombie can't be anything but political for me, the original was such a cry for anger at the IRA, killing children for some Great Cause that no-one but they themselves believe in. It was also a cry of anger at NORAID, the "Irish" Americans who paid for those bombs and sent those guns as well as the British government who sent those tanks into the homeland of The Cranberries (which was Northern Ireland)
Bambie Thug is from the Republic of Ireland and the relationship between our two countries is... friendly and cordial, but the past does hold sway.
The Troubles sill looms large, possibly larger in all of Ireland than Great Britain and especially in Northern Ireland for obvious reasons.
As for Americans, especially "Leftist" Americans, well they're still Zombies, claiming the Good Friday Agreement as their achievement (when it was ours, the British, the Irish and *ALL* of the paramilitaries involved) yet talking about us British as if they secretly wished the GFA never happened.

You guys should definitely view/ review the original Cranberries video its so powerful. Dolores Reardon is so captivating as the gold 'icon" mother figure and herself again in leather jacket cropped bleach blonde hair ripping up the guitar, while the drummer and lead guitarist just go for it BIG TIME!!! Im sure youll be gobsmacked in a good way and find yourself down a Cranberry shaped rabbit hole..
And also please check out more Bambi Thug (" Love Bites " is a beautiful lush gothic ballad💔,)
    Take 😘 care
