My perspective might be odd... I'm here because I discovered Jinjer through a reaction video. I support reactors who react to Jinjer because I want as many people as possible to see them, because I know someone is going to find they unexpectedly love them as much as I did. If you slowly trickle out Jinjer reactions, you'll have got new subscribers in between, so that's new people who can be exposed to Jinjer. If you just binge all their songs and then are done, that's less people getting exposed to their awesomeness in the long term. ;) I'd recommend the official video of Pit Of Consciousness off the same newest album as this one, and an older song of theirs called Outlander - there are a few options here, the official live video is good, but more fans seem to like the Outlander Best Ukranian Metal video which is studio sound though.

So, Eugene and Roman explained why their live concerts will always sound like their studio albums. They are a very technical savvy band. The ear piece each is wearing is attached to a computer and sound board. The entire band pick from a concert that has a similar hall or the studio album. They have about 30 recordings saved and they save each concert they do in case they like it. Vlad (Drums) will have the drum track and metronome set at 100% while the rest of the band set at about 40%. Eugene (Bass) has the Drums and Bass plus a metronome set at 100% while the two guitar tracks are set at 40%. Roman (Lead guitar & Rhythm guitar) has the Rhythm guitar playing at about 80% for the audience on a sound track, He is playing the Lead guitar live, his earpiece has Both guitars at 100% and the rest of the band at about 50%. Tatiania has the only custom earpiece in the band, it is tuned as she likes it. She has her own vocals set to about 100% while the band portion is probably playing at about 60%. This means while they are playing on stage, they will be very consistent. The band feels very strongly about giving a performance that the crowd paid to come see. And it shows in every performance that they do. And on Roman using a sound doubling, he said they have attempted to get a Rhythm guitarist before, and basically cannot find one they like well enough to become part of the family. He also hates solos and will probably never do one.

I agree with your poster (or whatever it is called) for this video that Jinjer is in a "genre of one". Although the few early Jinjer videos I have seen can be classified as mostly metal, the recent Jinjer is genre-defying. As they have also said in similar ways themselves, there is a good bit of hard/heavy stuff and a quite generous amount of progressiveness, but apart from that it is really hard to say anything definitive about classifying their recent music, except that it is truly excellent and impactful in many different ways. Although they can be as heavy as pretty much any metal band when it suits them, "metal" is a way too confining label to encompass most of the music they make.

Great reaction. Takes me half a dozen listens before I get as much as you do in one. The Macro album has some amazing tracks but as a lover of Perennial (from Micro), "lainnereP" (Perennial redux on Macro) hits me hard. Like most Jinjer tracks it's unlike any other Jinjer track - if that makes sense - just moreso. Totally unexpected and awesome. And I support what Jeffrey Fisher said, somewhere in these comments.
You have to listen to judgement and punishment, ah hell the whole macro album. Lyrics on the album were done by Teti and Eugene. They are all very humble people that I had the very much pleasure of meeting!! Come to Wisconsin, USA in May, we will see them together! The concert was the best by far that I have been to in my life by FAR!
Apparantly they are playing Catton pk Bloodstock festival this year!! Your analysis of this group is spot on. They have their own sound and the standard is very high. I suspect there will be more to come from them in the years to come!!

Retrospection music video was recently released. One of my favourites on their new album. Other ones you have to check out: Pit of Consciousness, Judgement and Punishment, I speak astronomy, Ape and Sit Stay Roll over ;) I saw them for the first time live last year in London and without a doubt the best live band I´ve ever seen! I will be seeing them again in just 2 months in NYC and again at Copenhell festival in June. Can´t wait!!
Another band that's better live than in studio is Nightwish...the leader of iron maiden just (in the last week or so) said he believed that Nightwish could be as big as maiden in time...

I would be very interested to see you react to some live Nightwish. They are not as heavy as Jinjer but they are one of the best live bands and no two of their songs sound the same as well. Romanticide or song of myself live from wacken 2013.

Loving the content, you're so pleasant to watch! Just subscribed and you can put my vote down for "Sit, Stay, Roll Over" and "Captain Clock" but definitely the studio version. There's a live performance of that one, but whoever was mixing the levels on it had no idea how to keep up with Jinjer on it. It's a complete mess of a show and just so failed the band, it's disappointing. The studio version is sublime and one of the most well done intense pieces by Jinjer.
If talking about latest albums they do seem to not have a bad track, it's just that the tracks are different. Someone may dislike blast beats, or maybe the polyrhythmic stuff in Home Back throughs off too much. I seem to skip Noah, for some reason. Enjoying this band is partially about how open are you to hearing different stuff

I would say this is one of their more "mainstream" songs, not that Jinjer is mainsream at all (They are Jinjer, and the gerne is Jinjer, simple as that) From the new album I really liked this track, but also check out Pit of Consciosness, Retrospection (starts out in Russian), Judgement & Punichment, Pausing Death, Lainnerep (persnnial backwards, this isn't really a song to make a reaction video to, but you have heard Perennial so check it out) as always great vid keep it up man :)
What's up brother! Another band similar you should check out is Arch Enemy. Alyssa isn't as technical as Tatiana but honestly who is. She still has an amazing voice and excellent growls. The guitarist is top notch. He loves writing power ballads that flippin rock. I have a lot of favorites so i can't narrow down their extensive track list for you. Maybe some others can help with that. Nemesis and War Eternal are both good choices.

Dude, you really should check a band called Oathbreaker, from Belgium. They play a totally different style and with different feelings, but their singer, Caro Tanghe, is incredible too, she makes you feel so much emotions.You could try "10,56/Second Son of R." or "Needles in your skin" from the Audiotree live session, you won't be disappointed ! As a comment says under one of their videos, "she's a wiiiiitch !" :) And to whoever is interested into mixing styles, check out Hacride - Zambra (Chaotic hardcore with flamenco) and Zeal & Ardor (Black metal with soul/gospel/blues). If you want some hard-hitting lyrics check out their song "When Two Empires Collide" It's based on the Ukrainian Civil war which they are refugees from. It talks about what it's like having war tear apart your homeland. Some of the strongest lyrics they've written, imo. Of course, the song itself is fantastic too

@@tribaltalker1608 yes I know and love the original one from Ojos de brujo ! That's why I love too the fact Hacride invited the singer from ODB to sing in the cover of their own song. I think it's a really good way to share music from different horizons ;)

If you want some hard-hitting lyrics check out their song "When Two Empires Collide" It's based on the Ukrainian Civil war which they are refugees from. It talks about what it's like having war tear apart your homeland. Some of the strongest lyrics they've written, imo. Of course, the song itself is fantastic too
