navigation is on the list, but it's not going to replace hands on instruction. more of a general guide to put things in perspective and let you know what you need hands on instruction with.
Your “lean-to” is called the Platform and Brace by SERE cadre. If your fire begins smoking (vs flaming) simply lift one end of the brace and oxygen is drawn in from underneath, ie that new space created by lifting one end of the brace.
Great video and advice. I have been playing with twig stoves but it is a pain to say you are just going to make a fire fore a cup of coffee.. I like the idea of alcohol stove and have all kinds but reproducibility is a pain. Though I'll go back and try my Trangia again. But the default is a cartridge stove. Really like how pragmatic your videos are. Though pjcb are the easiest and cheapest tinder. That tinder is not a renewable but just one you can use conseravatibly. I put road flares in my kids ski packs.
Well done. I enjoyed the pacing and thoroughness of your presentation. And at 68 years old learned more details about fire starting and tending. I agree that links or at least the written name of the products you discuss would be a great help in attaining them. I am already sold on your recon chest pack and look forward to using more of your gear.
Great video yet again Team Hill. Is there any chance you can put links to all the products you mention in your videos?.. or company/product names so we can look them up.
YT will only allow us to do links to our own website, which we try to always put in where relevant. Beyond that, are you talking about text of the products in addition to mentioning them?
HillPeopleGear if the product name or company is simply written in the description I can copy and paste into google. Otherwise I have to rewatch the whole video to catch the info.
Really enjoying the videos! Great work!! Hope you have plans for one on navigation with and without aids and backcountry firearms. All the best. Liam

Uberfire appears to not be sold publicly anymore, any leads on where to restock? Any chance of HPG carrying it?
We don't... mostly we carry fastfire in our personal kits and that's what we sell too.
