What the lady doesn't know is that private universities do not teach courses that are expensive to teach such as Civil Eng., Architecture, medicine. Private universities can therefore make money through other courses. If you want public universities to sustain themselves then be prepared to pay 1M per semester for these courses. How many can afford education abroad. It's expensive. Money can only come from the ex-chequer not student fees.
