Glad to see I’m not the only one who thinks Dan is highly underrated.
Ever since the guest. Idk why that dude isn't a leading man more.
A trailer that intrigues without giving away any of the plot? Awesome.
Intill you watch it. And the trailor showed all the good parts.. cause it sucks
You sure? I had to stop because I figured it all out too quick..fuuuk
It already gives away 99,9% the relevant part of the plot:
if you don't want to see anything that may be SPOILER, don't read it.
1- Cuckoo is the name of a bird that acts like a parasite.
It kills the eggs on the nest of another bird.
It puts its own eggs on the nest of another bird.
It deceives others birds. The birds raise cuckoo while thinking that cuckoos are their natural children.
2- The trailer shows that:
People already knows the main character.
The main character belongs to that place.
3- In conclusion, probably
She is adopted or she has been kidnaped.
Her life is a lie.
That family isn't her real family.
The woman she sees is probably someone related to her real origin.
She is the victim of an experiment or sect.
She may be a supernatural being.
@@DuskSunDawnTo be fair, this is just a theory, and most of it comes from the title.
@@BlackBlast-gp9cf True, but, the probability is high.
That bike scene gives me chills every time, DAMN.
Glad that someone mentioned that. Best part of the trailer 👌
MeToo# That was f#cking awesome! DAMN
Same genuinely creepy.
1:05 because we've all felt exactly that riding home alone in the dark being "chased by evil" so to speak. I've felt the energy behind me 100%.
Dan Stevens is a win straight away. Can't wait looks good
Dan Stevens is criminally underrated.
He sucks

This feels like a really well-written creepypasta. Something that avoids a lot of generics and cliche movie tropes - im sold.
Dan Stevens is like Ryan Gosling but with 2 Facial Expressions 😅
But love him
Sooo one more expression than Gosling?
He's just Ken.
Neon has been stepping up their game over the last decade.
They’re slowly becoming the next A24.
It's true, the German Alps are basically our version of Lovecraft country.
Looks Groovy.
Oooh, lovely Triumph station wagon at the beginning!
Has an invasion of the body snachers feel. It has potential.
This looks like the first horror movie in a while I’d like to see.
I HAVE TO WATCH THAT !!!! When is the german release ?
Giving away too much again. Directors should just cut their own trailers and not let marketing departments anywhere near their work
How much did they give away considering most the comments are still unaware of the intended plot, personally I think this was a decent trailer that kept us guessing 🤷🏾♂️
How come all of a sudden everybody complaining about giving away too much?
It's not a requirement for putting out a trailer. Even on book covers there is a summary.
Not all customers don't want to knw what their package entails.
Ever seen Trailers from the 30s to 70s?
I’d be inclined to agree, but for that what it seemed to give away are yet more of the expected, typical plot arcs…
Ok ebert!
Totally digging this
Great teaser.
Every role is played in motion capture by Sean Gunn. Brilliant.
Looks interesting 🤔
Idk if I’m gonna ride my bike with headphones on again
You really shouldn't be doing that in any case. Makes you a lot more vulnerable to being nailed by a car.
Looks dope.
Yup. I'm in!
0:34 that arpeggiator! 💪
Never drink and drive. 11 thousand or more are killed each year...could you be next? Stay safe.
Wtf
The fuck?
Put the beer down while I was driving and watching this trailer just to say, hell yeah.
Go to sleep 👍
wtf dose that have to do with this trailer ?
Have to admit = it's interesting.
I am getting subtle clues about what the film is about, but I hope I am led astray.
Love the look of this
This looks really good. Seems to take some inspiration from The Grudge
How on earth did you make that connection?
More like It Follows
More like psycho meets hereditary
I see some inspiration from Mimic. It looks like some creature is pretending to be a human and only kinda sorta looks like one so long as you don't look too closely at it.
Looks pretty dope
When???
What a cool trailer! You dont see that often.
Now I'm even more intrigued
Definitely watching it
This reminds me of Tourista a little, but I will definitely give this a watch.
Wow looks off the wall! Yep Dan Stevens, you know it's gonna be engaging the whole way through, met the guy last year at a local cafe. Very kind polite dude, great to see him flourish with another really interesting character by the looks out it!
This one looks like it Might not disappoint. I guess I’ll find out ‘cuz I’m Definitely watching this!
Looks awesome but also I have my doubts if they're showing most of the awesome jumpscares in the trailer, yeah?
Okay, so this looks amazing.
Oh, this one looks good!
Didn’t know Wes Anderson had a new horror movie out.
looks very good
The last horror movie that genuinely scared me was The Exorcist, and that was 50 years ago. Still, hope springs eternal.
Really? Not The Ring? 28 Days Later? Blair Witch? The Descent? Threads? Rosemary's Baby? Sinister? Skinamarink?
@@readthedwelling 28 Days Later and most of the zombie genre are great but they don't care me. Blatty wrote another novel, The Island, that I also found very unsettling. Edit: The Island and the 1980 film that it spawned came from the tortured imagination of Peter Benchley, the author of Jaws, not William Blatty. So long ago that it's little wonder I got them mixed up.
Anyone else thinking Skinwalker movie?
When does this movie come out?
So when is the release?
Looks like a movie trying to do to much in the hopes something sticks
This looks awesome
Can’t wait I love his horror
Dan Stevens
That is all.
Dear film and TV industry
Please cast Dan Stevens in everything.
Sincerely
Piggum
Givin’ me It Follows vibes
Agree. It's a good sign!
Dan Stevens is so unsettling, what a legend lmao
Trailer is I minute too long
Beastly analog synths carry the weight here, but looks pretty great and creepy af.
Pass
I'm in 👌👌👌
Дэн Стивенс!! Как же он божественен в легионе..
Hunter Schafer is going to be a mega star
Movie is CUCKOO
why do trailers these days show all the good parts 😤
Looks good am in
Damn these are some hit in the face women….
That's a dude, man!
Good trailer 5.3 star vs good movie 3.5 star 😮😮😮
This has promise it seems...
Dan Stevens? Horror? I'm in.
Vivarium II?
Hopefully Not, I Hated That Movie
Wes Anderson now makes horrors too?
фильм по типу It Follows 2014
Malignant?
Looks like they filmed this in the 90s
It's not possible to make a really scary and good horror movie any more.... R.I.P the horror genre😭
Nothing but jump scares and gore...
It’s Possible. Anything is possible. But will they? 🤷♂️. It’s worth a try. I’ll keep watching the efforts til they do
@@thomaslytle5519 Why it's not possible is because no matter what they do, it will look like thousands of other horror-movies. it's copies of copies.
@@janlassen6101 I am not sure how far back you want to go but there are the Ari Aster films, The Wailing, Get Out, Quiet Place, Talk to Me, It Follows, Cabin in the Woods, Barbarian, Green Room, and many others.
Let me give you some advice. You know when you hear an old person talk about how great the movies of the 1950s were and how terrible today's movies are? This happens every generation. Everybody feels like their generation made the greatest movies or the greatest art. And that the new generation is nothing but copies. But every generation feels this, which means that there was no special point in time where movies were any better than any other point in time. It just feels like a specific generation is better to you because of how and when you were raised. All movies are copies of previous movies. Even the ones you like.
In 30 years people will be saying the same thing about the movies today, that nothing will be better than them. And on it goes until the end of time.
Shudder disagrees..especially this month! ❤
Looks like a platform for a bunch of jump scares.
Spoiler: It's about a species that resembles the cuckoo bird which uses other birds to raise it's own young. In our case, humans. That's what I got from it. Should have never let the trailers get this long.

This looks like good horror
Oooo 😮
Why is Dan Stevens suddenly in everything? I saw in Godzilla X Kong, I am seeing him in Abigail tonight, and now he is in this. Deos the man never stop working? Also, completely different accents in all three.
Please do not freeze the frame and reveal the monster/villain, it is not clever and just spoils the film for everyone.
Quit whining.
@@ivyg6178 quit being a cheap jerk
@@ivyg6178
No, he's right. The trailer was never meant to reveal that plus ruins some aspects of body horror the movie was going to explore. All that does is force producers to reveal even less in their trailers, making it hard to discern if it's something you'd like to watch or not
Basically a story of transition, where nothing as it seems, including the protagonist 😃
It’s really hard to make a really good honest scary movie. Not cliche. The last horror movie that was really scary was “Hereditary”.
I wouldn't even call that one scary tbh.
whenever i see dan stevens i am in...which is why i am also seeing abigail
I saw it
It comes off as stupid when it is revealed that the father was just wearing a wig.
That's Jules?
More Dan Stevens
I was hoping for more Downton Abbey and was very disappointed
i'm scared
*yawn*
The genre has really gone down the toilet huh?
Yup
Is that Jules?
Don’t google the title…..
I hope they didn't put all the entertaining parts in the trailer
Oh shit this looks good
That has got to be epic!
Got it. Aliens trapping people and experimentingon them. Why do they give away so much in the trailers??
Say less please..had to stop this, dobt wanna know THAT much! Jeez!
