I'm just making my first trial Black beauty and I'm wondering if there should be tension on the fold over elastic as you sew it to the under arm area and across the top of the cups? I just sewed on one side of the under arm area and thought it looked like it might've needed tension but I wasn't sure. Your bras always look so beautiful! It inspires me! Thank you
Hi Liz, I am in awe 😍 with your bra making skills! If you ever decide to teach a local bra sewing class PLEASE!! Let me know. Even if it is at a small club house or meeting place, I will pay and to come. You are an amazing teacher and I just love watching these types of videos you make.
I definitely went overboard on the kits but they were all so pretty. I've sewn up all 6 that I bought and now I'm trying to be good and not order any more 🤣
Hi Liz, so I also did the bra channelling the way you did it since I liked the finish of having it be tucked under the FOE at the neckline. However, now that the bra is finished, I realize that the underwires no longer completely fit into channeling and poke out the sides a little bit, since the FOE took up extra space. How were you able to make it fit? Thank you
So just wanted to say that I was able to stitch the channelling at the sides BUT they just barely had space to accommodate the wires (really had to shove em in to stitch em, and I feel like poke out quite a bit) I liked the concept of having the channelling tucked under the FOE, but in the future will follow the original instructions. So if y'all are able to get it to work, wonderful. But just something to consider for those considering making this modification: be aware that it takes away from the space the channelling allows for the wires.
these videos have been a lifesaver! thank you so much! It's made sewing this possible!

what material are the main fabrics?
Could you place the powerbar behind the cups rather than in front fo them, if you didn't want the powerbar to show?
You could place it behind or leave it off completely
