He has been or is currently in Kpop, K R&B, K-Hip Hop, K-Rock, and K-indie. He's so versatile, I never know what to expect from him but he does it well each time
woodz is known for his insane vocal capabilities so it is really nice to have songs like waiting where we get hear him and his beautiful voice more! You guys should react to some of his live performances! He really is insane!

Woodz is so talented across genres, technically and vocally and musically speaking. When I saw him live last year, he played Amnesia for us before it was officially released and I will say the music video for it does not do it justice for how beautiful it is live. He also was telling us that he wrote it recently and it's a very personal song to him so he was really hoping we would like it, even though it's different.
This is my first video seeing you guys so idk if you ever got around to watching more from him but I would recommend Accident, Chaser (my personal favorite woodz song,) and if you want another pop punk one that's more fun, I highly recommend I Hate You ((:

amnesia was not like a kpop official release, he just drop it together with behind, just before enlisting
i mean he is known for his vocals so waiting, amnesia and drowning(which I love) are well liked by the fans and random people who stumble on his songs. So yeah just expect lots of singing from him!

The blonde girl in Amnesia MV represents another self, which can be referred to in his other "Ready to Fight" live clip style, it is represented by femininity in Amnesia MV, and "she" pulled him out of his self-lost and escape and let him to face it. ....💪

Feel Like is my fave of Woodz. The guitar is just so....dirty and grindy. I love it. Recipe is my 2nd fave and is much closer to what you were originally expecting from him. Check it out.

The feature on pool is SUMIN she is a producer, singer,songwriter, and sound designer. She is incredible. Her work is so good. Rnb and electronic music she melds so well together.

I'm a Moodz, Unicorn as well, been following Seungyoun's career since 2015 ! I've seen him live back in November of last year before he went to his military service, and I can tell you, going to see him in a concert doesn't feel like going to an idol's concert but straight up a Rock Festival. It is amazing. He debuted as a rapper in his first group "UNIQ", then participated in Produce X101 in which he debuted as a main rapper and main vocal (but sadly that only lasted 5 months and one mini album). As you guys already know, he produces his own songs with friends mostly, and also produces songs for some of his old label mates. He loves trying all types of songs to see what he can and cannot do, but we've yet to see something he can't really pull of !
A bit of details about some songs you guys heard. Amnesia was some kind of "goodbye gift", part of a single with another song called Behind. It was premiered in his world tour in 2023. There are a lot of songs of his that talk about mental health, the feeling of loneliness and sadness, as those are things he definitely went through. Especially after his dad died back in 2016(if i'm not mistaken), there is a song he made after this called "Meaningless" it is such a beautiful heartbreaking song I would recommend it.
He does tend to go for a more rock appeal recently, as he now has a band that made the world tour with him, if this kind of song is not your type, I would recommend "Different" "Rebound" "Touché", "Noid", "Deep deep Sleep".
But my personal favorites are "Accident", "Drowning", "Chaser" and "Journey" (from those that I haven't named) !

I'm literally trying to catch up but WOODZ is definitely a soloist to watch out for. His best Albums 💿 are ONLY LOVERS LEFT, Colorful Trauma and OO-LI. Spotify update messed by albums so I had check to see which albums were missing. Sumin feats on Pool btw.

They haven't even listened to the best from Woodz. This man made the term All-rounder popular in Korea and in this world we call it *Woodzpop* because woodz doesn't have a genre. I can easily say he's on top of the food chain when it comes to male K-solo artists.

Hey guys...the girl in the video of "Pool" is Sumin. She is also in a Korean girl group called "Dreamnote". Her name is Park Su Min. :)
I knew about Woodz since he was in Uniq. Uniq was a group who promoted both in Korea and China and had Korean and Chinese members. (I'm also a huge fan of Wang YiBo from UNIQ.) Back then he went by the name "Seungyoun". After that he was also in a group X1. His solo stuff is so good. :)

I went straight to Spotify this time. To Woodz profile, scrolled down to the song "Pool(Featuring SUMIN) and clicked it. Found the "Sumin" he collaborated with in the credits. This is what I found according to what she posted there in the "About" column:

So... Kprofiles literally just pulled his info from back when he was in UNIQ. He was the main rapper and dancer and his identity was wrapped up in hiphop. His own music under WOODZ has really just gone whichever way he wants and kprofiles really is too lazy to keep up with it.
But also... to call Waiting and Amnesia the weakest of these 5 songs is definitely a hot take. Waiting especially is the instrumentally superior song of all these you guys watched lol. The frantic build of the music fits exactly well with the feel of the lyrics so it maybe should have been with lyrics or something? But yeah. Weird takes lol.

Why don’t you reacts to legends but unknown artists? Like if you want male solo we have gdragon or taeyang, all bts members, especially jimin and jungkook, taemin, some exo members and so on. (If talking about successful solos.) Woods is interesting guy too but wang yibo from his group has more successful solo and if you have yibo then you need to watch xiao zhan, but both of them Chinese, then you need to watch Jackson wang too 😂 may be solo episode:) and then we don’t need to forget zico and mino solos and if not idol then it’s definitely crush. Did I forget someone successful? No one came to my mind anymore, solos are not so popular in kpop.
If for girls the most successful solos are IU, all members of blackpink, hwasa, twice nayeon, girls generation taeyon, sunmi and maybe somi. Who else? Can’t remember anyone outstanding. Ahhh the best ones are probably Lee hi and ailee but they are not idols.
woodz is not unknown wtf...you can want them to react to other artists but you don't have to bring down woodz!! He is very loved and one of the best vocalists in the industry!
Woodz is one of the most beloved idol of the industry, he is regarded in high regard by a the vast majority of idols and is even friend with the ones you mentioned. You have no right to bring him down when the man is doing everything by himself from writing to composing and producing every single one of his tracks, always delivering live performances. He is one of the rare artists whose creative vision is not dictated by his company.
It’s honestly sad and worrying the industry is driven by people who believe quality in music shall be evaluated by their success (although woodz is one of the most successful solo artist in korea atm, just look at the numbers he pulls at his concerts).
I don't care if an artist is unknown which in this case it's not and what's wrong if the artist is not famous? If I like a song I don't give a damn about popularity. It just shows that you listen and watch them only for that reaason which is wrong. Sometimes small artist that aren't that well known are better that the famous one in making music.
