i already know all the No U-Turn stuff, but i'm wondering if there's any techstep released outside of NUT that have a crusty bass like this. they were in a techstep league of their own.
I assume by crusty bass you mean "just want another chance bass". Its a sample of aforementioned song by Kevin Saunderson. Trace/Nico use it in most of their records on NUT, alongside other samples of drums, synth, etc. Drum sample that appears in most of heir songs is sampled from Rotary Connection "Life Could"
