Something you might find interesting...though if not, don't worry. Thirty years ago (summer of 1994), just as I was about to go to my first year of undergraduate college (at Sarah Lawrence College--largely because Joseph Campbell had taught there...and they gave me financial aid to be able to go!), I had the idea for a poetic romance/epic on the theme of the Grail quest, in which the central challenge for Perceval was a test of the "stagnant pond," in which he had to swim through such a pond and come out clean on the other side, and by doing so purify the pond (and, by extension, the land, etc.). Though I wrote a lot during my undergraduate education, and little while doing my M.A., but a bit more while doing my Ph.D., the next ten years did not see me complete the poem until 2004, during my first Saturn Return (which was a pretty awful year...I was in the hospital, my stepfather died, financial troubles, etc.). I wrote the poem that year, and was happy enough with it. And now here it is, twenty (plus!) years after completing it, and this reading you've given here has had several of the major themes of it within it...and, for my sign! ;) I've always wanted to publish that, but most mainstream publishers don't do epic poetry. Maybe I can do it print-on-demand and sell literally no copies, like so many of my other POD books (well, not "no," but very few, alas).

I was not looking for love but it was looking for me. I’m 3 years past the death of my lover of 23 years and now I have a suitor that really wants to be with me as much as I want to be with him.
