Great explanation of competition strategies and how giving away weight and what sweeps throws and controls you use to enter into posistions you want to exploit,
It's always entertaining watching your rolls with different people.

Thanks! The benefit of comps/open mats is the practice of a “cold read” - not knowing what their game is, trying to implement your game, and hopefully not walking into theirs. Osss thanks for watching

@@ItsPandatory one of the greatest coaches imo once told me if someone has a deep collar grip don’t pass with your head down. You can’t know every choke but you can recognize dangerous situations.

Cant tell if the ref was going "oh shit"! at 0:51 or was yawning haha. Awesome video!

lol that ref is a monster from cicero costa HQ - i doubt he was overly impressed by anything in this match.

does switching the feet help pull him towards you so you can finish the triangle?? looked like it did

@@benjamin-op1tb yes absolutely - when I realized I couldn’t break his posture as he was too solid - I switched my legs and angle to feign an armbar set up and he collapsed to keep his arm more sheltered.

@@zukaBJJ a+b+c can we see an algebraic breakdown of applying the triangle choke - sometimes i feel a gets loose but i tightened c to compensate
