The ancient Antikythera Mechanism in fact uses the geocentric model which was state of knowledge 2100 years ago. For observations of the sun's and moon's movements accross the sky as viewed from earth, there is no big difference between the geocentric and the heliocentric model. In any case the moon moves around the earth, that's clear. But it is not determinable if the earth moves around the sun or the other way around when you only take into account what you see. The difference between the geocentric and the heliocentric model becomes relevant when you also look at the planets which sometimes move retrograde in the geocentric model, or when you take into account the differences in gravitation between earth and sun, which was completely unknown in ancient times. But for observations of moon and sun the geocentric model is quite alright (when you don't take gravitation into account).
@@jepumachines it is actually very easy to understand when you realized that you on horizontal level plane and all celestial bodies moving above exacly like in mechanizm, its like sky clock, always the same
Nice mechanism and explanation!
Awesome job mate 👏🙌
And it would be good to mension that all this is geocentric model and its sill working with same accuracy :) interesting, isn't it ?

💯 heliocentric is just fantasy this mechanism is 💯 geocentric globe over.
