Other than this being a sub group, F.T Triple formed in the time when Seunghyun I beleive just came to F.T.I, and Hong Ki was in the making of the Korean drama "You're Beautiful". Thus, to keep the other three members busy, F.T Triple was created and was also used to promote F.T Island. Just a little extra info if it seemed weird it didn't have certain members you wanted ;')

SBS Gayo,F&C decided to make a subgroup of FT Island,called FT Triple,which consisted of just 3 out 5 members in the band.This was to avoid Hongki from overstraining his voice.Another reason for the existence of this subgroup is due to Hongki's tight schedule with variety shows,filming,recording and other individual activities

I almost fell when I read on the magazine that FT Island's unit group F.T TRIPLE shot their music video here in Cebu? I didn't even know gosh I should have went to their set just an hour away from my house well Guinsay is really a beautiful place so proud they shot their video I just hope more K-pop idols will shot their music videos here in Philippines.
That's true ^^ Well, even if Jae Jin was lead singer (heard that he was supposed to but Hongki came XD) and he'd get throat pains instead of Hongki, I doubt Hongki would be in F.T Triple still because Jeremy (Hongki) was You're Beautiful's most precious character for fans, and Hongki not showing up to one of the shoots would've been a huge deal for You're Beautiful.
