coal mine in Ptolemaida, Greece, where they extract it for the electric plants. this material is called sterile, because it has very low percentage of coil in it, so they throw it away, until they meet with a coil layer. the blue MAN that is approaching at 05.10 is my uncle s. hehe, he accidentaly stumbled upon this video..

His loads are high are one end and low at the other end so if you were to scrape the top, the bucket would be level and full.

A very large mine, but a lot of small trucks and excavtors just 50-100 tonn. I am sure they have their specific reasons. Is it a political issue to use so many small units in this operation, to keep as many local people at work as possible? I would think in other places the would just put in a handfull of 400-800 tonn excavators and mega trucks instead of hundreds of small units, and just got the job done with much fewer workers.

I think it's lignite, which is basically low grade coal burnt in power plants. Not 100% though.
