You come the closes to Jerry Byrd playing "Sand", that I have ever heard (in my 89 yrs). Wow it's GOOD kind Sir. I am sure Jerry would be proud of you if he was still alive. May Jesus rest his precious soul.
Man, this sounds sooo good man!!! I really enjoy your music and watching and hearing you play that lap steel!! :D:D:D It inspires me to learn more on mine! :D
I believe I read on one of your posts that playing as lightly as possibe is the key to good hawaiian steel sound. Or something close to that. If it was you, I agree with you completely. My Dad had it. You have it. I'm still working at it. I can play halfway decently in E tuning. Have you ever used that tuning? If so, got any nice, soft, song suggestions for me? This B11 is beautiful. I'm going to try to learn with this one, too. Thanks.
Hi Robert. I think I was alluding to playing harmonics when I suggested playing lightly. But there is a certain touch that the old players seem to have which I am searching for! A good thing about C6 tuning is you can retune to B11 and A6 without needing to change the strings!
Just laziness. The B11 tuning I use here is a one string semitone tune from standard A6 tuning. The fact that the string you are talking about is the 6 string which is not played that often. I also think Jerry Byrd sometimes tunes the 6 string to C#. Not a very satisfactory answer I know but there it is!
The hawaian músic is amazing
Another big hit.
Excellent 👍😎

@@MikeHollandGuitar Sir, you have an excellent touch!
Question kind Sir. I was taught B11 was (lo to Hi) B D# F# A C# E. I see that you have raised the B to C#. Please tell me why? Thank you.
