I’m an American! Came across your vids a few days ago after looking at r7 content. Yeah the roads are definitely way different there lol. I’m still trying to figure out how the stop lights work haha!
Yeah in Australia it’s a bit better than the Uk in terms of licensing, some states have some dumb rules but where I’m at, it’s $500 AUD for a 2 day course and basic written and riding test, then you’re on Ls that you can have for 18 months until it expires. But after 3 months minimum has passed (from the day you got your Ls), you pay $250 to go back and let them see how you ride and give you feedback, but it’s not a test. Then at minimum 1 month after that you can go do your test for your restricted license which is just a test in their range, and a test on the road. Then you get your restricted license that you have for I believe 3 years, and you don’t need to do anything when your license is unrestricted. During all of this the limits don’t change on what u can ride, it stays the same the whole time until your license is unrestricted and you can ride whatever. When your on Ls and restricted though your limited to 660cc’s and under, also there’s a power to weight ratio limit. So you can ride most bikes up to 660cc, just not the 600 sport bikes and stuff like that with crazy power. Not sure if it’s the same for you guys but we have different versions of the R7 and Mt07 that are less cc and restricted.

We can ride only up to 450cc, bikes above that are not allowed to be registered, at least I haven't seen a Yamaha R7 here. But some people ride unregistered bikes on roads like R1. For bikes under 450cc, there are mostly 150cc bikes here, we can't even find a Yamaha R3 bike here.

about the licence, i was saying this one a different video. I'm not saying there's no difference in a 125cc and a 1000, but if your good enough to go out on a 125 and ride on roads them your good enough, everything else you'll learn over the 2 years your CBT last. there's not much else you'll learn when you do your full test really. going from a 125cc to a 600cc or 1000cc would be like going from a pushbike/e bike to a 125cc. when I did my CBT the second time, i did it on a Honda cb500f

About the uk licence why you not just do a DAS (direct access scheme) it licences you for all bikes
