I cant wait to show this to my husband so we can do it in our garage. I like the detailed video showing what you brought and how it was assembled. Thanks to you and your hubby.
OMG, I thank you soooooooo much for the idea, I'm thinking of building a rack for my shoes in my room, I though I had to spend houndreds on wood and thousands on tools, but it's very simple. Thanks again.
You are both right. It's not really DIY but some do it yourselfers want metal and nobody is going to sit there sautering metal poles together to make a rack. There are people out there like me who were sheltered and don't know how to buy stuff at a hardware store to save money. So, thank you.
+Jennifer Allen Aww. Thank you so much! So happy to hear that! I'm still making videos weekly and I'm high quality now. 😂 I've got an 8 year old, 6 year old and 3 year old. Thank you so much.
You could have bought one really long piece of shelf and cut it into 3 sections (less $). We put up the same shelving in a hallway closet but we used the heavy duty stuff bc it was for storage. But love the idea for shoes :) Thanks for sharing
We don't have a garage to put a shoe rack in I wish we did because this would be a great idea with two girls theres a lot of shoes lol!! I need a DIY flip flop rack though lol I have so many! Ella's shoes are stored in a drawer Hannah's shoes in a basket ours are under our bed
It's not like we bought a pre-packaged box that said Shoe rack that came with directions...That would be more what I would think of Assemble yourself. I guess in my little world, DIY is best fitting for this video. Just like my DIY playdough..it isn't like I invented it. I just throw the ingredients together and wa-laa!! :) Ya know? :)
You are an awesome cute family , be blessed . You have done a good job 99 % . Can I tell one small little thing , just try to flip those trays up side down. There you can see that the shoe will not fall down ... could you follow me ...?? Try and let me know . Your job will be 100 %. Cheers m8 :)
It is missed categorization video, this is not a DIY project. It is more of AIY project (Assemble-it-yourself project :-) ), you was not making anything on your own but simply buy all the pieces and put them together.

Looks so neat and organized. Love it!
What a great idea! This prevents a shoe pile up at the door like at our house!

So, thank you.
Skip the anchors, attach them to the studs (you can see them in the video) The downfall to those racks is they aren't that strong.
I did this same system above my washer and dryer and love, love, love it!
When wire shelving is used as a shoe rack, I turn the shelf upside down so that the front edge catches the heel of the shoe & they don't fall off.
+SafePet Haven My husband's shoes were too big to do that or we would have. 😊
dreamflight6000 Holy smoke, I have the 20" depth elfa shelving; would that still be too short for his shoes??? LOL?
Andy is very handy :) The shelf looks great and Henry is such a cutie :)

Henry's boots and "uh-oh spaghetti-os"... so cute! Oh, and nice shelf too. ;-)

I saw some brackets that are angled a little low so youll have that typical slanting shoe rack.
Awesome ! Looks great!
Andy is like the big friendly giant lol!
Omg I wish my husband was handy n crafty . He never even changes a necessary light bulb forget building something

Yes! This is a nice one! I couldn’t ask more after freely downloading Woody Hyezmar's Bible, google it, it's still available.

I wish I had a husband that would do stuff like that around the house. Great idea!!
That looks great!
Yeah. It was $40 total. The cool thing about it, we can add to it whenever we want. It can go higher or to the right hand side too.
looks great!

Quick question. Do the shoes get dusty in the garage?
