What's a "Micro Music Video"? A tiny, simple and hypnotizing video accompaniment to my songs. Rather than seeing a static image, I loved the idea of having a visual to get lost in while listening.

Me too! I've also thought of it as a sequel to Saturn. Saturn I see as a child talking about their parent as their parent is dying or after the parents death. Light is the child finally became a parent themselves and promising to give everything to their child everything that their parent gave to them.

This sounds like all the love letters historians have sent, the heartbeat of a person who just realized they are in love, someone who looked up at the sun and smiling, a couple sharing their first kiss under the stars, how jack felt about rose, when a baby is born, when someone is given the news they are free of cancer, the feeling of release and renewal. Hi! I have synesthesia, where many of my senses merge together. Primarily, I associate sound and color, as well as sound and touch. This is what I feel/see when i listen to this song.
The music is purely yellow. His voice, though, goes from blue to green. He doesn’t know how to feel about this new thing, he has lost something in order to gain something new. The light dances around him and his new *daughter, lets say. He looks into her eyes, orange, and his voice gains hope- the yellow mixing in for green. The music feels like a void- and the only thing there with you is the dancing lights and the daughter and father.

I see this song as a parent welcoming their child into the world and promising to be the best parent they can be to them. It seems a fitting sequel to Saturn which I see as a child reflecting on all their parent gave them after their parent has died, and promising to pass it on to their own children.

I can't believe I told myself I wouldn't cry and started crying reading comments... Every song from Sleeping at last has the best comment section. Comforting comments, stories that make me want to hug my parents and be strong with everything that's going on in my life, stories that get me crying and I want to hug all those people. This is not music, this is art, meaningful lyrics that are, unfortunately underrated, the instruments playing make it even more emotional and the voice... it's just heaven. ❤ When I don't know what to do, I feel a mess and I think that nothing can save me, I find guidance in songs and Sleeping at last is the first and only band that really gives me support and guidance. I love everyone who listens this song!

I had a foster for a 6 months. About a year ago he went back to his family. But I make sure I see him atleast once a week. I haven't missed one week without seeing him. He is my everything and made everything about this world a better place. I try my best to teach him what I know and what is feels like to have overwhelming love with me even if doesn't get it at his home. I've turned myself into a better person the first second I met him. I knew he was my baby. He is my baby even if he doesn't live with me everyday. I live my life for him and one day will know how to fight for him the way he so desperately needs. For now I see him once a week and give him everything I can to show unconditional love.

My mom had a heart attack this week, and I wasn't there. I'm only 17 and my dad took her to the hospital. I thought she wouldn't come back home, and that time once again would take a loved one from me. I thought she wouldn't celebrate Easter with me again, and to think about a world without her almost killed me. I cannot imagine how much strength it takes to wake up in a world without your mom, truly.
She got better and came back to us. When she was at the hospital, I sent her this song and it became ours. That was me telling her how much I love her and how I'll do the impossible to make her feel alive again and to live without stress again. I hope that God stays with us, and with all of you. To lose someone for death is one of the hardest fights we have to face. Whenever I listen to Sleeping At Last, I burst into tears because they remind me that people do live forever in our memories and in our heart.

To me the beginning sounds like when you're remembering a lost one, the feeling of happy at the memory but sad that they're gone
I was depressed and nearly committed a suicide before I turned 18. I struggled with my own wounds and learnt how to self-healing meanwhile my beloved knew nothing about my depression. When I look back, this song just likes a message from my current self to my past self and also a message from my higher self to my current self whenever I feel like giving up my life. I believe life is a miracle

I love sleeping at last, they are literally the best band in the whole world, their songs make you feel this weird emotion inside of you, it feels so powerful, like as if your soul had just been kissed by all goodness and beauty, and even the lyrics are just sooooo good.
Everyone interprets songs differently. Whether its through personal experience or as an outsider looking in.
To me this song is sang by a parent who really didnt have the best childhood. Whether due to familial abuse, abuse through neglect, whatever it is. And they have a child of their own now, and this is their promises to love them how they should be loved and treat them how they should be treated.
