I rarely reply to comments, but I just wanted to say that you voiced my thoughts ENTIRELY.
As someone who has a friendship like Sucrose and Collei, the amount of comments I have seen of "they both have bottom energy" is really weird. It's one of the many reasons why I left the website in the first place, if not the Genshin community in general (other than the oddball animatcs here).
I *read* that the manga takes place of up to two years before the start of the game when traveller arrived. I know anime and Genshin have that "babyface, but is actually 5000 year old" trope, but to me, Collei looks like a minor, and to me, she just needs a support group and support system in her life. Not something like what *some* people in this community claim and want.
And before anyone goes "you Westerners are so soft, the age of consent is 13-16 in Asia", I know. But still, I don't really think shipping Collei with anyon for that matter is right, given what she went through up until the start of the game.
That's just me though. Again, 1000% agree with your comment, I just had to go off after seeing an influx of "and they both were bottoms" being circled around by artists I thought I liked and respected.

Reading Sucrose's character texts really hammers her personality this entire windblume.
Losing two friends one due to a tragedy with their parents and one never returning from an adventure with theirs, her shared vision of wanting a complete paradise with her friends were lost when both events happened. She turned to alchemy and had the unfortunate side-effect of turning herself into an introvert due to the many variables of her actions could affect relationships just as they would her experiments (also she's shy because of her ears too).
Her sudden friendship with Collei, and the near immediate realization that something was off about her shows that her observational skills rubbed off from being a studious alchemist, and that although she isn't much of a social person, she ensures to only let Collei know her truest of thoughts about her and herself as a person, as an introvert, as a friend. A friend she never had for quite possibly a long time, something that Collei very much relates too as well.

Honestly, Dottore is probable the most f*cked harbinger ever, even if he does not know that yet. By now he has half of Sumeru after his sorry arse personally, plus Wanderer, plus now Monstadters will join, plus, I suspect, Childe would like a piece... Soon he will wake up to a Jumpty Dumpty for a pillow.
And he's only the... what 3rd or 4th Harbringer we seen in-game?

This friendship is just the sweetest and the cutest!!! They bond so well
I really resonate with this because I feel like sometimes the friends you appreciate the most and that are your closest and oldest friends sometimes…idk… just me personally, sometimes it feels quite awkward, while other times it feels so natural. I’m not sure why… your oldest and your good new friends do give you different strengths, and this scene really helped me after seeing someone who struggled with the same things as I did. Sucrose is an incredible friend.
As someone who is an introvert and finds it difficult to start a conversation or join one… that scene really was touching
This is honestly the most wholesome friendship to ever start. Collei really does need a balance of friends. Amber helps her in an extravert way. Help her get out of her shell. While Sucrose can understand her in an introverted way.
Bonus points for the Albedo and Cyno friendship. That was just plain cute and funny.
sucrose always seems so down to earth and relatable and then you remember that her first reaction to recieving her vision was to boil it with dandelion seeds to see what would happen
I am usually so critical of genshin’s stories but this windblume event seriously hit different, this cutscene was so endearing ngl

Technically Tighnari already told us, and Collei talks about it when you lvl up her trust but I get what you mean it would be nice hearing collei talk about it with some animation or nice art in the background

As interesting as this story was, I hate how it was executed. Instead of showing us what hardships Collei suffered through while telling her story to Sucrose, it's just a black box and jumps to a few minutes later. Like, really?
