I bought the snapmounts and was excited to use them. After one year the main mount on the camera cracked while I was screwing the thumb screw. I never used them for any kind of extreme conditions but it still cracked. Wrote to Snapmounts and never got a response.
The only thing that’s prevented me from ordering a Snap mount in the past is the size of them. I wish they could find a way to make them just a little smaller and less bulky, it’s one more thing to carry around with everything. Nonetheless, I decided to give them a shot with the promo code so we’ll see if the practicality of it outweighs the size.
I think the practicality issue depends on how often you switch mounts. I have four mounts that I regularly switch between throughout the day, so for me, the added size pales in comparison to how much easier they make my life. Which mounts are you mainly using?
My friend's GoPro11 exploded on his head while he was playing with a ball. GoPro 11 cameras get very hot and may burn. Be careful this is a very dangerous video camera.
@@DavidManningvlog I agree, and I think I will like it. I just wish it was a bit smaller especially if I want to mount it to something like my helmet. Just looks a bit weird when I’m not using it. I mainly use it for snowboarding so my GoPro is usually on my helmet or selfie stick.
The only thing I don't like about the snap mounts are that it makes the camera even more bulky for use on a helmet. It's a great concept, but I wish there was a way of doing it that didn't interfere as much with the profile of the camera.
Sad I'm about to do a video about this same mount and don't have a great one to give because mine broke only after 2 months of use. Mine popped off my bike several times and finally flew off on a small bump and snapped in half. I love the functionality but I didn't have a great experience with mine.
Did you have it on a locking adapter on your bike? Anything action based, you should for sure be using a locking adapter. Magnets have great pull strength, but lack in sheer strength, meaning they can slide side to side against each other. So anything where you're going to be heavily bumping up and down, you need to have those locking adapters on there. If you had the locking adapter on and it came loose that would for sure be something to note!
@David Manning when I purchased the mount they didn't have that mount and I just learned about it through your video. I'm going to look into maybe getting that setup and give it another test. I really liked the mount and used it a lot a different spots on the bike. So I may have to give it another shot! Thanks for the reply Awesome Human!
Love my Snap Mounts! Haven't had the gopro out in a bit, been playin' around with a Pocket 2 buuuut when I do, it's snappy snaps all day. They're awesome! BTW, also used the phone mount bit for several months out in the mounts and it worked fantastically. I think I knocked it off the backplate ONCE, but that was my fault. Had a backplate attached to my backpack strap and thrust my arm out, smackin' the side of the phone hard enough to knock it off. But regular use, thing is epic.
Ohhhh, that's a clever use of the phone mount as like a POV shot! I'm usually using mine on my desk to watch videos then switch to my GoPro to go film. But man, this phone mount is beefy 🤣
@@DavidManningvlog POV and super easy access. Surprised that you didn't mention that Snap Mounts had to create the Media Mod adapter as the GP in the media mod doesn't fit well in the original standard mount.

I hope you making money on these, because every time I see a video that you talk about snap mounts you sell them to me lol
It will be awesome if they let us pay with PayPal and not only with credit card..
This bike mount has been out for quite some time (probably without their brand printed on the side). It's solid and a good addition to their line.
We all have that cool spot in our Dune buggies.... lols.
Just one down side is the weight.
I use Snapmount all the time! Thanks to you David! Love their stuff.
DAVEEE🙌🙌🙌
Abhijeet in the house!
much too big otherwise just use Quick Lock 2
My shop looks like a SnapMount warehouse thanks to you and Snapmounts. So darn clever in everything they do. I think the locking snapmount should be the standard for everything. Buy a bunch of their extra long screw knobs and you'll never use another kind in your life. I didn't know about the handlebar mount. I should just link my bank account to them and let them do automatic pulls. -Tom
Your a good sales person ngl 😅
I've been looking into those and wondering if they really are as good as advertised. Thanks for the video and convincing me the hype is real!
Ended up grabbing two sets from them because of you
