Returned from my trip to Alaska on the Konningsdam! Your video was very informative, we got a sunny break when we got to glacier bay and even saw orcas as we sailed away.
I'm so jealous!! Orcas are the top of my list.
Lots of good little spots! I’m making a plan for Glacier bay day! I’m thinking a good chunk on our balcony, the deck 5 with pea soup and maybe the lower after deck 3

Hi Angie. Thanks for the great videos. It seems like ones room balcony would be best for viewing Glacier Bay, etc. Is there a reason why the public areas might be better? (We’re boarding the Koningsdam in a few days!!!)
I explained it a little in the video. Height may be an issue depending what deck your balcony is on. It's much easier to spot otters and some birds from lower decks. It's also amazing sailing into Glacier Bay on the bow of the ship with a full 180+ view.

I want to book same cruise, if it returns at 7am what time can I get back to airport for flight home ? How long is disembarking ?
Holland America recommends a flight after noon.
