There are many things that don't make sense about the Christian concept of Heaven -- or at least the popularized version of it. And I wish religious people could give me a clear answer on the following questions, because I don't think they've thought this through.
- When we're up there, are we frozen at a certain age? I imagine old people wish they could be back in their younger bodies. Do they get that option?
- What about babies who die? Do they remain babies in Heaven, or are they some older, wiser, talkative versions of themselves?
- If you're a parent who tragically lost a baby, wouldn't you want to see your baby in heaven instead of some 20-year-old version of that baby you never knew?
- What about unborn children? Christians say they've living, which is why we shouldn't abort them, but they also don't think those fetuses are going to be punished with Hell for their mother's decision. So is Heaven just littered with the remains of partially formed babies?
- Does jealousy exist in Heaven? Because jealousy develops when people are better than you or have more things than you... but the only way to avoid that is to make everybody the same in Heaven. They say "variety is the spice of life" but it sounds like uniformity is the norm in Heaven, which sounds really boring.
- What do people eat in Heaven? Can you be a carnivore? Because eating meat would still require the death of animals... and where would those animals come from? The places around you, I assume. So if I have this right, these animals died, then went to Heaven, only to be slaughtered again to provide food for hungry angels.
- What about bugs? Do I have to deal with spiders on my cloud?
- If I have a disability, do I still have it after I die? Can I get out of my wheelchair in Heaven? And what if I embraced it? There are deaf people who don't want cochlear implants. Does God fix their hearing against their will?
- What if the person who killed me accepted Jesus and made it to Heaven. Would I run into that person?
- What if I really don't want to see certain family members again in the afterlife? We always talk about how we'll be reunited with our loved ones after death... but I can think of a few people I don't want to see ever again, especially for eternity.
- Speaking of loved ones, what if someone I loved didn't accept Christ? They'd go to Hell. But how happy could I be in Heaven if someone I loved was burning forever? Or would I just forget about that person?
- Do people have sex in Heaven? Can they? Do they get privacy?
- What if you're a guy who died at an old age? Does your dick work again?
- If Islamic terrorists say you get 72 virgins in heaven, what happens when martyrs run out of them? Can they replenish their stash of virgins? And honestly, wouldn't they want to be with 72 people who know what they're doing? Or just one?
- And wouldn't Heaven for those terrorists really be Hell for those virgins?
- Where do we live? Do I get a house? Is it a mansion?
- How do I go to sleep? Do people even get tired in Heaven?
- Do I finally get to drive a Tesla? Does Heaven have roads?
- Are we smarter in Heaven? Will I finally be able to understand things I never figured out on Earth? Will I be able to play the piano? Can I finally prove things that are elusive to the best mathematicians?
- What's the weather like? Because when I visit my parents, we can't even agree on what the thermostat to be at. So is there temperature control? Is it individualized?
- Would we be happy all the time? Because that could get really old after a while. Have you ever eaten pizza when you're really hungry? It's great for the first slices but then it starts to make you sick. And if you keep going you won't like it. You need a break. Happiness is great, but that's partly because we all get sad sometimes. It makes the good times that much more memorable.
- Do we have to go to church in Heaven? If I'm there, it's presumably because God actually exists, but then are we supposed to worship Him for all eternity? That doesn't sound like a good time. You thought church was boring now? Wait till the services last literally forever.
- Do I have to spend an eternity around other Christians who can't stop talking about God? Because I try to avoid that now.

When I was a child (like 7 or younger) I was forced into Christianity. The thing I hated most was that I "wouldn't see my dad in heaven because he's a nonbeliever". People flat out told me my dad would burn in hell for all eternity and I would cry my eyes out all the time. Now as an atheist, remembering that makes me hate their religion even more.

These are questions I have never thought of about heaven before.

This was so funny!! I always thought it was funny that Jesus got to take his body to heaven but the rest of us are supposed to go without ours!
Because we are full of sin, and the wages of sin is death. Jesus is sinless, so He was ascended to heaven with His body.
But worry not! We’ll get a heavenly body once we’re there!

I can draw 3 main points from your story :
-Your friend is not a believer of Christ.
-Your friend does good works.
-You believe your friend is sinless.
And you are asking wether if your friend going to end up in hell or not.
Here are my answers (based on the scripture)
No one is sinless except Christ alone. And because people sin, they can't get into heaven except they accept Christ's free gift of salvation.
"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
In fact, the reason people eventually die is because at one point of their life they have sinned.
"For the wages of sin is death"
Christ is the only way. Human's good works won't please God unless they have faith in Him.
"For without faith, it is impossible to please God."
People can't exchange a genuine relationship with God with good works. That's not how salvation works. Salvation is a gift from God.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast."
I won't judge where your friend will end up because Christ told me not to. I believe you can make a conclusion out of the verses I just pointed out.

You're way off the mark there. Plants are alive, but they are not 'beings', and some dictionary definitions specifically include only humans and animals as beings. Plants are not sentient and thus have no consciousness.

My question is if a person lost their spouse, and then they remarried, and then their second spouse died, and then they died. Would they be split between two people that they loved? Would they forget about one of their loved ones? Would their loved ones be happy knowing that they couldn't have this one person to themselves? I mean, if a widow had to see two husbands in heaven, it would turn really awkward, fast.

@@Art3615 We don't actually believe in your heaven. The whole point of the question was to point out that the idea of heaven is illogical no matter which way you imagine it. If there actually was a heaven, it would eventually turn into a hell because it would literally never end. Then, if you believe that heaven changes your mind in some way then it wouldn't actually be you. I get that everyone has their own version of heaven in their mind but no matter what, the idea is flawed. For that matter, hell would only be hellish because it never ends. Any sort of discomfort from burning, or whatever your idea of hell is, would eventually just become normal to you. It's eternity that would become unbearable. Is a shame that people actually put stock in these imaginary ideas, not to mention childish.

Interesting perspective. That would mean I'm not really me anymore, so why not just populate heaven with whatever god wants. We're not required. Another thought regarding the nun's opinion. Where did the nun find that information? It seems many people just think up something they like, and then believe that. If that worked, I'd think I'm handsome and rich, and life would be set for me.

Well of course you would have to have some kind of BODY in Heaven, because the body is how one EXPERIENCES things in the world around them - sights, sounds, smell, sensations, and so forth. SPIRITS can't do any of THAT - they don't posses vision, hearing, touch and so forth. If one were nothing but a mere bare disembodied spirit then they'd, in effect, be deaf, dumb, and blind and the world around them would be nothing but an empty void.

Of course there's sports. While Earth is still around you'll be able to watch the living play sports. And once God has destroyed the earth and there's no one left for him to banish to hell, God will have all the angels have a pissing contest to prove which angels worship him most and banish the losers. You won't have to just watch the sports, you'll get to take part and risk eternal torment for eternity.
Here's a real answer. Of course there are sports. There will be everything that exists now except the presence or possibility of sin. Losing is not a sin. So there will be winners and losers. This life is a shadow type. Maybe a good analogy is that this world is like a black and white connect the dots picture or a picture in the dark. With God's full presence and sinless humans and angels the lights go on and everything's the same but clear and full. The dots get connected and colored. The shadows disappear and the vivid real thing begins.

Abraham DID have a son before Isaac (supposedly) came along - Ismael.
The claim that the bible writers made, which was that Ismael was born of an enslaved Egyptian woman, is highly ironic considering that the Egyptians didn't enslave the Israelites in Egypt; the Egyptians enslaved Israelites/Canaanites IN the land of Canaan/Israel. The Egyptians conquered the land of Canaan aka Israel & ruled that area for 300 years.
So it's more likely that the "Egyptian slave woman Hagar" is a wishful Israelite fantasy, as is the rest of the origin myth of "Abraham" & "Isaac". However the tidbit about child sacrifice - there are other indications that the Israelites did engage in child sacrifice - to the YHWH god as well as to the other Canaanite gods.

I've been told that heaven is an experience like when you first wake up from good sleep: everything is good feelings and you don't have worries, somewhat like when you're first waking up, you feel very good and aren't yet hit with whatever is difficult in life. I was essentially told by a loved one that because of this I won't be missed while I'm burning :) So yeah no worries guys if you love a Christian and you're an atheist, god makes them forget about your existence! Sounds a bit anti-freewill doesn't it? Hmmm.

When I was a kid I remember learning from parents/sunday school that heaven was supposed to be this wonderful place. Around 9 or 10 I read Revelation for the first time and heaven sounded horrible - Praising god and bowing and worshiping ALL THE TIME and listening to trumpets and harps (I hated orchestral music). I remember feeling evil for not wanting to go to heaven. I regret letting my childhood emotions be hijacked by religious nonsense.
Yeah, but that's the line between the saved and unsaved. When I read, "I don't want to serve God, I don't want to bow to him in love, and I don't want to hear his music." The first thing I assume is, this guy is NOT a part of of God's portion, and will not be saved. It right now, it's probably true, unless he has EVER told you he was keeping you.
For me, I can't wait to hug Jesus, I have already said in my life after being saved that I cannot WAIT to be at his feet telling him I love him, and he is the most amazing thing I have ever experienced, and I have cried saying "I love you."
See the difference between us? The saved and unsaved, his portion. That's why it says we are HIS PORTION. We love him, and can't wait to be with him, the lost think different. Like you. They don't love God, they don't love the things he's created, and they could care less about everything, including his music. Does that sound like his portion, his choice pick? Maybe you don't care, but you should be begging God to heal you, and your relationship with him.

No one does, it's subjective.
Perfect for one, is not necessarily perfect for the next.
In order for something to be perfect, a model has to exist. This is where the subjective part comes in.
Perfection is then measured, by being as identical to the model as possible.
At least that is how I assess the idea of perfection.

The concept of heaven is stupid.
You know, the movie "The Tale of the Princess Kaguya" makes some pretty good points at the end about how the heaven that we imagine is really really terrible! I'm surprised more people, especially Atheists, haven't actually watched it. Not to mention, this movie should have way more recognition.
Another great question about Heaven: "Would you lose all your memories in heaven?" Think about it, if you have your previous memories you may not always be happy because there will be things you regret having never done, or things you don't want to remember. But also, there may be things you long to have again, like emotions, but if you have no memory of them, then you are blissful and happy in heaven. Which as the movie (The Tale of the Princess Kaguya) states, is just depressingly terrible. Like, Who wants to lose all their memories forever!? But if you want to be happy in heaven, well, that's kind of the only way because memories will only hold you back from that "eternal bliss"

I'm not religious but this video isn't good. I don't think he understands how most Christians view heaven. His questions mostly revolve around our earthly bodies, but Christians don't think you have a body in heaven. Instead youre more of an energy. And there's really no feelings. So you don't get hungry, cold, or any of those things. You're a robot. A happy constant god worshipping robot. That's it. It's still bullshit. Im not God, but heres what I presume:
1. In heaven people appear as fully developed, but theres not physical bodies that age as here on earth so no one knows exactly.
2. Babies (and children) who dies stay such in Heaven until their parents die, and will then grow up to be fully developed.
3. Similarily died fetuses appears as fully developed newborns. Deliberatly aborted fetuses dont exist.
4. Assuming you mean "envy", not "jealousy", as the latter has noting to do with things or skills.: In heaven all has basically what they wish to have so, so envy does not exist.
5. People in heaven are not the same, and it is not boring there.
6. People eat food in heaven, including meat. However in Heaven it is not neccesary to buther animals to get meat.
7. There will not be bugs around you in Heaven if you dislike that OR you wont feel disgust of bugs in Heaven.
8. No one has disabilities or ilness in Heaven, (except for those who want it themselves, which im sure is many....).
9. If your killer accepted Jesus it would also mean he repented killing you. Yes, you could run into that person, but he would not be the same as when killing you.

So I, as a Christian, cannot really answer how we will look like because the Bible does not specify that, but we'll have our physical bodies. I would suggest you to read the book of Revelations to get most of these questions answered.

I hope I'm not misunderstanding, but for example the rich would not have a little shack compared to a poor person having a great mansion. People generally speaking would have the same things, simply we would all have mansions. We also won't become poorer the richer we get and also richer the poorer we get. Here is my answer to these questions, in case somebody was interested:
*age, babies, fetuses and old people* I believe we will be in our best strength, so we'll probably be quite young, around earthly 20-30 years old maybe? And yes, babies, fetuses and old people (as well as everyone else) will get new, glorified and resureccted physical bodies, that will not be able to age. But i believe that there won't really be the term of age, cause there will be no time as we know it in this world. We will just exist, being able to talk to unborn children as we're all equal.
*jealousy* No. Jealousy is something that is not necessarily a sin, but just like anger, these emotions are not good or something you'd want to feel, so they won't be a part of eternal life in heaven.
*food* If there is food in heaven, it will probably be plant-based, just as it was in the begining of Genesis. It shall also be very tasty, delightful and idk, God is very creative! But I don't know for sure.
*bugs* Nothing should bother you in heaven. If animals will exist after death, they will definitely be in heaven, but not in a way that they might kill/injure/annoy you. Again, as heaven is a perfect place, not a thing should be annoying.
*disabilities* We will be given new, glorified and FLAWLESS bodies. So I suppose no acne nor wheelchairs will be in heaven. Our bodies will be incapable of any sickness.
*people in heaven* We will only have some memory of our earthly lives, but I believe only happy memories, and we will also recognize our loved ones and Bible heros and stuff. So, if your murderer ends up in heaven, you might run into him but because you'll be incapable of sadness or anger of any form, it won't be "awkward" or hurtful to any of you. For the same reasons, a situation of you not wanting to see a certain person won't occur. Again, there will be no more tears and no more pain, so after the final judgement we probably won't remember a loved one that went to hell.
*sex* There will be no sex in heaven. We will not have the sexual desire, we will do much more pleasurable activities instead.
*house and tesla* Yes, you'll probably live in a mansion-like building. The Bible doesn't mention roads, but it does mention streets of gold. And there probably won't be cars, sorry :D
*sleep* Because our bodies will be perfect, we won't sleep bc we won't need it, nor be tired.
*intelligence* I really don't know, but you will definitely know more things than you do now.

1Are we the same age in heaven? technically most of us yes. as age is based on how long you are alive. we will all be resurrected more or less at the same time. thus sharing the same age.

Upon the resurrection your loved one will come back much like a spiritual zombie. While it is sad to loose a loved one and there will be a period of sadness. then god will wipe away every tear and life will go on.

I grew up "learning" a lot of these "facts" about Heaven, so I can answer some of the questions.
1. We will receive new, "glorified" bodies and be in the prime of life forever.
4. Yes, aborted babies are said to go to Heaven.
6. Jealousy is a mortal sin, and thus will not exist in Heaven.
7. We will not need to eat in Heaven, and we probably won't even want to.
9. Again, we'll all have perfect bodies in Heaven.
11. You just might - and you'd forgive that person, because you'd be ecstatic you're both there.
12. In Heaven you would never have that kind of attitude.
14. According to Islam, they do. Or at least that's implied.
21. Women love sex just as much as men.
23. We will all live in "my Father's house," where "there are many rooms."
28. Yes. You will become like God and be omniscient.
31. Heaven is generally thought of as communal, so probably not.
33. We won't have to go to church, because we'll be with God all the time and won't have to go to the trouble of "visiting" Him.
36. Heaven will be EXTREMELY diverse.
37. There will be choirs of angels singing. That's not harp music.
At least, the above are what my parents would probably say.

I FIND THAT STATEMENT TO BE INCORRECT! let me explain why. Before God created humans or earth.... when it was just god, Angel's & heaven.... there was a beautiful angel named LUCIFER! HE WAS ONCE AN ANGEL UP IN HEAVEN. HE SUDDENLY BECAME JEALOUS OF GODS POWERS..... and wanted to have the same power that god had.... so he was THROWN OUT OF HEAVEN ALONG WITH 2/3 (OR SOME BIG FRACTION) OF THE ANGELS THAT WENT WITH HIM... DOWN TO HELL! AT LEAST THATS WUT THEY TELL US

I don't know why you don't want to see certain people I had resentment a lot from My adoptive family my whole adoptive family who didn't want to talk to me but recently this year we started talking again and actually becoming a family because we both forgave each other. Forgiveness of yourself forgiveness of other people is a huge thing.
Yes you get your own house or a house with your family or maybe friends that God made just for you he knows what you like and what you don't like he wants to make it perfect for you. He is our treasure and he also wants to give us treasure as in love joy peace etc. Aka fruits of the spirit. There is so much peace in heaven.

Being happy all the time I don't see why that is a bad thing you unless you like confusion, anger and hatred and stuff like that which sounds awful to me. But I would rather be happy then be depressed all the time.

Yes there is music in heaven it's a party in heaven. We were created by God so we worship him.

Honestly I’m surprised that you have so many subscribers. Not only are pretty much all of these questions addressed (directly or indirectly) in the Bible, but your approach and attitude seems quite sarcastic - almost like you’re trying to convince yourself and/or mock Christians/God/the Bible. After watching this video, I’m almost certain that you’ve never read the Bible. I’ve read it only a couple of times and pretty much all of these concerns are answered or addressed. It’s like thinking that 3+1=5 because you were given incorrect change at the grocery store (total is $3, you hand them $5, and they mistakenly give you $1 change instead of $2, and so without knowing any better or having learned math, you suddenly believe the 3+1 = 5 - and so now you’re convinced that all the math books are wrong). In other words, your credibility has been completely lost.
This was something I even came across a long time ago when I was very young. Someone says "you can't _truly_ hate anybody," and to add on to that, the bible also says "love everyone equally." So, if I come across a robber or a murderer who kills someone or several people in my family and attempts to murder me as well, then I'd still just have to say "You killed my family and tried to kill me too, but.... I _loooove_ you, anyway!!"? How am I supposed to love somebody who kills my family or somebody I love?!

As a Catholic, I think about it like that: God is perfectly good to such extend that all the evil and pain are very little in comparison. When the saved see the Truth as it is, they would be so in awe of God's Love and Mercy that wishing it to everyone else salvation wouldn't be a problem and it would be easy to forgive, since Good is so much more powerful than any evil
