I'm turning 24 next month, graduated from the department of Petroleum Engineering and applied and got admission to study energy management in TU Berlin this year but plans fell through due to some circumstances. And even when I was applying I was always wondering if it is what I wanted or if I'd start and realise I'm wasting my time. Everyone always says find what you are passionate about but I'm passionate about different things at different times or even at the same time and my mind works wonders at letting me feel like I can't do anything well because of my track record of starting something and not finishing it. I'm not sure what to do again because there's a little pressure from my family. Your videos are always a source of encouragement to me, thank you 😊😊
I feel the same way. I'm currently 24 (turned 24 in July) and I have felt so lost these past few years. I've never had a stable passion (don't know if that makes sense). I've always wanted to do different things. In the last few years, I was so certain that Cosmetic Science was my calling, but those plans fell through. I applied to a private university in France and I got accepted, but then my visa was denied twice.
This year I applied to other countries (UK and Italy) and I was accepted at a school in the UK but got two rejections from Italy. I was so frustrated. I'm a smart person, so I was wondering what was causing my plans to fall through. After praying to God, the holy spirit told me to apply to other programs different from cosmetic Science and I did. Immediately, I got admission into two schools (In Germany and Italy). I chose Germany and I'll be starting school in November. Sometimes we fail because God has a different purpose for us. I hope my story motivates you to not give up on yourself and keep on striving💪🏽
Hi Wendiiking, Thank you for sharing this with me. 🫂 I'm sorry your plans regarding your master's studies fell through😞, but this period can be a great opportunity for you to take a step back and really plan what you want to do. If you already have doubts about your program, the German education system will certainly test those doubts… I struggle with having multiple passions as well, starting things and not finishing them. Have you tried writing down everything you'd like to do, and next to it, everything you're good at? Then, on another paper, list all the possible career paths that mix what you're naturally good at and what you're passionate about. Once you've done that, do some research! Go on LinkedIn, look at people’s profiles, watch "day in the life" vlogs, and check current trends (e.g., everyone is big on GenAI, etc.). Talk to people in those fields as well. Pay attention to the skill sets of people you admire in the field. Imagine your dream job and search for it on LinkedIn. What are the job descriptions and requirements for an ideal candidate? Afterward, take note of all the skills you'll need to learn and apply for free or paid certifications. Create a learning plan for the year that includes everything you need to learn, and start learning. Make sure you stick to it and review it every quarter. Apply for voluntary or paid opportunities that will allow you to practice what you're learning (preferably look for opportunities that don't distract from your regular income-earning activities, e.g., volunteering at an NGO in a position that allows you to practice what you've learned). Be forward-thinking in your approach. If you're coming to Germany and are passionate about, for instance, communications, you could study a master’s in a general field like project management or marketing (which has elements of communications without restricting you to a specific line of work). This gives you flexibility, as you might use your PM degree for something else later. Be proactive-learn the German language. Reach out to people for help, post your work on social media, ask for and get critical feedback, join communities, and make friends in your industry. It’s a lot of information, but I believe we can do this💪🏾 Take it in small steps, and you'll realize that little by little, you're getting better at what God has called you to do. Hope this helps! ☺️
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 It takes submitting our will and future to God for him to work. In our weaknesses he is glorified. I am so happy you found what he has called you to do n.g❤️❤️ and I pray for strength and wisdom that you will see it through. Sending so much love your way.
Hi Jennie, i think God specifically brought me across your page. I have been having these thoughts recently, too frequently. I want to go for a master's in tourism and hospitality management, but my family wants a different( not bad career path for me) they feel I could do well in it and work and earn better, but this is my new career is what I really am longing to go for and I feel like God wants that too, I mean I see it in everything, everywhere, and it somewhat joins with my passion and likes. But I also feel like maybe my family is right also. . I really don't know what to do tho. I took a service hear after uni and realized I wanted to do this, but also don't want to fail or disappoint anybody. So I am looking at Germany next year and Tourism. Still praying on this.
Hello😊, I am glad you are here! The worry about disappointing family is a real struggle for people from supportive families that have historically wanted only the best from them. It may sound cliche but picture yourself in 50 years, when your family’s opinions no longer hold weight, what would you have wished you did for yourself. It’s important that at some point in life if what you want to do is not sinful or brings you harm, just do it. Part of growing up and being an adult is in your ability to; 1. think critically, 2. resolve to take responsibility for your successes or failure and 3. make independent decisions Is it possible to do both things simultaneously? Have you created a career plan for your passions? Is it SMART? This are questions you might want to ask yourself and answer. Remember, God has given us specific talents for which we would be held accountable for🤗 Hope this helps!
Amazing video! Moving abroad to a country in which you don't speak the language ain't easy. But I believe that with prayer things eventually work out! Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work!

Yes I'm currently in the same situation, I am 21, graduated from the department of electrical electronics engineering, but deep down I am not fulfilled,i studied electrical engineering because of my dad, I love public speaking alot😁, anyways I'm currently studying German so I can apply for a bsc in engineering management. At least there i can have the leverage of communicating ❣️. I'm really inspired by this
Hey edem_michael! Thank you, this is great I am happy that you found something you are passionate about and I wish you the best of luck with the Bsc program! You don’t have to respond to this but I am really curious why you are not doing a MSc. in Engineering management since you have a bachelor’s already in electronics engineering
@@simply_jennie I have hnd in electrical engineering, I just want a different course and start from the scratch, the program is 3 years. I still have time by my side 😁
