He does lose control when he’s around someone who hurts his friends, but that’s for his friends, of course you would get hurt and mad if someone killed your friend like kite. Gon isn't a psycho, he's human with non human abilities. In the real world if someone killed someone close to you, you often see people lose control and sadly ends up killing to make up for the lost. Do you think in a fictional universe where hunter licenses can give you the access to kill, people just wouldn't do it. He lost control and his hopes to beat pitou became something he wanted so badly he made a nen deal without even establishing it with words . For god sake's he was crying while obliterating pitou.
