Odysee appears to have oversold their bandwidth (like my ISP, argh...) It _might_ be usable -- if it didn't constantly hang, tell me its "performance may be degraded" and then impose a _five minute_ wait before I can try to refresh.
Very good testing! I'd be interested to see more controlled temperature testing between the different types of filament. Heat resistance is one thing I worry about with PLA (even PLA+). Since you have a filament dryer, you should be able to easily construct a repeatable test that can test heat deflection versus time at a given temperature.
Hi, i was just wondering if this was the HIGH HEAT + TOUGH PLA - 3D870, because there are 2 on the website a normal PLA one and the Tough PLA one that says you can heat treat it from 100 to 120C, just want to know if its the same one as in the video and if it is did you heat treat it and would that cause it to shrink and take the print out of spec, thank you in advance.
@Hoffman Tactical Oh ok yeah i just saw that the other one is the 850 sorry for the stupid question and thanks for the info, i won't be buying it anymore 👍
I was going to do one sooner. The problem is, right now at least, it's not practical. An aluminum upper can be had for low cost, shipped right to your door!
Hoffman Tactical This is delivered to your door, we have 5 years in prison for this. It's just that you can make an upper numbered and even the second amendment to the constitution will not be violated, and you will already have the best practices and experience to sell the kits.
Push Plastic. Though I have found that 3D870 has a rather low layer adhesion, which has led to some small cracks on some of my lowers. I think PCTG may be a better option.
Unfortunately not. I have read the RUclips Community Guidelines carefully and I can not find how the video was in violation. I think that somebody at RUclips is going after me because of the 3D printed guns.
Excellent!!.Glad you have alternative platforms. Rumble seems to be one that people are going to for video. RUclips changes the rules as they go.
Odyssey, noted.
found you on odysee!
I’ll be heading that way soon also. Keep up the great work bud
That keyboard though 🙌
So cool!

yeah its been a rough last 2 weeks with that but Salty has been help showing them the downfalls

I'd certainly like to work out a good way of determining the properties of filaments at elevated temperatures!
@@HoffmanTactical If you're not already subscribed, CNC Kitchen is also an excellent resource for filament testing.
@@twinturbostang I watch all his video's. Awesome content!

This was the 870. Though I don't recommend it anymore, as it has layer adhesion issues.

should release this as a test pack for others to expand on brands/formulations that have been verified to work or not
When I get all the bugs in my set up worked out I'll release all the sample files and testing machine designs, that way other can do testing.
It's a shame that aluminum has risen in price, but still we are waiting for the upper receiver.

@@onreal5999 uh, what? you can have uppers shipped to your door.
Didymus 1999 No, we can not order an upper with delivery to the door, it is possible in America, we do not have it.

Great vid. Very useful!
Sorry to hear that. I have an account with Odysee and follow u on Instagram
Any chance a modified fruit dehydration chamber could help?
Where do you get your 870 pla from?

What would be the best sakata pla 870 settings. Running ender 5. thank you.
Very very strong more than Sunlu pla+
Did you build your own Instron for tensile tests?
Yes.
@@HoffmanTactical Ha that's awesome, wasn't sure if you just bought a used one off ebay and gutted the exterior. Nicely done.

If RUclips keeps it up, it will just be metube. I'm tired of all the censorship.
We’re can I get this pla filiment
This was from Push Plastic. But I would now recommended going with the Polymaker PLA Pro.
@@HoffmanTactical thank s man
