This Casioak is one of the best for legibility. It really needs the Tough Solar Bluetooth module, then it would be perfect. Agree with you about adding Saphire.
They can improve it with solar & sapphire. Perhaps a new dial design. I'm looking at the new GST-B600 and it's solar, a new dial, with just as much legibility as this one. Thinking about adding it to my collection. My GST B400 is the only thing standing in the way.
Thanks for this interesting review 👍 . I really like G-Shock, but I don't find digital watches easy to read at a glance (due to wearing analogue for 50 years!). Before the Casioak all G-Shock analogue models were too big for me, since Casioak I've been waiting for the one to be just right for me and this is it. I like the positive display, nylon strap metal case, but most important there is good legibility of the hands and indices, and finally it looks great too 😎
I loved the gshock look but never could use them because of the size as well. When the metal gst series with thinner and smaller bodies came out, I bought it, but still a bit big. This new Casioak is the perfect match for me. I took it on my safari trip in Africa and received a ton of compliments. People thought it costs many times more than it actually does. The legibility is awesome but you gotta see those metal indices glow in sunlight against that black dial. One of the ladies in my group showed me the black diamonds jewelry she bought (for quite a bit of money). I took one look and thought "my $200 watch looks 10x better" lol. To each their own of course. I had never seen a black diamond so I had to check it out.
I bought a metal bracelet from aliexpress. Had high hopes but, while it looks OK, it was too sharp. I hated the weight as well. You can see some pics here: ibb.co/gmrNYSH ibb.co/8g4dXth
@@eugenebach5421 I tried my 22mm nato strap and it didn't fit but glad yours did. It's an awesome watch. I moved onto a few others but just got a new favorite to fit it so I'm wearing it again. :)
I bought one from aliexpress and it looks OK. However, it's too sharp and the metal band is too heavy. I took it off almost immediately. Hoping to find a better one. I added links in video description to show pictures with the metal band.
The Chinese strap is 20mm. Wait until you see the new strap I have on it. It looks like this amzn.to/3x9Hz5o. I bought it for my Galaxy watch 6 but adapted it for my Casioak. It's very comfortable and looks awesome with this watch.
Just different colorways if you're talking about gm2100 models. This one is the most legible because of the steel indices on black dial. The GA2100 models are plastic.
Opinions being what they are, this is the worst looking CasiOak thus far. It looks ridiculous on the nato strap, making the case hover unnaturally above the wrist because the case has no weight. It also looks terrible on the canvas strap in that it looks like an aftermarket swap. No, the best looking CasiOak is mine: the GM2100-1ADR. It looks even better after I modded it with the SKXMOD Offshore case and bracelet.
😁 The nice thing with this hobby is you have a ton of variety. There's something for everyone. The 1ADR is nice. I got the midnight fog version bc it's like the 1ADR but with a chocolate tone. Anyhow, I swapped to a tan leather band now and am loving the look. Still don't like the band converter but couldn't find a good alternative, yet.
@@eugenebach5421 I own the GM-2100-1ADR. The watch is perfect right out of the tin box - it sits perfectly and looks great. But, while a NATO strap is a versatile and utilitarian strap for many watches, not every case is complimented by that strap. Particularly, when a case is lacks lugs and has to have a conversion fitment attached to accommodate a conventional strap - AND someone decides to put a NATO strap on top of that - it becomes a frankenwatch nightmare. It's like putting hubcaps on a (insert your favourite car model) - you don't do it. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Now, if G-Shock decides to design a watch that utilises a two-piece nylon strap and looks, for all intents and purposes, like a NATO strap - then sure, I think that would look good and be an acceptable choice.
Yes It is best looking casioak so far.
Best looking metal casioak.
This Casioak is one of the best for legibility. It really needs the Tough Solar Bluetooth module, then it would be perfect. Agree with you about adding Saphire.
doesn't it already have the tough solar bluetooth? But yes the reason it has no sapphire is why i haven't bought one.

Hi, is the black striped nato strap on gshock 22mm?
I got the 2100c ..its amazing..Can you give the buying link of the aftermarket black and grey strap..
Here you go: amzn.to/3PGZve2
Also try this one. It can be adapted to the Casioak amzn.to/3x9Hz5o
@@ZERO_SVNthose straps come in 20 and 22, did you use an adaptor for one of them? Which size did you use?
Did you change the original adapter to install the nato strap.if not do you think a more thicker nato strap will go through it?
I'm very curious as to how this 2100 would look with a steel/titanium bracelet...

Great !👍
Is there a different strap for it? Im not a big fan of that fibre armband.
Can you give the link of strap, the yellow and black one
Got the same watch and loving it! What was the width on your nato strap?

Hey, can you suggest to me any high quality steel or titanium bracelet option for this 2100 Casio Oak model?

Size of your wrist? Thanks. Looks good
6.5" on the small side but it's mine 😊
what strap width fits this?
20mm
I have it on a version of this strap (amzn.to/3x9Hz5o) now.
Always leave your sola watches in light when not wearing. It’s better for the longevity of the capacitor. Like the one.
