That awkward moment when you take over 3 minutes to get the back off (took me 30 seconds). The rest of the video was helpful as I didn't really know what to do so thanks. Next time try fast forwarding the first bit ;)
You changed the board, did not "replace charging port". Not a technician, just a parts changer. Do some SMD rework, and then you can call yourself a technician. Can squeeze the connector if its loose/has a 'sweet spot' where it works.
The first three minutes of this video is absurdly unnecessary. Watch the first thirty seconds if you need and then Jump to 2:59 ( or if you know how to get the back panel on start there)
It's very clear but a little commentary might have been good. Helps to know what you're going to do next. :-)
where can i buy this part in the UK? my charging port only works at certain angles and it is frustrating!
Where did you find your replacement board from?

how do i know if it's a problem with the charging port or the battery? thanks.
Emil's Capers what is the problem
So you assume here that the whole card is going to be replaced. Most people are trying to solder a new one on the same old card.
