@@djbeatz3 that isn't the kind of cat litter I was talking about. Did you see that I specified the clear/crystal kind? It is silica. That is what's in those desiccant packets.
I love the title and subject of this video! This is excellent creating. I have been looking for content that is an example of something that is not clickbait or stupid. Congratulations on being one of not many who are the best.
I dried things out (cell phones included) by finding a air tight vessel and fashioning a vacuum chamber using a vacuum pump used the AC repair/installation. The moisture will boil off due to the evacuation of all gases by the pump.
Then a time portal opened up and shot into the past where various photos were taken of people trying to use it without towers. Don't take your cell phone into the past with you. They won't work.
I lived in Dublin for most of the 70’s. We spent St. Pat’s day by going to Mass in the morning, buying some shamrock from the little old lady outside the church, then going for a ride in the Wicklow mountains, stopping for lunch, often in the garden of a nice pub, it being early spring. In the evening, we would go to a pub where there was good music. We never went to the, then, small parade. That was for tourists.
Patrick was a member of the Celtic culdee church. From his surviving writings, we can deduce that his beliefs were Bible centred. There is no evidence that he took part in a mass. In fact, the Celtic church was far removed from the errors of Rome.
Rice actually is a factor is removing liquid from cell phone, iPads and the like, but not as most think. You cannot use long or short grain rice, as they do put off far too much dust and will damage the circuitry. Instead make you use ‘Sticky’, Asian Rice, I have great success with Korean Rice. Then put it in a food sealer, I use a FoodSaver®️. Step 1: I make a bag. Step2: Fill it about 2/3 of way with the ‘Sticky’ Rice. Step 3: Lay the bag of ‘Sticky’ Rice on its side. Step 4: Insert the iPhone (my model, though friends have used various other models) in to the bag, in the rice with the ports facing the opening of the bag. Step 5: Insert the bag into the FoodSaver®️. Step 6: Start the cycle and let it run. Step 7: Set the bag aside for 6-8 hours. Occasionally, the process must be repeated. The success rate has been 100% for me and all those whom I know that have used this method.
And if you drop your phone in the toilet and put it in a bag full of rice, you can use the rice for cooking after your phone is dried out. Waste not, want not.
I remember reading one time that a letter exists in which Abner Doubleday tells someone about a game he learned while on holiday somewhere. He may have brought baseball to the US, but he learned of it somewhere else. He did not invent it.
Objects fall at the same speed regardless of their mass. Try dropping a 2 kg ball and a 4 kg ball. They will hit the ground at (*almost) exactly the same time. *Any difference is a result of friction against the air; it's NOT because one has 2X the mass.
I'm obsessed with coffee to a certain degree so I did know about coffee "cherries" I just found out about blonde coffee having more caffeine in it than dark roast. I prefer the dark roast flavor though.
@@Maven0666 I saw it on a video and of course my brain doesn't remember where. I will look. It said that roasting does something to the caffeine and blond doesn't destroy it.
@@Maven0666according to taste of home website. "In general, lighter roasts and cold brews have more caffeine. So if you need to a big jolt of energy, try a cold brew made with a blonde roast. If you need a more mild lift, darker roasts brewed with a regular drip coffee maker will do you just fine."
If silica gel is not available, sugar is also a good absorbant. Do not put your phone directly in sugar but put the sugar in coffee filters or tea baggies.
The "cellphone in rice" actually does work. At least it did for me. Back in July of 2013, I was in my bass boat out on the lake one day and accidentally left the rear live well aeration pump on and it overflowed into the "glovebox" between the two seats. Which is where I kept my iPhone 4 that day. When I went to check the time and for missed calls/texts, I realized my phone was under about 5" of water. I quickly removed it, and quickly wrapped it tightly in a towel. I did not push any buttons or the screen bcuz I knew that any touch "command would cause an electrical charge to flow and probably result in shorting out the board and frying the circuitry. I got back to my apartment about 2 hrs later (4;30p), stuffed it down deep into a half-full box of rice, and left it there until I got up the next morning around 7a to go to work. Before I left, I put it on the charger until I got home later on that day. When I got home, I tried to turn it on and low and behold it powered up. The only lasting sign it had been submersed was the camera was looked a little bit cloudy but overall it was fine. The cloudiness went away 3 days later. The reason I was so desperate to save the phone was because it was my g/f's that she gave to me because I wanted another iPhone after my 3GS was stolen, and she wanted to upgrade to a Samsung Galaxy S3. She passed away two weeks prior to this incident and my phone had a lot of pictures of me and her together. So, to me, I felt since I couldn't save her, I HAD to save that phone. Man, grief makes you rationalize things in some strange, inexplicable ways sometimes.
An obscure one: Diana Ross discovered the Jackson Five. In reality, Motown producer Bobby Taylor discovered the Jackson Five. It was he who brought the group to the attention to Motown president Berry Gordy.

About rainbows ... did you know that the sky within the arc of a rainbow is brighter than the sky outside? This is because the rainbow is actually a diffracted surface image of the sun. I suspect that dolphins are all too similar to people. Sure, there are plenty of nice friendly dolphins, but there are also plenty of nasty, evil ones.
That's bizarre. Everybody - except you, apparently - knows that dogs sweat through their tongues. I've been hearing and reading that and believing that since WWII.

#11. In the absence of atmosphere ALL objects, regardless of their mass, fall at the same speed. This was demonstrated by one of the Apollo astronauts, standing on the moon, dropping a rock and a feather at the same time.
The Spanish flu was called that because Spain was the only country that the media couldn't be controlled so when they reported it in their news, people jumped to the most logical conclusion . In fact it was first noticed in Chinese laborers that were shipped across Canada to work in the war effort . When they opened the boxcars many were sick or dying , they shipped the live ones . I don't know but I'll bet they originated in the same area that gave us the black death and cvid . They had so many deaths once it got going that they couldn't allow the enemy to find out their weakness , war correspondents were forbidden to report on it . Very interesting story if you want to dig a little .
# 17 At one time Catholics referred to Protestants as "snakes." Patrick's preaching converted so many to Catholicism, it is in this sense he "drove the snakes out of Ireland."
What they call protestantism began in the Christ Era (CE) right after Christ rose to heaven. Catholicism made it seem like they were the first church. Catholicism came after.
@@bkThund3r No. Christianity was the first church, Catholicism came second and Protestantism third. Protestantism tells us what it is in its name: it was a protest against the theology and authoritarianism of the Roman Catholic Church. The closest we have gotten to the early church is when Pentecostalism first started after the Azusa Street Revivals (1906-1915). The churches were independent house meetings which stressed fellowship, Bible study, and worship over ritual and routine, exactly what the early church did. Unfortunately, those churches were the forebears of the evangelical megachurches that are ruining Christianity now.
I hate it when people use tallest and highest as if they are the same thing . They are not! Mount Everest is the highest mountain on earth, it's just not the tallest. I'm not taller than my friends just because I'm standing on a ladder. I'm just higher. So no, Mauna Kea is NOT higher than Mt. Everest. It is taller, but not higher.
I do phone repairs. If you drop your phone in water, keep it still and do not move it around a lot, if there is standing water in the phone that has not damaged the mother board yet and you move the phone around a lot, in and out of your pocket, the water will move around and eventually damage the motherboard. Keep it as still as possible and take it to a reliable repair shop that will open it up and try to absorb as much of the water as possible and let it air out
Saw a whole, circular rainbow once. Parked in back lot of community college bldg that had entrance into 2nd floor. First floor had yard outside to the left. Bottom of rainbow touched yard with regular arch showing above. I'll never forget it. Six layers of "rainbows" in circle.
No, all OBJECTS fall at the same speed, if you eliminate wind resistance. Regardless of mass. Newton calculated that, and Buzz Aldrin demonstrated it by taking a feather and a hammer to the Moon and dropping them. They both fell at the same speed and hit the ground together. He did it on the Moon because there's no air.
If you can get your nose close to it and it doesn't have hair, it's probably ok to eat! You would be surprised how long things actually stay good past their "best before " date. I think sometimes they put that on there so you will buy it more often.
'Sell by', 'best before' and 'expiry' dates are quite arbitrary guidelines (rules of thumb) with no scientific basis. How long food lasts depends entirely on the conditions under which it is stored.
If you're taking about a man who may or may not have existed, and if he did - did NOT have any supernatural "powers" you can fuck off.its about time we quit using this ridiculous before Christ bullshit.
The “Spanish” flu actually originated in MidWestern USA. It was a form of bird flu, transmitted from wild birds, like ducks, to domesticated ducks, to human handlers. The human handlers ie young male farm hands, enlisted in the army and went to boot camp i; the eastern and southern States. Where the initial fever and contagion established itself. Then, they shipped out to the European theatre of war. The deaths began during the initial transfer, but intensified during trench warfare and passed to the general public during hospitalisation and general leave. The Spanish flu was American.
I read in some long lost article that they believe it may have started simultaneously in the US and in Europe. Now that I'm seeing this I'm thinking it was probably just how the US government attempted to avoid responsibility or sole responsibility for such a devastating pandemic.
To dry a cell phone: Place the phone in a sock. Duct tape the sock to the end of your vacuum cleaners hose. Let the vacuum run on blow for an hour. I would recommend doing this outside or in a garage due to the noise. 13:45

Dolphins are our friends, just because they have enemies that they kill doesn't mean that they'll want to kill us too. They are learning to take over the oceans like we took over the lands
A Porpoise is only one third the size of an adult Dolphin and hardly represents an 'enemy' But if you think getting a bone crushing ramming by a dolphin travelling at about the speed of a torpedo then getting tossed 30ft into the air 'being friends' then sure. ok.

@@djbeatz3 that isn't the kind of cat litter I was talking about. Did you see that I specified the clear/crystal kind? It is silica. That is what's in those desiccant packets.
Smart
any good desiccant would do. Silica gel is pretty cheap.

Twinkies..... In 1922 when Carter opened the 5,000 year old tomb of King Tut, he found the Boy King's still edible stash of Twinkies. 😅
Fact!
I dried things out (cell phones included) by finding a air tight vessel and fashioning a vacuum chamber using a vacuum pump used the AC repair/installation. The moisture will boil off due to the evacuation of all gases by the pump.
That sounds complicated.
Then a time portal opened up and shot into the past where various photos were taken of people trying to use it without towers. Don't take your cell phone into the past with you. They won't work.

Hi Mike! I've missed you. I've been out of the loop. I didn't know until now that you're back on List 25. Awesome sauce!
I sure am! Welcome back to you too!
Everyone knows that the moment you start a sentence with "Everyone knows ..." it's got to be false.
oh, a paradox!
I think he meant objects at the same height? Anyway, he was wrong about the mass thing.
Galileo showed this using a large and a small iron ball. Dropped at the same time they hit the ground at the same time.
When you were talking about the coffee beans it reminded me to tell you that you should look into the way that cashews are grown lol
I'm obsessed with coffee to a certain degree so I did know about coffee "cherries" I just found out about blonde coffee having more caffeine in it than dark roast. I prefer the dark roast flavor though.
Can you believe the light colored coffee has more caffeine?
@@Maven0666 I saw it on a video and of course my brain doesn't remember where. I will look. It said that roasting does something to the caffeine and blond doesn't destroy it.
@@Maven0666according to taste of home website. "In general, lighter roasts and cold brews have more caffeine. So if you need to a big jolt of energy, try a cold brew made with a blonde roast. If you need a more mild lift, darker roasts brewed with a regular drip coffee maker will do you just fine."
Great content and presentation. 🇦🇺 😊
I did know about coffee cherries. But my dad used to work for a gourmet coffee company
You can also just set it on the counter with a fan blowing on it overnight
Shouldn't have left it plugged in unattended though
Amazing facts well said sir 😊
An obscure one: Diana Ross discovered the Jackson Five. In reality,
Motown producer Bobby Taylor discovered the Jackson Five. It was he who brought the group to the attention to Motown president Berry Gordy.
Their first hit was written by an English man called Micheal ( Mike) Jackson. In the Uk the Jackson 5 and Mike Jackson both had versions of the record in the charts at the same time, The Jackson 5 version reached a higher position but not by much.
A friend of mine took a photo of a full-circle rainbow, as viewed from an airplane
About rainbows ... did you know that the sky within the arc of a rainbow is brighter than the sky outside?
This is because the rainbow is actually a diffracted surface image of the sun. The rainbow being the edge. It's also why a complete ranbow is a full circle, which occasioanlly can be seen from an airplane.
I was out motorcycling with a friend and we passed through a cloud burst of rain showers. The elevation where we were allowed me to see a double circular rainbow. It was so stunning I jad to pull over to enjoy the grandure of it.

# 17 At one time Catholics referred to Protestants as "snakes." Patrick's preaching converted so many to Catholicism, it is in this sense he "drove the snakes out of Ireland."
The "snakes" he drove out were the pagan Druids. No such thing as a protestant in the 4th century CE.
Protestants didn't come on the scene until the 1500's, 500-600 years after St. Patrick was alive.
@@richardderuiter4612 Your timing is a bit off. Patrick was around 400 CE so more like 1100 years before Martin Luther and the start of Protestantism.
