The Worst Museums in Stockholm

- Stockholm has around 100 museums, with 9 million visitors per year. Some of these museums are fantastic places to visit, like the Vasa Museum, the Medieval Museum or the Museum of Technology. However, some museums...are not.
I've searched far and wide for the worst museums in Stockholm, and in this video I tell you what you can expect from the top five of my picks. Or the bottom five, I should say.
The museums I list in this video are, in no particular order:
The Museum of Economy (Ekonomiska museet)
The National Sports Museum (Riksidrottsmuseet)
The Strindberg Museum (Strindbergsmuseum)
Tumba Hand Paper Mill Museum (Tumba bruksmuseum)
The Swedish Museum of Laundry (Hagalunds tvätterimuseum)
There were a couple of more museums that I believe could have been great contenders for this list, but I couldn't visit them right now for various reasons. These museums are:
The Museum of Dentistry
The Museum of Visually Impaired
The Plumbing Museum
It's a pity that I missed such...interesting...museums, but I hope this still gives you an amusing insight into alternative museums in Stockholm.

Another great video. Made me chuckle. I managed to miss all of them on my recent visit. Thank God! You can’t beat Vasa.
I’m off to Copenhagen next month so I’ll be checking your vids out for that. Anyway, keep up the great work. Top channel. 👍
Oh wow, thank you! Much appreciated! :D And good thing you stuck to the Vasa instead of these.. Copenhagen will probably be amazing right now! It'll be full of summer activities - hope you'll have a wonderful time there!
if the museum for the visualy impared is anything like "osynlig utställning" or "the invisible exhibition" it´s freaking a-mazing! One hour in complete darkness with a visualy impared guide, going through challenges that occurs in the daily environment and some other surprises!
Great video!
Oh! That does sound really cool! I tried "Svartklubben" once, a dinner in complete darkness. That was also...very strange, but really fun and interesting. Thanks for the hint!
And thank you! :D
My favorite is the laundry museum. You have interesting ideas for your videos and I like the presentation.!
Thank you! :D Haha, I can't really say that the museum was any good...but it was really fun to visit all of these places! :)
I guess I could be persuaded to go to the Economy Museum but I draw the line at the Laundry Museum! hahaha. Nice vlog!
Thanks! Haha, I feel pretty much the same way - but the Economy Museum was really tiny! It's perfectly fine...to spend 15 minutes at...
I’m visiting next week, I’ve very much enjoyed your Stockholm guides!
Thank you! :D And oh, it seems like we might have some rain waiting for you then... But there's still museums and restaurants and whatnot to enjoy despite that!
This is crazy funny! I’ll stick with the museums on my itinerary for my upcoming trip. Tack.
What, didn't I convince you to add some new museums to the list?! I'm shocked! :D Cheers!
Funny video!! After going to the economy Museum and the sport museum I would start drinking heavily. But then I’m sure alcohol there is very expensive in Scandinavian 😂😂😂
How do you think I managed to get through all of these museums? There's no cost too high for some good old coping mechanism after all of this :D
Well, you have the Alcohol museum next to the Vasa Museum... They say it's boring, but noone seems to remember their visit... ;-)
At Skansen, you have the Tobacco and Matches museum, but that's actually a bit interesting.
😂 great video! Informational and funny!
Thank you! Haha maybe informational about what not to visit at least :D
Very interesting. Thank you.
Thank you so much! :D
You missed the dance museum, Julita gård, Tyresö Slott, The music museum, the architect museum and Svindersvik.. You could make a part two! ;-)
Oh! That's a really brilliant idea :D Thank you! I'm noting these museums and will think about what more I could show :D
@@ThreeStarVagabond It would actually be hilarious if you went to a museum that sounded boring - and it turned out to be really interesting and good. I don't think it will happen, but it would be funny.
Perhaps a visit to the laundry museum should be mandatory punishment for anyone who violates tvättstuga etiquette.
Yes! When an angry note doesn't work, you get sent directly to the laundry museum instead
The plumbing museum! Would “love” to take my class there. 😳🤣
Especially as a surprise, right! "Come on kids, pack your stuff! We're heading off for a special field trip! *giggle*"
@@ThreeStarVagabond How long has Sweden been "piped" ?
@@ciprianpopa1503 I actually have no idea! :D
We have a pencil museum in the Uk. Exciting stuff 😊
Gotta see that pencil museum some day... Sounds absolutely riveting :D
Laundry is big thing in Sweden, communal laundry room makes laundry day special event.
I actually have a combined washer / drier in my tiny apartment now... I never want to go back to having to book laundry times and go to the basement again! :D
Helpfull good video
Thank you so much!
Laundry museum I would like to see. And the museum of swedish underwear would find a fan in me.
I have to admit that even my sister who has some quite geeky interests said that the laundry museum looked really boring... But it's good that there are people of all tastes! :D
Wow!
