Easily one of my favorite stories not just in Warhammer but in general. The calm yet still zealous tone you gave Uriah(love his name). It’s hauntingly beautiful.
The poetic irony of this bit. Uriah is speaking to the emperor of his first encounter with the emperor, not knowing he's talking to the same person who he thought was god almighty
Also ironic the Emperor swears he isn't a god, yet anyone that interacts with him directly pre- and post- heresy all clearly describe him as a god, even Roubutte Gulliman
To feel the raw emotion, to see that single tear, there is no truer expression of the craft of storytelling than that. I am in awe of your dedication and passion. BRAVO SIR!
I love how this story show the sheer power and brutality of the thunder warriors and how the emperor tries to show a understanding but he shows he doesnt understand one human emotion faith
That was amazing, even got the tears. You can tell when he's in character. He feels it. Voice acting is too little for him. This man's future is bright.
@@kainuscorevax3875I think that’s why even this specific description is even worse. It wasn’t even like real war, it was so much worse than that. The Thunder Warriors surpassed even normal war because of how dramatically one sided it was. The chainswords and bolsters, much their intention, made the term “meat grinder” of war more accurate
This is a fantastic piece of work and voice acting 👍🏻. And it's such a sad story! The whole faith and life of this priest was only a missunderstandig of his rescue by the emperor 😢. And the most ironic thing is, that nearly 12.000 years later the emperor is becoming really a god!
I’d love to see you as Lorgar in amazon warhammer adaptation. No offence, I know how people feel about Lorgar, but that voice of yours is captivating, and that was his whole thing.
Uriah was the name of Uriah the Hittite the foreign soldier king David sent to die to get with his wife who he knocked up. its my favorite old testament story and a fitting name for the last church
That was so impactful. Thank you. Side note there is a storyteller who goes by the moniker baldimort. With a heavy focus on 40k. He speaks with a passion and a depth much like your own. I think you him and his daughter could make beautiful work together if time would permit.
The Emperor's "Glamour" ability warps what you see when you look upon the Master of Mankind. So he saw what he wanted to see, so he saw a "god" in the Emperors image.
the most glorious moment in the emperors story. i look forward to Terras real last church. divinity is mankinds blight. RELIGION IS HERESY. THE EMPEROR PROTECTS
Still believe Uriah got saved in some way by the Gods when he walked in the burning church. Real gods as he wanted, granting a chance to the last priest in Terra, and giving a giant middle finger to the Emperor in the process, both of them.
@@bloodraven1190 The gods are very real in Warhammer 40k, and depending on how you understand the rules of the warp, they may even be needed for humanity to have its full range of emotions and drives

Geez, way to spoil the end.
@@DeadBaron I find it hard to believe that the Emperor doesn't do it on purpose. Like his entire image is set up to make people worship him

Wow, thank you!
That's a real tear-jerker. "Why do you deny me?"
Knowing who it is, and who Uriah _thinks_ it is.
The Last Church is the story I recommend to anyone who isn't sure about 40k. It's such a good story.
It is, to this day, my favorite piece of 40k fiction. For so many reasons.
Emperor: “I don’t want you guys to think I’m God or anything.”
Also the Emperor:
I love the last church, it's a hood classic
My god. the visceral voice, the emotions. you are one of a kind Voice actor. None like you.

Thank you for your kind words! Glad you enjoyed it.
And the God emperor wonders why he is called that.
Every child is raised by an older child, All are children before the Master of Mankind.
True
A beautiful reading a classic. The tear was an amazing touch.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Mechanized Butchery has such a horrible weight to it
It's a good name for real war. Outside of all the stories, and poetry about war. Real war is not glorious.
All large scales war after WW1. It was the first real war of Mechanised butchery.

Good god man, that was absolutely beautiful. You truly do the emperor’s work, by doing Uriah justice here. Seriously, that is absolutely amazing.
Thank you so much 😀
One of the best 40k books
Oh boy! The Last Church. Love that story. And the Voice Acting is phenomenal.
Thank you!

Great work as always. I'd love to hear you do one of the speeches from The Legacy of Kain games
To be honest you should do old and new testament verses as well. It would be awes to hear them with your skilled voice
Speech recommendations can be sent to tiktokspeeches@gmail.com just so I can keep track of them. Thanks!
Goddam, just...*chefs kiss*

its refreshing to hear the thoughts of a normal man gaze upon the master of mankind
I don't even have to play the video to know this is a master class voice acting performance and have already hit like. 6:00

Wish you'd gone for the ending, but great work as always. Emperors, eh? At least the fucker had a plan and wanted good things.

If god is real, that is the worst possible outcome ever.
The last church was lighting in a bottle. Sadly GW hasn't been able to write a decent story for a while
