Challenge the Wild bro I need ur help with sponsors and subscribers and shoutout for my channel got any ideas
Challenge the Wild how do u get sponsored can u help me
Challenge the Wild or can u shout me out
Very cool. You can put a drop of vegetable food coloring in your flow to see where and how fast it's going.
I had considered doing something like this while building a paludarium..but I went ahead and built one out of a cobalt powerhead and a 6" pipe + sponges/ceramics. For the past year I have been working toward converting my tanks to DIY mattenfilters, starting with a 20L 2 years ago, then made one for the new 65g (you can see it on my channel) and I could not be happier. In decades of fish keeping - so far it is the most efficient and easiest care.
Yah love the vdeo.n ilike u so handsome 😘
I was so excited when you first unwrapped that filter thingy. Then, the longer I watched the video, the less I wanted one!
if my filter was farting every second i would drown myself in the aquarium
Nice filter and looks great. I am a big fan of overhead filters since the are easy to build and cheaper to run without any risk of overflowing. I built mine using tool tray and is working great. Thanks for sharing and it definitely worth an investment.
Awww it's adorable how excited you are! Pretty cool thanks for your videos
I love watching your videos man keep it up you rock and I love the fish you have and hope one day to meet you and see the fidh you have and I love learning all about the different types of fish and tank design 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
awe thanks so much and ayyy :D
I really like that you take time to build these things yourself. Most people would just pay the money to get one new. Great video!
Thanks yeah it was sad it didnt work when i first got it but the diy way worked well :D
Great setup dude!
Cool! Really clever lol...im gonna try this in my 10 gallon! Btw can't wait for the unveiling of the new fish room!! Lol
Add awe thanks so much :D, its gonna be awesome
That’s dope man
Thanks so much :)
You put a lot of effort in your videos and i appreciate that. I can tell you really enjoy this hobby buy dont have the decades in it that some of us do, which is fine, we all had day 1 lol, point is, its like watching myself have all these ideas for my tanks and changing this n that and building this, its a lot of fun brother, keep up the A+ content!
Nice vid man! That’s such a cool filtration setup!
Thanks so much :D
Thats cool man, I need to get one of those. That tank is looking really good. 😁😎
Thanks so much its so awesome!!!
Always fun to watch you and i learn a lil somethin, almost at 50k!very impressive😊
Thanks for the video, just ordered one which is disappointing that it will take a month to arrive.
I was wondering if your setup was right, it seemed to me that you are only to use one filter pad and have the rest as spare’s, I might be wrong, but I assumed that the one filter pad goes into the small chamber next to where the water comes in.
I love your videos i have seen them all and I can't wait for more videos
Ayyy thanks so much :) I can’t wait 2
Been looking for this for ages.brought one just waiting for it .cool vid
Fun Small Project! 🐠🐠👍👍👍
Love these last couple of days your videos are awsome
awe thanks so much :)
I’m going to make a filter . Thanks for the video!
I love your videos it is very inspiring and that filter is the bos I'm buying myne now...
#inspired
#you_are_the_real_deal!!
awee thanks so much and awesome! It is pretty cool!!!
Wow definitely need this.. thanks james
Yeah its too cool!!
Challenge the Wild you have inspired me to start my own tanks
I bought the same. Pump not strong enough to make a flow. Fix it by turning it on 1st before putting in water. Works like charm.
Kinda new to this hobby im setting up my betta bowl and was wondering if it would be big enough for a great white shark?
Is it good enough for a 60 gallon tank?
bro keep up the great videos your doing good you inspired me to get my first fish tank which is coming pretty soon.
Awe thanks so much and awesome!!!!
ya its a 20 gallon long and its gonna be a community tank with my favorite fish a albino brittleness Pleco. 8)
Cool video❤️Keep it up boy 👍
I have a trickle filter
Brilliant! Nice Video :)
Hello! I have a 20 gallon with two Platies and three female betas, do you think I can add a small blue ram Cichlid with them or 2? I need help to know if it’s okay to do please!!
Very nice multi stage filter you have got there . Your air lift pump is best and adequate for running it as you also have tiny baby fish in your system. And it also looks cool . Slower flow rate makes it easier for biomedia to process nitrogenous wastes from fish water . Over all very good
You have a great channel going! Dont let the haters get to you
Thanks for showing us this - 've been looking at those filters and wondered if they were any good :)
They look pretty cool
Is there anywhere I can buy just the airline filter stem attachment you ducktaped on?
Hello Mate! well done fr your vids! i wish you can hel me where did you buy those aquarium lights RGBW?
sup dude, what does the corals do and can i use it in both freshwater and saltwater tanks?
a plastic small shower caddy with holes on the bottom works great for pothos and other plants, the roots grow through the bottom and into your aquarium with the rest of the plant above the water,
I can relate to that frustration of doing over again things that don’t work the way you want it to work on your aquarium, until you get your desired thing to happen. New subscriber by the way.
You’re my biggest inspiration bro.
Ayyy i always love your comments :D
Just Dab my God, that is frightening if your biggest inspiration is a fish keeping enthusiast teenager who bought a crappy filter, gushes over it, can’t make it work, tapes it up to make it work, and calls this a diy project. Please visit a library near you and learn about the world for more inspiration.
I just watch your video about your new filter system and you had problem with the pump. I like to get one for my guppies tank. First is it good for a 10 gallon tank and would I will have the same problem with the pump if I get one . 🇵🇷🐟🐠
Whoa! Is it, like, really cool, or what, dude?!!!
Nice video bro👌🏻👌🏻
Tell me that can i put betta and guppies together
efficiency of that filter probably got killed by 90% by substituting the water pump for the air and also putting the whole thing in the water instead of above and out of the water.
That’s super true I guess I’m mainly keeping it for the cool look it adds
at least get it out of the water so you can get that waterfall look you wanted. waterfall might not be as torrential with the air pump, but it'll at least be a waterfall. instead of hanging it from the tank, you could try placing a long piece of wood (1x3 or 1x4) across the top of the tank and set the filter on top of the wood. long pieces of wood are a couple bucks at home depot, maybe you might have something else already that might work for the same purpose.
Flow has nothing to do with filtration.. high flow is actually a gimmick to make up for poor filtration. Filtration is about contact time (dwell time) with media.. prime example of this is seachem denitrate. 99.9% of people don’t understand that true denitrification can occur with any media in any filter the key is reduced flow. Now being driven by air is semi counter productive as well for denitrification but extremely efficient nitrification. It’s why wet dry and moving bed filters are so efficient at nitrifying. Bacteria need oxygen too. The key to denitrification is lack of oxygen which is normally accomplished by moving water slowly over media with nitrifying bacteria as they use up all the oxygen first. This is the only way to create a full cycle in freshwater systems.
I actually think this is an interesting little filter.. I would be inclined to put nothing but fine sponge packed into every chamber to drastically increase dwell time. By the time it hits the last chamber or possibly two you could actually achieve denitrification although due to capacity the results would be limited.. using regular sump type setup in miniature fashion you could actually likely use this gimmicky filter to filter up to 60g or so. The tank would need good wave makers for circulation to compensate but this isn’t a horrible idea or filter.
Challenge the Wild just get a new pump, the waterfall will be much stronger with it. It's like 10$
Fish R Relaxing better flow just makes for better gas exchange and for bigger aquariums would you really want to keep such a small filter on your tank? Water changes will do the majority of the cleaning of course but in between those weekly water changes you want your water to be well circulated and oxygenated right?
I have sumps in most of my fresh water and hang on too but I like the sump more because it requires less maintenance and it’s also very quiet
I bought the exact same thing, I believe that the pump is not working because it needs 220v, but the US is only 120v. I just bought a much higher GPM pump and use different size tubes to connect them all together and it works great.
Did the fish in that tank die shortly after? You didn't rinse the ceramic at all and there was so much dust
Good review .was nice to show us that the pump is junk and the hang on the back hooks should of been designed different..I would say the only thing it is good for would be plants .i would add this to the junk pile for future videos .
Thanks lol and thats true, ill probably get bamboo for it
what is the size? were i can buy that sump
Your my favorite fish youtuber
Ayyy thanks so much :D
That would work great with Dr. Kovacs Anoxic filter system, do yourself a favor and look into it. You could even put plants in that, pretty cool.
Cool
Thanks so much :)
Nice video man u make me have a smile in my face when I bored is it k if u can get some fidler crabs hope you do and if u are able to and u will get some they need water and land k
Cool video
That’s so much :)
Why do you have a WaveMaker for betta fish??!
Thats perfect for a saltwater hang on refugium.. I'm off to get one.. Thanks
Could u plz share the dimensions of ur tank? The tank which is behind in ur video
how big is your backyard pond? Gallons?
This was a year or two ago. How's the sump now?
Where u buy it from pal
Hi bro..its look awesome. I couldnt find this product online to buy.
Can u pls help me to get one ?
Pls reply stuff available site
Nice..I have seen these on ebay and was wondering about them. By the way who says crackalackin in 2018?
Sweet filter 👍👍 by the way is that my national flag in the background Trinidad and Tobago?
I have a tetra filter 5-15 but I want to get the one you have because I never had one like that so it will be cool
sweet its really cool :D
Challenge the Wild do you know what I can use for my 10 gallon to balance the ph level?
Where do you get one of these?
Is it so cool?
Where do you get those little nano tank lights? Love your vids.
I got those on ebay they are pretty cool
Pretty cool filter... thumbs up for channeling your inner joey... also nice flag
watched in 2021 and ebay referral links are not working
anyone have working links for similar products?
wat is the overall measurement [length] and partition measurement ?
Its like little refuseroum. Fairly easy to make if you have cut up acrylic or right tools
The sand will equalize your tanks ph depending on the sand. Also will trap small particles
Where do you put the snails
Can i get the link for that filter
Aren’t you Corey from family guy? Lol. Anyway thanks for the video i liked it. Shoutout from saudi arabia
Today i got 4 betta and 5 gallon an 10 gallon i got them because you have inspired me to own fish and they are all in their own tank
thats cool :D
Part Two
Plants will root quite happily in 'lava rock' (just ask any hydro grower), without impeding flow as gravel tends to do... A thin layer of substrate around the visible exterior of the Scoria will still keep the aesthetic, which is exactly what I'm planning on doing as soon as I get mine (I'll be ordering one pay-day morning, thing looks awesome);
Lastly, while it's not strictly necessary, your Nitrosomnas and Nitrobacter friends living in the bio-media will appreciate some kind of a light-blocking or dark outer layer as they do prefer it in teh dark...
Phew, okay! Finally done - Just my $2 worth (not 2 cents, jus' 'cause I'm broke don't mean I'm cheap!), hope that was cool, subbed & liked, looking forward to binging the rest of your content... I'm inspired to finish using the repair kit for my kayak trolley and go film some of the river here... When I can afford to finish paying my DSLR back out of hock, or as soon as a Gopro falls out of the sky and hits me on the noggin... You'd love our Ross River, SO much aquatic vegetation, fish, turtles, shrimp, wildlife and birds galore (especially the more secluded parts).
KK, coolios! Keep up the good work.
In what way is this "DIY"?
Watch the vid I had to fix the tube with a Diy method
Dumbass Ignorant Youth? This video is embarrassing
He "...channeled that emotion..." DYI duct tape, bailing wire, and bubble gum. Could he talk any faster? Something is better than nothing.....but it's cool. Challenger
hes diy ordering stuff
Wait... so what youre saying is that i shouldnt but the one that comes with tje pump?
Probably unless you have an alternative it might have just been a mess up with my setup
Challenge the Wild i already have a pump.. think i might just use the one i have and save alittle money..
I have a 55 gallon goldfish tank with three hang on back filters and a bucket filter
I have a 10 gallon tank with modified cartridge submerged filter for a grow out with my goldfish the filter isn't good enough I just have to do more water changes.
And I have a 10 gallon tank with mollies and an air pump, my first batch of baby mollies that sucked up into the filter even though I had a sponge covering the front but there was a small space and some of them got through so I just remove the filter. I mean I only have 3 mollies in a 10 gallon tank the tank is more than enough filtration.
whats with Trinidadian flag behind your 60 gallon tank ???? im from Trinidad btw
I’m loving the Trinidad and Tobago flag in the background, I might try one of those filters I like the look of it
I have the piece of tubing to my little filter that came with my tank
I got a internal sump filter with Mechanical, chemical and biological filtration on my 35gal tank
How old did you stared fish keeping?
15 i think lol
So like 6 mths then ?? 😊
Hey if you actually want to use this thing and run it off air get a swisstrpoicals jetlift tube. it can move a LOT of water and handle some head height.
Doesn't the duct tape adhesive leach chemicals into the water? and its not sealed properly thats why its all choppy and pulsating.
Bubbles going out the bottom is lost flow. Need to put the air outlet higher in the tube.
you want the outlet tube up top OUT of the water, to let the bubbles out before the water.
This is all proof of theory anyway, and looks like that multi-tier filter will be really good
Geez! What work! But this filter is So Impressive looking! Cool job getting it to work! ✨👍😎👍😍💕🌈💕✨#Challenger
Are u from trinidad
don't worry, i watched everything...it was messy but great because you personally did it...good thing you're cute, peace haha
Aweee thank you! Here is an early link to my new video! ruclips.net/video/3vFl7RtUhDQ/видео.html
I got ripped off by this same fricken filter a couple months ago. My pump also broken, hangers also didn't work. I messed with it for an entire weekend and gave up. Its now with all my spare parts and unusable crap. They HAVE changed the hangers now but I think its still garbage. Too bad because it is really neat looking :(
Will you sell it ?
Please link the product location
I need sump!
Give me link pls
good
Nice work bro, isn't better to hide the filtration from the aquarium!!
Part One
G'day mate, how's it goin'?
First up, kudos to ya on havin' nice, clean, clear tanks... Great ta see someone not afraid of maintenance, lol._.
Dunno if anyone's already said (too lazy to read all the comments, me) but here's a few tips that might help out a bit, if it's not too far out of my place to say... Let us know what ya think, yeah? Cheers, bro! Have a good one, eh!!1! Ciao...
The deeper your submersible pump below the waterline, and the closer the outlet to the surface, the better flow you'll get... Shortening head height while increasing intake pressure (check your pump for 'HMAX', you want at least 2 feet and some long toes, as well as the litres per hour you're after (or freedoms per moment, which is the imperial measurement I believe?) lulz |;}
With the mechanical filtration, many find that using filter pads in a course, medium, fine order keeps flow more consistent over time and makes cleaning just a tad easier;
So it’s a mini overhead sump? That’s actually awesome
Wow
Omg I wish I was those plants
A cheap sheet of A/C filter is priceless I have hand sewn custom charcoal packs , and , have used it as filter sponge
Or try Dacron batting from hobby lobby
Or buy a cheap Dacron pillow and pull the stuffing out
What is the name tho.??
