This was Vince Carter's best season with New Jersey Nets IMHO. He was completely robbed from an All-NBA selection. He averaged 25 points, 6 rebounds & 5 assists while playing all 82 games. Only Kobe Bryant & LeBron James averaged 25/6/5 minimum. Vince also led New Jersey Nets to the 6th seed without Richard Jefferson (borderline All-Star level player) for half the season & without Nenad Krstic (the only decent big man the Nets had) for basically the entire season. Obviously, Kobe Bryant & LeBron James were 1st and 2nd team All-NBA but Vince wasn’t even picked to be on the 3rd All-NBA. The New Jersey Nets eliminated Toronto Raptors in the 1st round as the lower seed team & took the eventual NBA Finalist Cleveland Cavaliers to 6 games in the 2nd round. Dwyane Wade made into All-NBA 3rd team while playing just 50 games ffs.

In my opinion, this year (after Orlando) was VC's best chance to win a title. There was no super team like Miami Heat or other dominate teams to face in Playoffs. Some people will disagree with me, but he did not show up against young Lebron. He did not play like a superstar and underperformed. Remind me of his three-headed monster comment in his interview with Stephen A. Smith which he criticized VC for not playing well like a true superstar and for being too nice and humble. Still, love to see his highlights from that yeat. Thx Max!
JavadH yeah he really stunk it up in that series ..very disappointing. He also had a hand injury though so I'm not sure what it was but he was not aggressive at all...and his free throw shooting as abysmal
And they keep on saying that Bum ass Curry came with long distance 3s. This dude VC been shooting Ld 3s since 2k5 -2k6. Crazy how hes not getting recognition on so many moves he brought in the game that these copy cats are doing smh
Believe me, VC was heavily criticized for shooting jumpers, even when he made them. Looking back now it’s funny, if only they knew what direction the league was going
