Taxi should have cost more than 30-100le and that 100 with cover a good distance. If they know your staying in a nice hotel they will try get more money from you. From an airport expect to pay 70-200 maximum, that’s if your not even staying in hurghada 200, 70 within hurghada. Currently Egypt is having a foreign currency shortage and is suffering from hyperinflation. I advise people bring dollars or euros as a go to. Your money will go much further on the black market than via the banks. And everyone be weary of scammers as it’s completely normal 😄 but it’s a beautiful place and you can only be scammed if you allow it. So learn your prices and don’t be fooled guys. Also tipping goes a long way. Another option to stop you from getting overcharged is Uber. You can tell taxi drivers an Uber will do it for half of the price and majority of them will accept half or more of their initial asking price. Another rule if your making an exchange with someone be it in their shop, booking a trip or taxi, never let them know it’s your first time in the country as now your marking yourself 😄 but other than paying little extra for things the people are lovely and very welcoming
My recent experience at Hurghada Airport was nothing short of disgraceful. The behavior of the airport staff was shameless, rude, and racist, leaving me deeply disappointed and infuriated. It is disheartening to witness such underqualified, dim-witted, and corrupt individuals in positions of authority. As Kurds who couldn't speak Arabic fluently because living in Sweden since age of 6, we became the target of the old individual who checked our passports. It seemed like he was envious or harbored some ill feelings towards us. He went out of his way to ensure that we missed our flight, deliberately mispronouncing our names and searching for any excuse to argue with us about trivial matters. He bombarded us with intrusive questions about our father's name, birthplace, and our inability to speak Arabic. After some time, he conveniently pretended to be ignorant of the English language and began interrogating us in Arabic. It was only when someone behind us stepped forward to assist with translation that he shifted his focus to Saddam Hussein, praising him as a great man-ironically, the same man responsible for a genocide against our people. When we confronted him about his behavior, he responded by hurling curses at us in his language. The flight was thankfully delayed or else we would've been stranded thanks to this racist man. Our initial intention had been to help the kind and needy individuals we encountered during our stay, but after enduring such treatment, I can confidently say that I will never set foot in Egypt again. I sincerely hope that the airport authorities take this review seriously and address the abysmal state of affairs. The treatment we received is an embarrassment to the friendly and helpful people we encountered in the city, who truly made our stay amazing. Hurghada Airport must reconsider the hiring and training of its staff if it wishes to maintain any semblance of credibility and hospitality.

I really enjoyed your video, thank you for the detailed review. I'm doing a solo trip to Hurghada soon, is there any advice you have for me as a female traveller, also any tips about going to Cairo, i want to avoid the road trip, heard it's very long.
Thanks for your kind comments. Hurghada is safe for solo female travellers. You just need to watch out for scammers as everyone is trying to overcharge you. Always pay for things using the local currency and use an Uber instead of a Local taxi. I recommend flying to Cairo, instead of travelling by road as it’s more comfortable. Try using EgyptAir to travel from Hurghada to Cairo as their prices are reasonable Please subscribe to my channel if you haven’t 🙏🏾🙏🏾
I've been coming from UK to Egypt for 20 years been living here 7years its a fantastic place far safer than UK just learn before you come, as for taxis get IDrive app for your phone before you come, and buy a Vodafone sim in Hurghada Airport with credit
Hi, I'm going to Hurghada in 10 days. I wonder if the streets are safe for a solo female traveler or not. It's my first time traveling alone, but I've traveled a lot with friends before. I'm both excited and a bit scared at the same time 😅
do a little research & ensure you have the correct amount of dollars for the visa. We have also previously been stung by airport taxis we recomend having a previously paid for service, or if chancing it now that it is available using UBER as the fair is previously agreed & paid electronically.
It all depends on the purpose of your trip. Makady Bay is very artificial, created for tourists. There is a great aquapark, I recommend it. But if you want to see the old town with the souk, the marina, visit a cathedral or see a mosque, see the fish market, that kind of thing, it is better to favor Hurghada itself. Knowing that the city center (Sheraton Road) and Makadi Bay are 30 minutes away by car, you can opt for a hotel on the coast near the Senzo Mall. You will be in the middle in distance and Uber is not expensive to get around. There is also the big Aquarium there, a very nice visit to do. For shopping I recommend the old town (El Dahar) or the city center (Sheraton Road), cheaper than the shops of the hotels, especially in Makadi where it is very expensive.
We're going to Hugarda in May, it's our First time also with 2 young children. Thanks for the info in your vids. Anything we should avoid and any recommendations of things to do has a family. Thanks so much x
I recommend using Uber to travel around as the price is reasonable and the taxi driver wouldn’t cheat you. Hotels and local taxi drivers would overcharge you for using their taxis and sometimes might ask you to pay in foreign currency You need to visit the Marina, the mosque next to the Marina and also El Dahar(Old Town). There is also a lot of water-sports activities you can go on Take about £25 with you, so you can pay for your visa at the airport. The visa is about $25, but it’s good to have a bit more on you
@@DNZAS1979 I will pay in £ or $ for the visa only as the exchange rate at the airport might be ridiculous. Once you are out of the airport, use local currency only for food, taxis and tours Hope this makes sense
Don't use taxis at all. You don't need them. A microbus will take you close enough, no matter where you want to go. And it only costs a few EGP. You just need to know if where you're going is North or South. If you're going West or East, just walk. The town is only about 2 miles wide. I'd only consider even using public transport if going from one part of the town to the other. Consider everything North of the marina and Al Mina mosque, to be one area, and everything South of it to be another. If you want to walk North or South, don't do it on the coast road. Especially if you're staying is Sekalla (The newer part of the city, South of the Al Mina mosque, which is next to the marina) If you use the coast road (Sheraton Road in Sekalla), you'll get approached by a LOT of shopkeepers and street vendors. You can minimize it a bit by walking on the sunny side of the street, but you can eliminate it altogether by just walking one street farther away from the sea. If a child comes up to you, trying to sell you a T-shirt, back away immediately. Make sure there is space between you and them, cus they are using that T-shirt to hide their hand, and they're going to use that hand to pick your pocket. Usually, they do this in pairs and as soon as they have your wallet, they give it to their accomplice, and it's as good as gone. When you pay people, make sure you make it obvious that you know which notes you're giving them, and don't take your eyes off the money. It's mostly taxi drivers who do this. If you look away while they're counting the money, they will switch a 100 for a 10 and say you never gave them enough. Always wash your hands before you eat. And make sure you don't wait until you get thirsty to drink water, or you're gonna have diarrhea. Mostly...stay away from taxis. People will tell you to agree a price before you get in, but the drivers know this, and will often pretend to have misunderstood. It's just not worth the hassle. It's only a mile from the airport to the edge of town and from there, you can take a microbus. They're incredibly cheap. Don't ask for directions. Always look like you know where you're going. If someone helps you, they will expect something from you. If you're with a family, you won't be approached as much. Especially if you look like you're married. Never pay the price you're told. NEVER. Even in old town, if you don't look Egyptian, the starting price will be high. In Sekalla, the vendors wil give you a starting price that's maybe 10X what they will accept. But if you see an ornament or something you like, before you buy it, look on Alibaba to see how much it really costs, cus it's all imported from China. Even the hotels sell fake sunglasses - Chinese copies of known brands. If you want to buy clothes, go to a market in old town. (North of the marina and Al Mina mosque) You'll get far better prices for far better quality than if you go into a tourist shop. Especially the tourist shops on the coast. If you MUST get a taxi from the airport, consider asking someone to get one for you, and insist on paying the driver in front of them. And if you're including a tip, make sure you tell him and that he understands. He's still likely to find an excuse to ask for more money when you get where you're going, but as long as you never put your luggage in the trunk, he has no leverage. NEVER put your luggage in the trunk, or the driver has you in the palm of his hand. Hurghada is very safe. Nobody will try to hurt you, but they will try everything else, to get the money out of your pocket. Don't go out with a large sum of money. In fact, if you see something you want to buy, just walk past, then take money out of your wallet, so that you only have enough for what you'd consider a fair price for it. That way, you can show them how much you have, and they can either agree to your price, or you can walk away and they have no further argument. They will often try to look offended, insulted or angry. That's good. It's not real. It's all part of the game and it just lets you know that you got a decent price. If they weren't happy with what you offered, they wouldn't agree to the sale. As for things to do...boat trips can be cool. But if you go to giftun island, don't buy anything there. It's insanely expensive. There's usually food and drink on the boat. It may even be free if it's the hotel's boat and it's an all-inclusive hotel. There are also glass bottomed boats that can take you out. You can even go fishing if you like. There are day trips from Hurghada to Luxor if you have the energy for that. It's a long bus ride though, and Luxor is going to be a lot hotter than Hurghada. If you run out of water in your hotel room, go find the cleaner's trolly and grab some off that while they're busy cleaning a room. If you order a room service meal, do NOT get drinks with it. They will charge stupid prices for a bottle of coke or something. In the lobby of your hotel, they will probably have a stand full of leaflets for local businessees and activities. That's a good place to look. Or, if you have an idea of the kind of things you'd like to do, just ask someone at the hotel. Make sure you keep a map with you, so they can point you in the right direction. Even if it's just a small map on one of the leaflets. If it's a long way, use an Uber. I'd also recommend using an uber to get from the airport if you don't feel like walking. But really....I'd walk. It's a good way to stretch your legs after the flight. Which hotel are you staying at?
I'm looking at videos as well, trying to see if I want to go and you are right, the comments are just complete crap, people just criticising travel bloggers from from their couches. There is not any app you can go to where the toxicity is not overbearing... Sorry you have to deal with that.
Genuine question , when it comes to clothing for the females to wear can they wear what they want ? Apart from religious places of course. Just we are staying in hurghada at end of June and just wondering if she would be okay like standard shorts and a vest top when walking around and bikini in hotel areas and what not ?
Females can wear what they want. They are no restrictions. If you are visiting a mosque, you are obviously expected to dress appropriately. Aside from that females can wear what they want. Egypt is not strict like that
Thats not Really true. I have been in Egypte 10 times. A woman should Cover Her Legs and Arms. !!!! And of course cover boobs. Respect the culture. If You are in resort u Can wear whatever. But OUTSIDE resort think twice. 🙏🙏💫💫💫🧿
I asked hotel porter how much a taxi would cost to hurghada town he said 3 ..I went outside hotel to the taxi sharks outside ,got in ,,, he said 20 I said no I’ll give you 5 , he said ok ,on the way back was worse because there are lots of middle men arranging a taxi for you for a. Fee, even though the taxis are waiting ,
It's not complicated to get a visa at the airport if you check the information before you leave to travel. Immigration cards should be handed out on the flight. I live here now but have flown into Hurghada or sharm probably about 60 times never had a problem
Thanks for commenting. Unfortunately I do not know the price as I didn’t go to Luxor, however there are a lot of people selling reasonably priced trips in the town area. Don’t use the Hotel to book as they are very expensive
We got visas on arrival, that was 1st scum in this town. That was our 2nd visit in Egypt and last one for sure, Egypt should change name for SCUMGYPT !
500 egyptian lira is equivalent to 8 GBP, so you are literally argued about 3 pouds? Take Uber next time, hotel will charge you USD 20, I got my pick up arranged with my AirBnB landlord, 15 min ride for USD 10.
Things I Learned in Egypt: • Adult-only hotels are actually retirement homes. • Elderly people are very quick and eager to show pictures of their children and grandchildren. • In Arab countries, marriage is a business; instead of camels or chickens as in the past, the groom must gift the bride’s parents household appliances like televisions or ovens. • Cats are dirty and dusty, also emaciated and disease-ridden, many have only one functioning eye. • Camels taste like beef. • All the people outside the hotel are despicable. They have no respect for you, and it wouldn’t surprise me if the waiters (outside the hotel) spit in your food.
You so negative, i been in Egypt twice last year with my wife and the visa process was so smooth and easy, can’t wait to go back this year, love to Egypt 🇪🇬 ❤❤❤😂
Taxi should have cost more than 30-100le and that 100 with cover a good distance. If they know your staying in a nice hotel they will try get more money from you. From an airport expect to pay 70-200 maximum, that’s if your not even staying in hurghada 200, 70 within hurghada.

To be honest, I don’t know if the weather is good either. Are you looking to visit both Cairo and Hurghada or just Hurghada
Travelling to Hurghada in 7 weeks. I wonder if it’s safe for a young family with small children ?
Yes it is safe.
Very safe
Nice work ❤
Thanks Shani
What tours/excursions are available in hurghuda/Makida Bay ?
Hi @adzway TV. Which area did you stay in, was it the Marina? And are yiu happy with wehere you stayed or would you choose differently?
I stayed in Pickalbatros Citadel Sahl Hasheesh Resort, which is a bit far from the Marina. It was a really good resort hotel
do a little research & ensure you have the correct amount of dollars for the visa. We have also previously been stung by airport taxis we recomend having a previously paid for service, or if chancing it now that it is available using UBER as the fair is previously agreed & paid electronically.
Totally agree
Do you recommend staying in makadi bay or hurghada area cause it’s a bit confusing on which place is more interesting
I haven’t visited Makadi bay yet, but I know Hurghada is really nice
I'm looking at coming on my own would u recommend it
@@MaureenMead Yes, it is totally safe
The peteol is like 3-5 Egypt pund/ litet.. so you paid him 1/4 of his monthly salary
You need to apply for visa before you arrive at the airport?
We're going to Hugarda in May, it's our First time also with 2 young children.
Thanks for the info in your vids.
Anything we should avoid and any recommendations of things to do has a family.
Thanks so much x
I recommend using Uber to travel around as the price is reasonable and the taxi driver wouldn’t cheat you. Hotels and local taxi drivers would overcharge you for using their taxis and sometimes might ask you to pay in foreign currency
You need to visit the Marina, the mosque next to the Marina and also El Dahar(Old Town). There is also a lot of water-sports activities you can go on
Take about £25 with you, so you can pay for your visa at the airport. The visa is about $25, but it’s good to have a bit more on you
This might sound a silly question.. Is it better to pay in Dollors, ££ or local currency?
Thank you for your reply. x
@@DNZAS1979 I will pay in £ or $ for the visa only as the exchange rate at the airport might be ridiculous. Once you are out of the airport, use local currency only for food, taxis and tours
Hope this makes sense
that's brilliant - thanks so much.
Thank you for being so informative. 👊
How hot is it in Egypt in February
Quite hot
@@AdzwayTV how many degrees will it be?
@@JS-jj1vg cannot remember to be honest 😂
Do you need visa if you going for 1 week?
Yes you do. I suppose you are a British passport holder
I'm looking at videos as well, trying to see if I want to go and you are right, the comments are just complete crap, people just criticising travel bloggers from from their couches. There is not any app you can go to where the toxicity is not overbearing... Sorry you have to deal with that.
It’s okay. They guys on their couches don’t know better😂
Hi, I wonder if it is good time to go July to Hurghada? Would you suggest?
I think it’s good all season to be honest 👍🏾
no very hot in July
What hotel did you stay ?
Genuine question , when it comes to clothing for the females to wear can they wear what they want ? Apart from religious places of course. Just we are staying in hurghada at end of June and just wondering if she would be okay like standard shorts and a vest top when walking around and bikini in hotel areas and what not ?
Females can wear what they want. They are no restrictions. If you are visiting a mosque, you are obviously expected to dress appropriately. Aside from that females can wear what they want. Egypt is not strict like that
Thankyou so much for that!!
@@dylanwilson9635 No worries
Are there any mosques near ?
Can women pray in the mosques
Thats not Really true. I have been in Egypte 10 times. A woman should Cover Her Legs and Arms. !!!! And of course cover boobs. Respect the culture. If You are in resort u Can wear whatever. But OUTSIDE resort think twice. 🙏🙏💫💫💫🧿
500 for a taxi isn't to bad maybe £13 uk , good video still thanks
I asked hotel porter how much a taxi would cost to hurghada town he said 3 ..I went outside hotel to the taxi sharks outside ,got in ,,, he said 20 I said no I’ll give you 5 , he said ok ,on the way back was worse because there are lots of middle men arranging a taxi for you for a. Fee, even though the taxis are waiting ,
Hurghada is crazy when it comes to taxis
Me and my family are going next year. Is it hard to get a visa ? Is there any information you could pass on please
No, it isn’t hard to get a visa. You can get a visa at the airport. Just have some cash on you. At least £100
@@AdzwayTV no way to get rejected for the visa when you apply for one once you arrive ?
Also thank you for your reply great video
No one with a British and American passport got rejected
Thanks
It's not complicated to get a visa at the airport if you check the information before you leave to travel. Immigration cards should be handed out on the flight. I live here now but have flown into Hurghada or sharm probably about 60 times never had a problem
Do you know how much cost to Luxor by taxi and back?
Thanks for commenting. Unfortunately I do not know the price as I didn’t go to Luxor, however there are a lot of people selling reasonably priced trips in the town area. Don’t use the Hotel to book as they are very expensive
@AdzwayTV thanks, I mean if you go further than 300 km. by taxi, do you think it will be more than 200€ ?
@SuperKaloyan No, it shouldn’t be. Shop around I will say
We got visas on arrival, that was 1st scum in this town. That was our 2nd visit in Egypt and last one for sure, Egypt should change name for SCUMGYPT !
If i have Europe passport i need visa for week holiday?
Hi, I should think so, as British citizens need a visa 👍🏾👍🏾
Don’t waste words with taxi drivers, just shake your head slowly and wag your index finger, they’ll understand body language
Haha. I agree
Your taxi driver would rather get paid in pounds because the local currency fluctuates too much.
I’m going to Egypt and Wednesday
You are gonna have a good time. Enjoy 😉
Bro you get around!
Yes Yes. 🙌🏾
Hie if I go to Egypt with my brp uk residence card and my Zimbabwean passport, will they agree or not. ?
Better direct this question at the Egyptian Embassy or Consulate in the UK.
Is it safe for solo women???
Yes it is
Thank you iv booked for September @AdzwayTV
@katrinamackenzie8789 You will have a good time
500 egyptian lira is equivalent to 8 GBP, so you are literally argued about 3 pouds? Take Uber next time, hotel will charge you USD 20, I got my pick up arranged with my AirBnB landlord, 15 min ride for USD 10.
So many people telling me I shouldn’t be taking my kids to Egypt next year. What are your thoughts on taking kids ?
I can’t comment on that I am afraid.
Egypt is a very safe country, not sure why would anyone think it's not safe for kids.
lol what kind of a kid who don't like it in egypt hahaha you are hilarious jack
I am going next month with my family,no one said not to go with children
Things I Learned in Egypt:
• Adult-only hotels are actually retirement homes.
Use Uber in hurgada to stop the scammers
Is hurghada gay friendly? We are planning to go, me and my partner but a bit anxious how they treat gay people
If it's not obvious and you don't mention it, they don't care.
Just don’t show your affection in public and you’ll be alright
Don't use taxi drivers. Use Lyft instead
Our skin can take it
The difference between 500 Egyptian pounds and 250 Egyptian pounds is £4, all that aggro over £4 🤣 Good visa info though 👍
Pleased that you found the visa info useful and thanks for watching my video
@@AdzwayTV Thanks for making it, good to get some research in before a potential holiday 😎
Toll fare at airport no more than 30egp
Always stick with Uber in hurghada set prices and can’t get scammed!!
