That little drone is pretty tough 🙂. We are torn between so many places, it really is not easy to make a decision . Thank You for following along 👍, Michelle and Holger 🙏
Northern Saskatchewan, Northern Manitoba, Northern Ontario. That's the Overlanding trip I'm most stoked for myself right now. The FISHING. Canoe fishing. Living off the land... 😍
Really like Northern Ontario, but would definitely need more time for that. We never really looked into Northern Manitoba or Saskatchewan, but should probably do some research on it for the future. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
Great channel guys! First, go where your heart takes you. I’ve been curious about exploring the Sunshine Coast and don’t see too much content on it. So that would be cool if you get to exploring over there sometime. Keep it coming & safe travels.
Thank You! We've been talking about the Sunshine Coast. It would be relatively easy to get there from the Island as well. Certainly something we will consider 🙂. Thank You for your feedback and all the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
Thank You 🙂. Very true, we're just having a difficult time to nail it down...so many things we want to do 🙂. Thank You as always for your support and all the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
Hi Michelle & Holger. Great video, really enjoyed the drone shots before the crash, ouch! 😪.Our drone has hit the odd tree branch or other object while flying backwards, so we relate! You really live in a nice location to access the back country. Would this inlet be along the same MacBlo FSR that heads south of PA towards Nitinat Lake? We used to be avid wind surfers had been to Nitinat Lake to camp and surf. We really miss our camping days, so when we get to see the shots of your camp life it really brings back many fun memories for us. For your September travel, I guess ti really depends on budget. So, no matter what you choose, we'll be there watching. If we were to suggest, of course we'd say come to the Okanagan. 😄 Second choice, we think the Boundary Country offers lots of history if you'd like to find those abandoned places and mining towns in the Boundary/West Kootenay area. Its been great content for our channel adventures. See you on the next one! Tom & Suzanne
Thank You, guys. Yes, it is the same inlet, but on the other side. We have not been to Nitnat, yet, but will probably head that direction in the next few weeks. These little drones are pretty tough, was really surprised that there was no damage. We are considering Boundary Country after watching your video. We'll certainly have to do a bit more research on it. Thank You as always for your support 🙂. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
Wow what a gorgeous spot to camp!!! Maybe we can camp there one day 😉 Thank goodness your drone is ok!! Walt says he will take a number & a spot in line for Holgers Deli. Thanks for a great video! Cheers Walt & Joanne
Thank You! It is one of our favorite places close to home. We usually just go there for day trips and only camped there once before. Beautiful spot for sure 🙂. Put your order in now! There might be a line up by....September? Thank You as always for finding a moment😉, Michelle and Holger 🙏
Another good video. Last summer my wife and I took our small RV from Bamfield to Tuktoyaktuk and back. Did it in two weeks and weren’t rushed at all. Probably the best road trip I or we have ever done. So many cool stops along the way. Liard hot springs was a highlight but honestly camping right on the shores of the Arctic Ocean is something I will never forget and the people of Tuk are absolutely amazing. The 24 hr Sunshine is amazing. If you are interested in any details shoot me a message. We are here in port as well.
We've been looking into this for months now and somehow think that 3 weeks is not enough. It is very very high on the list of things we really want to do. Tried to see if you have an email address on your channel to contact you for more info, but could not find it. Thank You very much for your ongoing support👍. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
So what was the magic elixir you poured into your coffee ? Baileys , Kahlua ? I tune into your channel because of the Vancouver Island content. Where you take your 3 week holiday is really your choice. Your coverage of wherever you go will still attract your viewers
It's just cream😉! We really want to do more on VI, especially up north. At the moment it looks like the economical choice. Thank You as always for your support 🙂. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
Thank You very much 🙂! We do have friends and family in the area, so that could certainly be an option. Thank You for following along and all the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
I like all those options 😀 if it was me and I had 3 weeks id go from Vancouver Island to Idaho to Montana up to Alberta and over to Northern BC and back to the Island 😁
Great video guys, loved all the scenery its such a beautiful spot I cant wait to spend a night there. I'm glad we will never live up the "drones don't float" moment haha. Cheers and I will see you soon!
Such a great spot! Would love to truck camp there, we’ve only done day trips. Too bad we weren’t home that weekend to stop by. Enjoyed the drone recovery clips and hash brown creativity 😂 Thanks for taking us along! All your holiday options sound fantastic, would be so hard to choose! Look forward to seeing where you decide to explore. 😊👍🏻 Cheers, Greg and Erin
We usually just do day trips there as well. I think this was only our 2nd time camping there. We really like the spot by the creek. Something always seems to happen when we go camping 😂. Thank You for following along 👍 All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
So happy your drone did not land in the water. I'm sure your feet were very cold, but awesome you were able to get the drone back. This looked like a beautiful spot to camp at. I think all four of your options sound amazing for a big trip.
Thank You 🙂! That was a close call for sure. The water was cold, but actually not as cold as I thought it would be. Still would not go in there if I didn't have to 🙂. Thank you as always for your support and all the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
What an amazing spot. I've got to do a trip on the water like this looks amazingly peaceful. Lots of great areas in UTAH it's on my list Utah and Arizona. Just gave you a sub as well. God Bless
Thank You 🙂. Utah and Arizona have been on our list of places to visit for a long time now. Thank You for following along and all the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
Consider Tumbler Ridge and its dinosaur tracks and museum as well as local beauty. Back via Grand Prairie and foothills of the rockies..Or,,,, Go to Yellowstone early when it first opens, exit east to Cody and spend a day at Buffalo Bill Museum. East to Lovell stop at Park HQ for Bighorn Canyon NRM east over the Bighorn Range to Sheridan and I90. Then you decide,,,,,,,,
Great video. I commend the work you put into it to get all the shots. Lots of camera setup. I vote for heading north. Up to Whitehorse . A trip we hoped to do this year but might be next now ( with sidetrip to Watson lake and signpost forest ) There are way too many you tubers doing the USA. I prefer to follow BC content. It is harder to find. Keep up the great work.
Thank You very much 🙂! We agree with you 100% on the BC content. Going up North sounds like a good idea to us, as we also have family and friends up there. Thank You for your feedback and all the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
Enjoyed the video that spot is one of our favourite spots on the island😄 Glad they backed there product for the fridge👍 Drone scares are always the worst You should consider Prince Edward Island it is such a beautiful part of the country Safe Travels Mike N Sheila OV the North ✌🇨🇦
It's a beauty that one 🙂. We will eventually head out east to visit friends in Nova Scotia and will have to check out PEI as well as Newfoundland while in the area. That will be a longer trip, though 🙂. Safe travels and all the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
At least the drone didn't land in the water! Cool overhead shots of the ducks😎 I haven't had Sloppy Joes in a very long time😋 Check out northern B.C. and catch video of some Bison and maybe a Grizzly🦬🐻 Great camp site you've got there😁
Thanks👍! Yeah, I though the ducks were pretty cool. They were hanging out there during low tide where the creek flows into the inlet. I think we are trending towards the north, at the moment at least. Would be really neat to see some Bison, not so sure about the Grizzly, at least not up close 😂. Thank You as always for your support 👍. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
@@backroadjournals Just have your bear spray and a change of underwear and pants for meeting any Grizzlys 😁 Don't try to pet the Bison ('Fluffy Cows") either😃
I've been liking your intros more and more and this one was particularly good... 'drones don't float.' 😂 That water looked very cold. Epic shots as always though I'm a little disappointed Sudbury wasn't on your list of vacation options. 😂
Thank You👍 ! Intros are usually the last step in putting the video together, just having fun with it🙂. The water was pretty cold, but not as cold as I expected. Well, Sudbury was not on the list🙂 . BUT, we will at least be passing through it when we will be heading out east towards Nova Scotia. That, however, is for another year🙂 Thank You as always for your support 👍. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
Hi from Calgary, The last video there was a problem with the battery in your Jeep. I assume you sorted it out. Thank God for the Tacoma. Four more days till I am on Vancouver Island. I am staying in Victoria then headed up Island for a couple days in Campbell River.
We had the battery tested at CT and it came back 'GOOD'. However, when I test the battery with a multimeter, the voltage is below what it should be, but the vehicle still starts. I think the battery too weak to hold it's charge when it gets cold over night. So I think a new battery will be coming soon. Enjoy the Island 👍. The Campbell River area is one of our favorite on the Island. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
It certainly is the economical choice at the moment and there is still so much to explore🙂. We're a bit torn between the Island and Mainland. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
Honestly, I usually stop watching ppl who travel south. Just me, I don’t have much interest. I do love the north. Might be heading there later this summer, and take the ferry home. I love my old stomping grounds …. ps: luv Arden
We have family in Quesnel and friends in Williams Lake. Beautiful area and it sure looks like there is lots to explore. July is just unfortunately not going to work. Thank You for your suggestion 👍 All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
