  • I never saw this coming! What an amazing song by such an entertaining band. I've only watched this like 30 times since yesterday!!!
Welcome to my “Modern Life for the 70's Mind” RUclips Channel. On this channel, I not only take a look at the songs and history that made us who we are today, but also introduce you to today's modern music as well. Any songs that combine the two are always a winner. I've always loved music and have always tried to keep a balance between the classic music I fell in love with and today's MUCH DIFFERENT sounds. Here's we'll analyze both. We’ll even take some time and revisit some of the old parts of our past that have disappeared from today’s shelves and most people’s memories, I call it Bob's Cabinet of Curiosities. Let’s relive those moments together! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking time out of your day to check in. I appreciate it more than I can say here.

Glad you loved this. They're a really cool band, pretty unusual. My favorite of theirs is actually their rendition of "You Are My Sunshine". They perform it as the grim song that it is. This one is a close second, though. :) Their "People Are Strange" cover is excellent, too.

    Hi Bob...
    Thanks Bob...
😄...yes just a couple of hours ago I found your channel..I might..have mentioned this group...a leading group in New Bluegrass music...
Yes they have covers such as "House of The Rising Sun" and original work...
Such a fun video today..I think there was some spousal abuse going on..but I'm uncertain if either met their maker...but such a cool visual...the cello played as a bass guitar..the banjo..and the slick dance moves 😄...
    Thanks Bob...now !!...have you reviewed...
Avi Kaplan ???...ex bass of PTX...please if not...review ...
"Change on the Rise" ...certainly a song that'll put steel in your spine...🌿🌿🌿

Hi Bob. I've never heard about this band before, but I liked this song, just like you. And I have to say that I've been exposed to sooo much music that I normally never would have listened to, were it not for my last 18 months of boosting Angelina and Aurora on so many channels :-) It's just great tbh. But a bit overwhlming, too. There's just not hours in the day to do much deep diving into my discoveries. But there have been a few deep dives, and it's been worth it.
But I have to tell you, Bob, that in that heap of reaction channels, you stand out to me as one of the very best. I know I've told you before, but a good thing just can't be said too often, right ? So keep grinding like you do and be sure to invite me to your reactions... Lol Take care Bob!

You are WAY too kind...again. Ha. Thanks so much. Can I just call you PHS? Saying hi to poolhallshark just doesn't have the right ring to it. LOL I'm fine either way, just let me know what you prefer. Thanks ONCE AGAIN for the listening. I really appreciate it.

    • @poolhallshark

@@ModernLifeForThe70sMind LOL. PHS is already being used by a lot of reactors, and I'm ofc totally fine with that. My real name is Hans. The origin of the name is German, but I'm as Norwegian as can be. It's a fairly common name, often times combined with another first name. I also have a double-name like that, but Hans will do nicely. But just use PHS, Pool, Sharkey or whatever 🤣🤣🤣
      Take care, Bob❤️🔥😎🇺🇸🇸🇯❤️

Speaking of Alison Krauss, you should check out her band Union Station. Also, Dan Tyminski, lead guitarist and vocals of Union Station does a has a nice bluegrass/celtic mixup of a song called "The Boy Who Wouldn't Hoe Corn". I highly recommend it and it's fun for the ears.

Interesting selection, never heard of them - but very nice.I'll check out more of their music. Another band from the south to consider is Creed Fisher. They have an incredible lead singer & do a great performance of their original patriotic song - This Place Called USA.

THE DEAD SOUTH IS A CANADIAN BLUEGRASS BAND . IN THIS SONG THE RHYTHM AND BEAT IS SET BY THE CELLO . THE BANJO REINFORCES THE RYTHM AND PLAYS ON THE BEAT AND OFF THE BEAT . THE FINGERSNAPS ARE ON THE OFF BEAT , TAKING THE PLACE OFF THE MISSING MANDOLYN ,WHICH NORMALLY PLAY A DOWN -CHOP STROKE ON THE OFF BEAT . THE GUYS SINGING THE TWO LEADS , ARE BACKED BY THE GUY WITH THE BEARD , WHO SINGS THE HIGH HARMONY PART . PERFECTLY DONE ; ONE OFTHE CATCHY-EST TUNES OF ALL TIME

@@ModernLifeForThe70sMind I really suggest “Banjo Odyssey”, “You Are My Sunshine”, and “Broken Cowboy”. Another great Canadian to check out is Colter Wall, he is more country and reminds me of Johnny Cash. Check out “The Devil Wears a Suit and a Tie”, “Cowpoke” and 13 Silver Dollars” (again anything on his playlist is AMAZING!!).

Somebody already suggest, Steve n seagulls are really good bluegrass rock. Another band in this same vibe that I recommend is Bridge City Sinners: ruclips.net/video/ZDgp1Z3EPVU/видео.html follows the same story of "In Hell I'll Be In Good Company", but more dark and still fun.
