Ooh Leslie Feinberg! I've yet to read any of hir work, but Stone Butch Blues has been on my TBR for a while. Gonna add Drag King Dreams too!! Oh I've never heard of Cat Fitzpatrick, but the Call Out sounds really fun! OMG I literally just this month read Why Dust Shall Never Settle Upon the Soul! Really loved it. Ooh I loved Dead Silence so much!! OMG OMG ANY OTHER CITY!!!!! OMG I'm so jealous, I want to read it so bad!!!

Yay for book hauls. If anything comes to mind for great books with not the greatest writing, I will let you know. Year Without A Name comes to mind, it's a non-binary memoir, very good but the writing needs refinement.

I liked Stone Butch Blues a lot but it's been a hot minute haha, it did make me absolutely cry. I wanna read Drag King Dreams though, nonetheless. Bad writing has an absolute value. The Alex DiFrancesco sounds fascinating to me though, put it on my Hoopla. Ivan Coyote also sounds really fascinating too, couldn't find Loose Ends exactly though. I do love Irish Murdoch too, I read her a lot in my undergrad especially for a class but I dig her a lot. The Lars Horn sounds AMAZING, can't find it though online :/ but curious if you like it. This was a really good haul though, sorry for making a running commentary hahaha but I was like OOOH sounds cool

Happy to see you mention Lote again! I also loved it and wish more people were reading and talking about it. I've only seen you and Heroine's Corner discuss it so far but I will go search for others. Happy New Year, Sage! From a normally silent subscriber who felt compelled to comment😊

Iris Murdoch is great, and not appreciated enough! I think you'll like her work.

Love this. The Wood Wife sounds intriguing, added to my TBR. I don’t normally find scary books that scary, but I stopped reading Dead Silence in bed at night because it was creeping me out too much 😂 excellent story though 🙂

The roundhouse was my first Louis Erdrick book and it's phenomenal, I hope you get a lot out of it.
