    Almost all "cupcakes" in Philippines stores are dry and fluffy. :) It's like a very budget friendly cupcake. Very few cupcakes (other brands) has moist centers.

    Ube is Purple Yam.
    Lipps used to come in only the Red Variety Cherry flavor.
    That's what made it popular aside from it can indeed color your lips and it stays for hours and doesn't smudge. Girls love 'em.

    • @zhaquiri
      @zhaquiri 8 лет назад

      +Genkuro Shuriken Yeah, the Yum box people really should put that in the description, because it only makes sense for the red variety. I've seen so many of these videos with the Lipps mango candy, and many people have ended up putting them on as lipstick.

    You guys just ate through my whole childhood! Polvoron is actually made with just toasted flour, milk powder, sugar and lard or vegetable shortening. Nowadays, they created flavored versions and I can't thank Goldilocks enough for the cookies and cream one. You should have had pastillas though. And yes, I agree with the sweet corn. You should try Clover chips next time you'd be more addicted to it, I swear.

    Weird though, I'm a Filipino and all of the food in the first snack video, and this one, are mostly snacks that we grew up eating. But this is the first time I've seen that pineapple-butterscotch bar. Now, I have to try that, and I seriously have no idea where to get it.

    Glad you enjoyed the Filipino Snacks... I suggest you try Chicha corn which you can find in FV Foods. If you loved Sweet Corn, you will definitely love Chicha corn (try the butter flavor first in case they have different flavors available here now). It's a hybrid of popcorn/cornick. I can't explain but you gotta experience it. (This is the only thing that's going on in my head while I was watching your video 1 and 2).

    I saw your video part 1 of the Filipino snack tasting. I enjoyed watching you two. You are honest in your opinion and you do not hesitate to say if you don't like it. I am Filipina but even I have not heard of some of the snacks you tried. Never tried that 'pinky' or that pandan cake. I'm not really thrilled in 'packaged' cake. So I'm with you on that one; it doesn't look that great and I would pass on that one. I ate a lot of that Polvaron when I was a kid. I think polvaron in Spanish means 'powder'. My brother used to make home made; the basic recipe consist of powdered milk, flour, sugar and butter. Now they have all these fancy flavors. Anyways, you two are soooo fun to watch. I love your jokes. You have great personalities and very open-minded. Oh and I forgot to mention, we do have COSTCO here in California. They have them large size package dried mango. If I see that sweet corn, I will let you know.
