Noticed a lot of EE-binding in this game, which is pretty typical of Insomniac's engine. Deadlocked seemed to push the hardware itself a little too far and caused noticeable slowdowns the most... If you'd like to fix this, make sure you have MTVU on and enable speedhacks; increase the EE cyclerate to compensate for engine slowdowns. This might cause some games to run faster than intended or cause physics bugs however, so beware.

Yes, that is one of the many problems that the PS3 and PS Vita versions have. Of course you only notice them if you have played a lot of the PS2 versions
You shouldn't have put the Swingshot into the "tools". It is selected automatically during the jump if you are close enough to the aim even if you have a gun at the moment

the first game as a kid I played from start to finish on the ps2
For the Clank’s parts: if you chose “Enter”, the robots will enter the portal to the next floor. You didn’t have to tricked them into following you 🤣🤣

The requirements to run this game are surprisingly low for how good it looks. Was very pleased to emulate this on my budget build.

No dude, not in R&C 1.
That feature is not a thing until R&C 3 and even then it's not perfect.
