If for whatever reason you see the paragraph tab and not paragraph styles tab you are not alone. Go ahead and highlight a month then the properties tab on the right should populate with it(and not as a tab in the paragraph tab). After that, you can hit a drop-down arrow and the bottom of the list you click manage styles. And boom you should get a floating paragraph tab. I'm thinking it because of the newer version of InDesign but I'm not sure. it took me hours to figure this out. Also, make sure you have on essentials classic workspace and not the essentials. the essentials are missing option bar at the top. You would have to re-enable the properties and paragraph style again if you do this. I'm sure this will help someone.
I'm trying to creat a calendar for 2022 by watching your video. I'm using the lastest version of Adobe InDesign, but I can see only paragraph not paragraph styles. Please help!

I wish you wouldn't wiggle your mouse too much, it's so annoying (for me, at least).. I see where the mouse is! Or get a mouse pointer that shows background color if you think it's not enough.. but please. 😭

same- in Window, go to Styles, then paragraph styles. He may have it set up different but that works for me.
