- Walk around and show case what I had to deal with trying to put this frame together. they are not put together very well.
lots of tolerances are off. Hard ware missing i.e self tapping screws. holes drilled in wrong location.
at least you can see the bracket set up and a sample of where you might have to add extra washers.
Hi, I hate to say I'm glad to see I'm not stupid. This thing has been a royal pain in the ass. I didn't find your video till after I put it together. Thank you for the video
Great video, wish I would have found this before I assembled mine and not after. I ended up welding parts of mine, because the swedged nut plates fell out in a few spots from the factory. Cannot get mine to lay flat and I also could not tell a difference between A and B. Going to try shimming them to align better like you did and see if that fixes the problem.
Thanks for taking the time to explain the issues. I’ve been working with this Rubix cube for a couple days. Probably wouldn’t have purchased it if I’d seen this first. Chinglish instructions are useless. Did you figure out what the two 8 inch pieces with the angled ends and a boss are for?
Instructions have a “note” saying they are used for front engine vans which (they spelt witch lol) are not included with this manual. Piece of shite. So frustrating
How did it bolt up in your van? I was getting ready to purchase this one. I might hold off and look for another vendor?
Don’t buy this one. Just finished it in my bus. It’s a real bitch, and I just posted a video on it. Going to swap out for the Rust Lee one later this year. (Same price as this one, but $300 to ship to North America).
I had some of the same issues putting it together. No real instructions of how and where items were to bolted together or with which bolts. My problem now is do you level the seat bottom to mount? if so the seat will be level but you can't level the bed. Level the bed and the seat bottom tips forward. Does anyone have a correct install video of the cip1 rock and roll bed. Actually bolting it in?
I posted a full video last week. It’s a real pain.
I’m going to bite the bullet and buy the rusty Lee one later this year and swap it out.
