To this day, my favorite movie villain. He was cruel, a snob, but was an absolute badass, would jump off his horse and go right into a fight. I remember being in a crowded theater when you thought he was dead the first time, the whole place erupted. When it turned out he wasn't, the boos and popcorn flying around was crazy. Jason Isaacs played that character so damn good.

But him not even trying to hear Martin like he's not a rich landowner who could be useful if he became a Loyalist but a high school janitor of some sort- what the hell is this??? It's still Martin's land! It's not like he was harboring spies- he gave shelter and care to the wounded Reb soldiers! It's like Martin's land is already Tavington's! I am not a father, but if things go like they seem to be going I will have a child with a girl who I consider was beyond my wildest dreams. I didn’t know I could like so much about a person. I am so grateful to be with her and looking forward to the future.
But man, even though right now I don’t have a child, if someone did that to my child. There is literally nothing that’s out of bounds for the person who did that.
I would do anything. And that’s genuinely a scary person to leave alive.
Also I do love how at 4:05, the British officer that carried out his orders knew how horrific what he did is, a boat load of suumariale executions. was probably ashamed and was sad that these children witnessed it.
He’s not proud at all, he’s ashamed.

When people ask if the 2nd amendment is outdated or needs more regulation…this is why it’s by far the most important amendment. People are naive and think we live in a world where governments won’t act like this anymore.

Maynmar is the most modern example. The military literally overthrew the democratic government, and when the people went to the streets to protest, the soldiers were ordered to shoot them. Many were killed, but the backlash has been insane.
The rebel groups, which were very fringe and had little support, gained vastly in manpower and influence. As of to date, they’ve taken over somewhere between a quarter to a third of the country.

It's worse than that. It's not that they think their government won't act like this, it's that they think, if the time comes, their government will protect them.
