I believe that the animals enjoy doing this. I've been to the Columbus zoo and watch their show's and the animals look so happy and they get excited before the show begins because you can hear them! They know when the show starts! Plus if they didn't like it they wouldn't do it.
I just watched this in awe like do the people have rehearsal for the new human preformers?? If i end up working it i want to be sure i can try and follow the script since i love animals and all. So i need to research all i can so that i dont miss a que.
As much as I love this zoo, the animals having to do these shows three to four times a day is pure torture. I hope they switch out animals every two days so they can rest and be animals. I am shocked for the Jacksonville zoo and gardens to have this show because they seem so into providing wonderful enclosures for the animals. The show I will admit is a nice addition to the zoo and looks to be popular with guests. But do we care about our enjoyment over how the animals are treated? Great video by the way!
I just saw this show yesterday, and it is amazing. They have great breaktimes for the animals, multiple hours apart. They dont have to do it at all, as they allow the animals to not preform. I agree that animals should be kept happy (Although im not a PETA person.) and the zoo does reward them.
