To me, the room represents a dreamlike sort of delusional state of a romanticised (“it’s so romanticised” in Bittersuite on HMHAS) situation. It also looks a lot like a hotel suite. The water trickling in and the lights flickering to me is like the delusion is breaking, reality is seeping through the cracks. Then she “opens up the door” (like in Chihiro) and swims through to the roof of the house. I absolutely see the falling through the door (on the album cover of the newest album) association with the happier than ever video!
Male Fantasy is so highly underrated!! And it was the right way to end the album. No matter how hard you try to convince yourself that you are over it , you really aren’t.

In fact if you ever hear the line in some songs earlier than mid 2000s of the line down your machine or into your machine it is referring to peoples answering machines! A great song with that line that I cannot think of right now! I know this comment is out of context from this video… but I just want to mention about our generation pop artist standard acceptance that had been criticized gen Z and millennial people. When I came acrossed the pages in opinion of who should be the perfect pop artist, they seem to criticized and downgraded the quality of which supposedly to be so called “POP ARTIST, POP SONG”. For example, mostly people tend to say Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan has a bland taste to be called pop song. They keep comparing and complaining to our new generation pop artist. Comparing to old pop artist such as Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, Eminem and etc is sickening because obviously we can’t have them back since they human they grow and old. We had great new musical artist like Olivia Rodrigo, Conan Gray, Laufey and so on. All I’m trying to say is, please stop comparing and downgraded other artist just because they song were trendy and always keep playing on radio, advertisements or TikTok. Saying their music are bland, overrated and overhyped was not a good idea. I’m not saying artist shouldn’t have been criticized because in art were a form of improvement solution. Keep in mind, these artist has shaped our modern day excitement and life of music. We need new generation of artist to replace our getting old artist. Let people enjoy their music taste. Thank you.
