Down here in OB this weekend. I bought a BamaSaltwater pompano rig for the surf today, not because I can't tie it myself, but because I wanted to support you in some small way at least. Your channel is where I get my fishing fix when I'm back home in Birmingham.
I am a 57-year-old woman new to fishing, my three sons have fished all their life and I never went out on the boat until I started watching your Channel. Just wanted to say thank you for going over everything you use, identifying the fish that you catch and you don't have to be perfect. You've taught me so much I just want to say thank you. I am hooked on fishing. I know what I'm doing when I retire. South Palm Beach, FL
My sons and I watch all of your videos. We appreciate you for your knowledge, passion and love of the Lord! We use your rigs when we are there on vacation every year. Love all your videos but greatly appreciate the ones from the beach since that is how we fish. Keep up the great work and we will keep supporting you sir. Thanks for all you do
Love watching your videos Stephen especially love you fishing with your mama. I lost my mama 10 years ago she was a die hard fisher! Love southern gentleman respect with the always yes maam! Keep the videos coming I live in south Mississippi I am a fisherman myself. I live 50 minutes from mobile and 45 minutes from New Orleans
I love it went your mom goes fishing with you. I hope she didn't get sun burned. But I saw she covered up after awhile. Love the fishing and the cooking. Good job!
So happy to find your video. You are the only fisherman that I watch. In my younger years, I fished in just about the same places that you fish. It's wonderful that you get to fish with your mom. Enjoy her as long as you have her because its hard when your parents are gone.
love your youtube videos! as a fisherman myself that lives in the 251 area seeing your videos are an absolute pleasure! thank you for them! it teaches me about the art of fishing and what i need to do to take care of my boat when i get one someday. thank you for all you do!!🤘🏽
Man I wish I could go fish with you for half a day! The good energy and vibe you put off and take with you and the knowledge you have it is awsome! Keep the content coming my guy!!
Was lucky to catch a couple of pompano earlier this week. In my opinion they are the best the ocean offers. Respects to a man who fishes with his Mom even when she out fishes him :) From "Bama born in Texas.
I was down in gulf shores the first weekend of may and have been watching your videos on pompano fishing. Stopped by hooked up and purchased a few of your pomp rigs and had a blast catching them on the beach! First time surf fishing and you showed me the ropes from fishing to cleaning and cooking them! I’m definitely hooked now. Thank you!
Good mornin'! I love smiling with you and mom on a Sunday morning before RUclips church!! This is one I will watch over and over loving the beach and waves and awesome sounds of joy from mom and you! Glad to also see the big storms the other day didn't effect y'all much. Much love from Texas!!
Thanks for the sunny shores video and letting us at least imagine the warmth and smells of the seashore as we look at the snowflakes falling outside yet again.
Love your videos! Absolutely awesome to watch wholesome videos, all while learning and living vicariously through you on your life of fishing on our coast! Keep em’ coming! Roll Tide!!!
As i watch this i really can imaging hearing the surf and smelling the salt. Oh wait im sitting on a balcony 11 floors up overlooking the Gulf. Great video 👍👍
Thank you for sharing the beach view, sounds, and those beautiful pompano catches ❤ I love watching your videos and seeing what all you catch. God Bless and have an amazing weekend 🙂
Love your videos, there great!! I have learned of so many species of fish watching them. Keep up the great work, always waiting for your new ones to pop up. Thanks!
Enjoying your content, just starting to get back into fishing since i moved down here from TN. Salt water is alot different from what im use to. So much to learn and your videos are helpful. Just picked up a few rods and reels and trying to figure out the tackle and bait part now.
Hey brother, I’m trying to find a nice surf rod for my wife and love the one your mom has. So cool. Could you share what it is and where I might find one? Your videos are the best. Much appreciated.
I’ve been waiting for this video all day Stephen I appreciate and it’s a good reward at the end of a hard work week to be able to see your videos. Would love to meet up sometime and go fishing.
You ought to come up here to NC in the fall. The big Drum come out of the Chesapeake Bay and head south for the winter. Guys will line up on the piers on the Outer Banks with 13 foot rods with Penn Fathom 15's and cast out "8 'n bait" with 16 pound test monofilament. They'll be several times that 3-4 48+ inch fish will come over the rail.
Going soon to land my first Pompano. At 60'somthing it's time! Love your content, tips and catch & cook vids. Blessings from a fishing fan from north GA. 🐟☑
i was just down in orange beach this last week and was fishing your pompano rig in the portage creek in gulf shores and caught a 30+ pound drum on your rig! definitely made my trip.
My favorite clean, not crowded beach. Mom is doing awesome!!!!! Nice weather, I am jealous!!!! P.S, when does registration start for "Bama Saltwater Fishing University" ?
Right when you were talking about taking in the environment.... i noticed i havent watched the past 10 minutes... gotta rewind. Lol had me in a transe just listening
Have you ever tried Mosquito Magician in a fogger for your yard? I just heard about it from a friend who lives next to us on the river and we like that it is all natural, which is safe for humans and the environment. The foggers are about $30 & Harbor Freight. Hopefully this will get rid of the noseeums.😊
hey man love the videos what rod and reel would you recommend for dock fishing for speckled trout? we do an annual guys fishing trip down here in texas and i'm not sure what bait and what set up to use
I was looking at your redfish rig and I also use sinker slides. Not sure if you know about wisker seeker sinker sliders. I use them all the time now they never twist up and they can slip on and off easy.
Hey Brother! The wife and I came down to Ft Morgan for our anniversary. Brought the tackle and stopped off at Hooked Up Tackle and Bait and picked up six of your pomp rigs ...today's fishing was tough! A lot of wind and wicked surf conditions....a lot of rip currents. Several other fishermen left empty handed like me...one guy caught a ray and a small shark....and that was it for about 6-7 hours. Hopefully I can hook up on some.pomp or reds before we head home. Love the content and love learning about surf fishing! Thank you for all you do! God bless!
UPDATE....Nobody in the area of The Beach Club at Fort Morgan has caught anything in the surf in 2 days. Used fresh frozen shrimp, fish gum ( shrimp and clam), sand fleas.....nothing but. We saw a ton of activity beyond the second sandbar, and between the two sand bars....Bottlenose dolphins were tearing up some fish! The distance between the low tide mark and the first sandbar varies from 30' to about 80'. There were no cuts or any holes of reasonable depth....about waist deep at low tide. In some places, the sandbar came up to the beach at the low tide mark. I did fish both sides of the sandbar....but I had to walk out to the sandbar to cast because the bar was about 60-70 feet wide ... The wind was so bad, no one could read their rods to determine if there was a fish on. The wind was pulling drag off of the reels, it was blowing our casts (even with 3oz weights) way off target..... Other than that....the water was near perfect! It was flat and calm. Anyway.....it is what it is!
@@JohnChandler2006 Honestly! A rougher surf can be better fishing than flat, calm, and clear. It seems to get em feeding better! But any day fishing on the beach or in general is better than being anywhere else haha! God Bless!
I want a big.fighting red fish...are they in season? We are French and Mon used to make something with red fish in chucks in a Cajun dish called cubiyan...not sure if spelling😊
My husband and I are moving to foley in 9 days, we love your channel and hope to meet you sometime. My husband will be looking for a job at one of the tackle shops and was wondering if you knew any that are hiring, so he can get ahold of them before we leave.
@bamasaltwater the water behind your house, you ever fish around there on a boat? i’ve seen a video where you fished off the seawall. BUT what’s all around you??
Yes they will!! All depends on if they're biting and if you'r where they are biting . Ive seen some huge gator trout caught on frozen cut bait and wire rigs.
I've caught more Pompano on your pink rig. Green does decent down here as well. My PB was caught on your pink with sand flea and synthetic bait. Reminds me I need to order more. My last pink got destroyed by something with teeth. Lol
Man I would love to fish those beaches I’m in so cal and the rip is insane over here compared to you we have to use 5 oz to try and keep em straight great videos thanks
